  1. Yes, there is a reason why they are using the old track style, and I would like to know it. Morgan developed the new track for Steel Dragon 2000 that is superior to the old design, and the original Chance Hyperlite was shown with that track, and then they are building this with the old track style. For a company that has not built a ride in so long you would think they would bring out some new technology given the chance. It dosen't really matter if they have improved their skills at shaping the track, the outside design is still superior when designing wheel bogies. It maters as it will make a difference in the ride experience when the ride is aging. Inside wheel steel track is outdated, and outside wheel track is far superior. And look at how good all the Arrow rides are tracking? Sure they didn't have spring loaded wheel assembly's but still. Steel Dragon is still running with the Chance train, B&M just built the body, most likely because the park was seeking a more open design. Vekoma don't build the old track style anymore, unless someone buys an standard SLC, Boomerang or Mine Train, but I would suspect that they are also moving away from the old track style in their future Mine Train coasters. Chance also have the right to the Steel Dragon track. The clearance is not a reason for choosing the old track.
  2. Here's an interesting article about the situation for the park, and what it will take to keep it alive. They seem to have a really competent man in charge of the park.
  3. ^ I find that hilarious!
  4. Ah darn, that is disappointing! I got so excited with the thought of another tower launcher, layout done properly this time as well. Oh well, still looks to be an awesome coaster.
  5. Yeah that is most definitely a Zierer tower launch in the rendering, the question is if that is the final coaster they will be getting, or just a tease of different concepts they are just throwing out there. I would be so extremely happy if it would turn out to be a tower launcher, as I have always been interested in the Wicked concept, (but not it's layout) and wanted to see it with a more Eurofighter layout.
  6. The last two games before semi finals are played right now. Looks like what you are hoping for (Canada getting eliminated) is not to far of at all. The US is in a 4-1 lead against Czech so far, but Canada seems to struggle against Latvia with only 1-1 right now. I know we (Sweden) struggled real hard against them as well, so they should not be taken lightly in any way. (But let's face it, Canada always sees themselves as favorites for the win).
  7. Let's not forget this sucker!
  8. New picture shows that the ride is going in the middle of the water park, right next to the mat racer slide. I'm really hoping for a rocket here, but it will probably be something less expensive. Source
  9. Completely agree! It's such a shame that there are so many different and awesome mat racers now, but parks usually only install one type.
  10. Yes, of course! How about this one? It's a bit sloppy, but it's still pretty easy.
  11. This seems very interesting, can't wait for my first visit to this park! (Hopefully the new coaster will have arrived by then also).
  12. I prefer the Giant Drop's like Fritt Fall, Hurakan condor, Apocalypse etc.. They feel more intense than the Ring/Gyro Drops, and you can have different rides experience on the same tower.
  13. I still can't understand why they would use the old track style. They have a new better track that they have used perviously, the original hyperlite concept showed that track. This type of track was outdated in the early 2000's, and for a company that have not built any coasters lately you would think that they would bring out the new technology when they are given a chance.
  14. Yeah, keep dreaming!
  15. ^^ That's a shame, I really like the colors on the Knott's one. Oh well, I can totally understand that they want it the same as the others.
  16. Here's an awesome rendering of Falcon's fury! Source
  17. Is that the one who is built in the old fly hangar?
  18. Is it the Maurer spinning coaster at Linnanmäki?
  19. That looks like one of the coolest water rides in the world. I love Atlantica in Europa Park, so I have no doubt I would enjoy this one to.
  20. Yeah I also noticed the launches will be very lame back when I heard they will only pull 1g. That is even less intense that the one on Blue Fire. Should still be an awesome ride though.
  21. Looks totally awesome! It's almost the same. This one have a real foundation though, and also the structure of the first tower is in a square, and not a triangle like to one in California.
  22. Looks like the water park will get another kick ass slide in 2014. It looks to be a 6 lane version of the one who opened at Wet'n'Wild Sydney a while ago. It will be from Whitewater, and the one in Sydney have been gotten som cool reviews. Source
