  1. I was there thursday i think it was. Very nice park, but the crowd was just HUGE! From 13 to 21 I only managed to get 3 rides on piraten and 1 on the new water coaster. I think we waited over an hour for Thor's hammer. The park definitely need some more major high capacity rides. So what did he say about future rides??
  2. Well, I asked Vekoma, and this is what they answered: "Hi Jakob, Thank you for your email and your interest in Vekoma Rides Manufacturing B.V. Our Giant Inverted Boomerang in Jin Jiang Action Park will have more or less the same train as the Déjà Vu Coaster in Six Flags Magic Mountain (Valencia, California). As you can understand this type of train has undergone some improvements though the train will be equal to the one as mentioned above. I trust for your understanding and wish you loads of coaster-fun." So no, it will have the same old train as the other, with some minor improvements (wich I hope is new restraints, but I seriously doubt it).
  3. That would be seriously ass kicking! Let's hope for it, and also for the new restraints
  4. Any update on this one yet? I really wanna se some pics of the final product, and even more find out if it has the new style of trains found on Battlestar
  5. IMO the first thing cedar point should do is to remake Mean Streak. After seing what tey did to TG there is just so freaking much potential, they could also use Intamin trains, and you would have a coaster out of this world compared to MS. After that i feel that they should go for something new for the entire family in terms of a new coaster. Kinda what Bush is going for right now. Maybe a dueling motocoaster or something similar.
  6. In France, can't remember the name of the park, the car of a Fabbri Booster just loosened at the top of 40m, at full speed of 90 km/h. Two persons were killed, and the other two were paralyzed. Edit: Fête des Loges is the tivoli's name.
  7. Dude, the new coaster's theming looks awsome! Just hope they will go with grass beneath it, to cover up all that steel frame.
  8. B&M would never make something that is 300ft tall.. My vote would go on the biggest wing rider in the world.
  9. Well, the removal of this one was no suprise, but the money lost on this attraction was a pretty big shock!
  10. The theme park "Karolinelund" (previous Tivoliland) in Aalborg, Denmark closed after the 2010 season, and it will not be reopened again. The park had a Moser drop tower around 55 meters high. I bet my ass virginity that this is the tower comming to your park. It's an older model with Intamin giant drop style wagons of 4. Here are some pics: And a video here: http://www.99model.com/videos/yt-50vnA2TyuAw
  11. An Intamin wooden would seem logical, since they just got rid of their wooden coaster. But to be honest I think that they are going for a Zacspin coaster. There is a 50m version of it at Intamin's website, looks pretty rad.
  12. No, they won't let you ride alone, it can create a very uncomfortable ride. Same rule as on Insane.
  13. Wind really has nothing to do wit this problem, it's just uneven loading that get the arms out of balance, and they don't have such a big swinging distance.
  14. Yes, but what on slow days, when it will take some time to fill the whole ride? Should the put water dummies in some of the seats? I think that they need to remove some arms of it, if they want to bring the ride to it's full potential.
  15. I know, just dreaming here Still it would be time for a new coaster over there!
  16. For those who still cares about this, I wanted to bump the thread and give you all an update! This project got approved by the city, and everything was ready to be built. But as you all might know, the locals next to the park is not the approving sort, and big protests have been made by them, and also a lot of people not living near the park, but who think the island of Djurgården (where the park is located) should not be a big theme park. Thanks to all these protests nobody dares to do anything, and it's just an evil circle of nothappening. The park is said to be working really hard to resolve all the issues, but there's pretty uch nothing more they can do. Everything with noise levels and such thing has allready been taken into account, and all possibilitys have been explored. I fore one would have loved to se this expansion become reality, but it's just not very likley in the next few years. The Star Flyer they could still build tough, as it would be possible to make it fit into the already existing park. I would really like the Star Flyer to be placed out onto the water, similar to the already existing chair swing, but on the other side of Insane compared to the cair swing. Earliest build start for the proposed project would be 2013, and opening 2015, but not in this pace.
  17. Something like this would be perfect for Liseberg's next coaster!
  18. Isn't Knott's placed in an area where people are living pretty close to the park? I mean in Sweden you would NEVER get permission to build something like this so close to where people are living
  19. This is what happens when you get greedy. Mondial designed the Windseeker to use 25 swings, but CF insisted on adding another 7 to boost capacity, and this is what they get for it. There is a reason the original Star Flyers only comes with 12 swings!
