  1. When I rode Silver Bullet in summer of 06, they stopped us on the lift and a girl walked up and asked my mom to remove her fanny pack, yet no one said anything on Xcelerator.
  2. I am so glad I got a chance to ride this before the change. Looks as if I'll have to get back out there again soon.
  3. I went to SFMM last summer (summer 2006) and I've wanted to go back ever since. I also can't wait to go to GADV next summer (summer 2008).
  4. Don't buy an Elite, they ahve the same problems as the launch 360s. You're likely to get the red lights. Buy either the Halo 3 edition for the falcon chipset, or a newer premium for new heatsinks.
  5. I'm glad they aren't changing the name. The least they could do is repaint it, though.
  6. They age fairly well, in my opinion. The oldest GCI, Wildcat at HP isn't a bad coaster at all. Now it just got new trains, but still.
  7. I would have to say X. Nothing beats the first drop, in my opinion. But 2nd to X is Magnum.
  8. I never thought of a floorless woodie. That would be a great idea if done right. The only thing I would be worried about is the way woodies age.
  9. Thanks for the great comments! My posted work hasn't really been that great, in my opinion, except for one other coaster because I was still in the learning process, and I still am now, it's just that I have gotten better. I like this one, Spartan, a GCI woodie. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37309&highlight=spartan
  10. Probably Cedar Point in early May 2008.
  11. More pics as requested. Once again, if you are going to download, PLEASE COMMENT! It doesn't take that long!
  12. Great job! Very smooth. I couldn't find anythoing wrong with this coaster. It was packed full of airtime also! This would be very fun!
  13. I spent a good amount of time on this coaster. Has the world's longest inversion! Stats: Height - 121 ft. Length - 2819 ft. Top Speed - 52 MPH Please comment and enjoy! EF2.nltrack P-51 Mustang. Eurofighter.
  14. For some reason I got that feeling on Ghostrider at KBF. I think it was because of the roof.
  15. I don't know, maybe because I've been there so many times, I've "burned it out". Phantom and Jackrabbit are too short for having to wait so long. Half of their flat rides are for kids, seriously. The Disk-O is probably the most boring and pointless flat ride I have ever been on, besides those in kiddieland. Kangaroo gets old after a while. I have never ridden a Top Spin so I can't comment on that. The only flat rides worth it at KW, in my opinion, are SwingShot and Aero 360. By the way, Kennywood doesn't have a caterpillar, that would be at Idlewild. Kennywood has gotten really boring lately because they aren't adding anything, and, like I said, you could get everything done there with hours and hours to spare and be bored out of your mind.
  16. No doubt either Drop Zone at KI or Big Shot on top of the Stratosphere because of it's placement.
  17. Don't most Intamin rockets, hypers, giga, terra, pretty much any coaster with the modern Intamin track style...have stadium seating? EDIT: ^Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Although, I'm not sure if Maverick does, or coaster with that train design.
  18. As I was saying from the beginning, the 11 means that it's their 11th coaster, and that's it. It has nothing to do with inversions, elements, airtime hills, etc. You people read into those things WAY too much.
  19. ^^ No, I doubt it. Howler was new at Idlewild for 2007 I believe. I just find it weird that they are going to name it the same thing.
  20. Yeah, back at Lightning Racer ans Wildcat, the lines were always very short. It was always just Storm Runner and Great Bear that had long lines. Maybe the placement of this will spread out people a bit.
  21. OMG, yes. Have you walked through the toy dept of your local Target, been to a Toys R Us lately, or seen any of those "specialty stores" in the mall? Thomas is EVERYWHERE. And probably the most important thing is that it's regocnized internationally. Not that I think Six Flags parks gets a lot of international visitors, but it DOES help. I mean, even at Fuji-Q in Japan the Thomas area is HUGE and always filled with kids. --Robb "I'm sure these areas will go over VERY well." Alvey Is there even a TV show like there used to be? Or is there just merchandise now? I remember watching Thomas when I was in preschool on a show that took place in a train station. It was called "Thomas and Friends".
  22. Are you serious? Idlewild has the same exact ride...with the same exact name.
  23. I would rather have a train waiting on the brake run, than having to wait for one to come around the course. I like how CP handles Maverick, sitting there didn't bother me at all. It's not like I'm in a hurry to get somewhere anyway. I've been walking and standing all day and really enjoy the time just sitting there relaxing and resting for another period of walking.
  24. I bet CP's pissed, 2 degrees steeper than Maverick. This is going to have terrible capacity, 12 people per train, but only 3 trains. Maverick has double.
  25. Kennywood, no question. Phantom is too short. They need another steel coaster besides Phantom and Exterminator. They don't have any modern woodies, only old, rickety ones. You can easily do everything at Kennywood on a crowded day and leave moderately early because of boredom. No good dark rides. A collection of mediocre flats Besides the Potato Patch, the food is "meh".
