One of a kind attractions?
FeelTheFORCE replied to Skramp's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
X2 will definitely be one-of-a-kind. X is my favorite steel coaster and is nothing like I have ever ridden. I'd suggest going to SFMM and you could also go to Universal, Disneyland, Knotts, etc.. You could also make a trip to New Jersey and go to SFGADV to ride the one-of-a-kind (at least to the US) El Toro. If you go there you could also go to Dorney Park, NYC, and Wildwood/Morey's Piers. I am going there for the first time in June! Both places are close to the ocean, it just depends on if you prefer Atlantic or Pacific! -

Silverwood Discussion Thread
FeelTheFORCE replied to Damien666's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Silverwood has made their own construction photos page. I'm curious to see what the logo will look like and what the colors will be. -
1. What do you find most useful about the front page? I use it to keep up on all the latest info about parks, coasters, TPR news, etc. 2. What do you find least useful about the front page? Nothing, really. 3. Is anything on the front page confusing? Nope. 4. How far do you scroll down the front page looking for updates? Usually not that far because I've seen everything before. 5. How often do you look at the front page? About once or twice a week. 6. How often do you click on the "whatsnew" link? Never knew such a thing existed, honestly. 7. What would you like to see added to the front page to make your visits to TPR better? Nothing. 8. Anything else you would like to mention? Like any thing else you would like to see us add/change/leave alone/etc? When I see a thread in the forums, sometimes about 2 weeks later I'll see that same thing pop up on the front page as something "new." I understand that the admins are busy, but maybe things can be added slightly quicker. This only happens every once and a while, though, all in all, it's run great.

Regarding the reliability of the ride, here is an interesting comment I found. This was posted as a response to an article written, releasing the name. Here is the link. I don't know how much truth there is to that comment, but it's definitely something to think about. -

I am the winner! This is so awesome! I still can't grasp the fact that I named a roller coaster! My birthday is also in July, so what a present! The reason I chose "Aftershock" was because of "Tremors." I figured they might wanted to stick with the earthquake theme and "Aftershock" is what first popped into my head. I wasn't the only one to enter it, though, but thankfully I was the first! I am really excited to ride this, as Deja Vu at SFMM was an AWESOME experience and definitely one of my favorites! Here's the link. -

Expect the name to be released very soon. The website says sometime in March, and March is almost over. I actually know what the name is, but I don't know if I'm allowed to say it or not, so I'm not going to and I'll just let Silverwood announce it. -
Superman The Escape Launch G-Force
FeelTheFORCE replied to zano's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah Wes, same here. I thought Xcelerator was noticeably more intense and crazier than TTD because if the substantially short launch track. You can just feel TTD start to coast and stop accelerating around 65%-75% of the way through the launch because it's already reached 120 MPH. -
Opinion: Indoor Park...Outdoor Coaster
FeelTheFORCE replied to Looty's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
To go outside, wouldn't there have to be some sort of hole in the building? What happens when it gets cold in the winter and cold air is coming through the hole? It wouldn't happen unless there was some way to seal that off during the winter months. -

I live in Pittsburgh and my parents have always talked about this park. Great to finally see pictures of it! -

Believe it or not, Xcelerator's launch is, in fact, slightly more intense than TTD's. -
The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread

This thing looks like it's going to be massive, especially if they are starting construction this early. I can't wait to ride it at night. -

Great pics! Dominator looks great! It's going to take some getting used to, though, not seeing that lake right next to it, though. -
Photo's of Magnum XL-200 Collision
FeelTheFORCE replied to Loopy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, same here. I've ridden Magnum when it was pouring, Corkscrew when it was pouring, CCMR when it was pouring, and Iron Dragon when it was pouring (all Arrow coasters) with no problems whatsoever on any of them (except, of course, the usual pelting rain drops). They've always shut down TTD in the slightest drizzle, but I've seen it test with no problem in pretty substantial rain. The only shutdown that's happened to me where I understood and wasn't surprised that they shut it down was on MF a few years back. You could just see the dark clouds out on the lake, getting closer and closer and the flashes of light coming from them. Now I understand shutting them down because of wind or lightning, but most of these rides can run in the rain just fine. -

Is that a B&M roar I hear? Finally a new B&M that doesn't have it's supports filled with sand! -
If you owned your home park (s)...
FeelTheFORCE replied to Tanks4me05's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If I owned Kennywood I would add that long overdue B&M coaster. Doesn't matter what type of B&M (floorless, invert, hyper, etc.) just as long as it's a B&M. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
FeelTheFORCE replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow I'm really glad I rode backwards last year for my first and last time. I really enjoyed it more than forwards! I am definitely going to miss it when I go to KI this year and there are two forwards running. -

FeelTheFORCE replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Aero 360 at Kennywood is my favorite.
