Could very well be, but the ride is rumored to have inversions, so well see. Found this from Coaster Club Denmark: Rumors says it will be 1km long, two launches, the first to 70-75km/h and the other to 85km/h, and the ride won't be much higher than 12 meters (40feet).

After some looking at the pictures of footers the two launches will most likely be parallel with each other.

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. So we had a vote after looking into both ships. I voted for Allure and my girl voted for Epic, so then of course were going to go with Epic... Somewheere between the 5th and the 20th. Would not say that were big drinkers, we usually don't drink at the meals, more like enjoying a beer on a nice bar in the evening. I was planing on flying to Fort Lauderdale, but It might as well be Miami as well, It's no big difference on the cost of the flight from here, it more depends on the port of the ship. I will defiantly book transfer from the airport to the ship. We will be doing the cruise only, as we both start to work the winter season on Dec 1st. Eastern would be the preferable one. But I'm defiantly open minded if people here have had better experience's on the eastern side. I need a tip for Ship choice! My girl and I are planning or first ever Caribbean cruise now for November. Can anyone bring some light to the choice of ship? My thoughts are: Oasis or Allure of the Seas Freedom of the Seas Norwegian Epic Carnival Dream I kinda wanna throw the Disney cruise ships in there to, but I'm kinda feeling that a couple in our age has nothing to do on those. Were just looking for a nice ship with lots of things to do on board. Since were booking all inclusive for the food, I would also like to know who has the better options for this. Any tips is greatly appreciated!

The ride has been closed since 2009, and the park has said that they will replace it.

You can't really "upgrade" the 8-seater Eurofighter cars, since the new one's have regular lap bars. You have to swap out the whole top part of the train, keeping just the chassis, making it a bit expensive. The 6-seater trains is upgradeable-friendly because then you just have to change the restraint's itself, sine they both connect to the train in a similar way. (They would gladly do it on both models, just that it would be a lot more expensive on the 8-seater). Can't remember where I read it, but it was said by Adam from Gerstlauer in an interview.

Given what they have done with their last two coasters I have 100% faith in this park's next one!

If they have started testing the ride again, that is certainly good news! Then it's probably not anything that bad that happened.

One more of the three 10-inversion coasters have been confirmed now for China. (if rcdb count as confirmation, I leave to somebody else to decide) RCDB Another one is going to Hopi Hari, and one more is coming. Intamin said they were all going on different continents, and the last one is rumored for Europe, in a park in Italy.

Are you saying the park is no longer targeted to families with younger kids? That is the primary target audience of the park and why I feel it is inappropriate. I agree it would serve the teenagers and I guess if there is minimal cost involved it could be moved, but I still don't think it fits. You are correct that the park are for families, but there are also a lot of teenagers going with their families. Also remember that you are not that old when you hit 140cm, and there are a lot of children who goes on thrill rides, with their older siblings, there parents and also alone, so I feel that all family parks should provide one thrill ride, so everyone can be happy. I rode Extreme for the first time when I was 12, and I would have gone 1-2 year earlier if I was not such a slow grower. Will the ride end up at Skara? I really doubt it, but I would defiantly be glad if it did, since the park has had no real thrill ride since the hot dog ride was removed, and that ride is strongly missed if you read there Facebook.

I wouldn't necessary say that, they do get a lot of teenagers in the park. Plus they could always reprogram it to be a bit less thrilling. I remember when the old "hot dog" ride they had back in the 90's and early 2000's. Here it is now, without the hot dog theming. This was a very loved ride in Skara, that was very popular both by the older kids and teenagers, but also by the parent's who challenged each other to go on it. The ride is missed a lot today and they never really replaced it with another thrilling ride, so there could absolutely be a market for Extreme there.

That's a pretty cool idea, Skara Sommarland could certainly use a real thrill ride, and it wouldn't be too expensive for them as well, since it's already in the chain. (Skara has been showing red numbers the last few years).

Cancelled. They are now working on an indoor year round attraction for the parking lot. The Star Flyer will be higher than the other two towers, if they keep it like the one proposed a few years ago. We need to remember that it's a 15 year old ride. In a park like Gröna Lund, something has to go to get something new. It's time had just come.

I can also see that Mack will become a big player in the next 5-10 years, but what I thought was dumb about that comment was this part:

Defiantly! Let's not forget that Blue Fire cost a whopping €20 millions to build. Sure it has 5 trains and some theming, but they are generally a premium manufacturer that you have to pay for.
