  1. To Intamin: Tell us about your new Impulse coaster the Fly Rider, and how it will be different with the new winged trains, the loss of the twisted towers and the new impressive support structure. Cheers// Jakob
  2. Mack has also confirmed a custom made Supersplash for this park, with two drops. Can't remember where I read it tough..
  3. Intamin has finally released the layout for their new 10-inversion coasters. It won't have a Megalite drop into a turn, but it will be a new style drop, similar to an SLC. It will also be Triangular track for the entire coaster, except between the loop and cobra roll, witch In my opinion looks a lot nicer than the 2 tube track used on almost all of the previous ones. coastersandmore.de
  4. Tivoli Garden's just announced their new for 2013 rides. The new area of the park will be on a site that was former used for the employes of the park. It will be home to an Zamperla Air Race, a junior drop tower, and a small aviator ride. There is no confirmation on the manufacturers of the two smaller rides, but they are most likely also Zamperla. The Air Race will go on a platform a few meters up in the air, similar to the Star Flyer. The area will be themed to Tycho Brahe, same as the Star Flyer in the park. More info, pictures and a Youtube video can be found here: Tivoli's Homepage
  5. 1. Piraten 2. Expedition Geforce (new) 3. Colossos (new) 4. Insane 5. Balder 6. Speed Monster 7. Stealth 8. Black Mamba (new) 9. Blue Fire (new) 10. Krake (new)
  6. 1. Riding Insane 34 times in a day, best day at Grönan ever! 2. Riding Expedition Geforce for an entire day again and again. 3. Front row on Krake in the sunset, last ride of the day. I loved that coaster! 4. Mystery Castle, Phantasialand (and pretty much the rest of the park as well) 5. Skyline Park outside of München, they had a pretty big Funtime Sling Shot, that was included in the ticket, so we could ride it as many times as we wanted, since the park was almost empty. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now for my worst experience this year: Huracan and Belantis! Nothing else even came close to this one.
  7. There is going to be 2 cars in the train, similar to the Skyloops. The wagons are 2x4.
  8. Think of it as thrilling for the whole family, but with a few more thrilling things like Blue fire and Silver Star.
  9. You don't measure the size of a park in the actual size of it, or their rides, you measure it in their attendance numbers. They attract around 1 million visitors every year, so they defiantly don't count as a small park.
  10. Allmost all rumors says that the big coaster has been pushed back to 2014. There are some rumors tough that the park might Add a Zamperla Giant Discovery fot the next sesason. I however don't believe that rumor tough.
  11. I'm starting to think so as well. After watching a lot of pictures of Jet rescue it's the only one that makes sense. Both these long rows of footers look's just like the ones for tire launches. Here you can watch just how many supports those the tire launches uses (it's a support between every 2 wheels): Jet Rescue Jet Rescue Jet Rescue Jet Rescue Would be interesting to see how they would theme it, if that's indeed what it is, as I doubt it would be with motorbikes. This new coaster will be part of the park's expansion of it's Mexico Land.
  12. No doubt it was Expedition Geforce.
  13. I'd say Blue Fire is the most enjoyable of the ones I've been on, but there are a lot more awesome one's out there. Speed Monster and Stealth are personal favorite's.
  14. The small twisted hills on Piraten are just insane. This drop in the back is pure airtime evil!
  15. Everything in Phantasialand!
  16. The ride is pretty strongly rumored to be mulit-launched and feature inversions. I'm putting my money on Skyrush trains being the "new in Europe" part of this one. It would make perfect sense for the park's audience to offer regular seating, but still be able to offer winged seats for those looking for a bigger thrill.
  17. Yeah, it was no real secret, but it's always nice to know for sure!
  18. Gerstlauer has now confirmed that they are the supplier of the SW7 ride.
  19. We will get more clues on Facebook tomorrow, so until then, Aqua-Trax of doom!
  20. The ride has been changed! It will now drop out of the station right in to a right side corkscrew. That will jump up the number of inversions to 7
  21. Well The trains Will either be beefed up a lot or the lift will be slowed. The ride has been running a lot faster than anticipated stress wise. After all the trains weigh in at 16 tons each.
  22. I just read an interesting German article with Andreas Wild, the head of the Werner Stengel firm. On the question of their most challenging project he, to my surprise, answered Colossos in Heide park. It was new technique, some patents involved, a huge volume of wood that needed to be calculated for and a time limit that would suit a regular coaster, and not the huge monster that is Colossos. There was over 1000 different blueprints for the ride before construction could start. Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share it.
