  1. Sad about the Schwarzkopf, but oh well, that's how it is. I can imagine that the popularity of the ride has declined the last years. A Zamperla Giant Discovery would fit the footprint very well if you ask me Interesting to hear about the new ride for 2018, hopefully it won't be delayed for two years like Alpina Blitz. When the owners of the park was in Denmark and rode Piraten they also visited Fårup and rode Lynet. A medium sized launcher would be the right addition if you ask me. The park have good relations with both Gerstlauer and Mack, but if it was my chose I would chose Mack. You can actually see the video of the owners of the park riding Piraten Here. Sure it's all in French, but I think it's just amazing to see how they are all blown away by the ride. It's also pretty funny, because you can also see him on the phone with his brothers afterwards, and he's pretty much saying that he should open the checbok. Some people also call this hill under the lift a Stengel dive, which is bullcrap. Source
  2. The park now have a Facebook page here. Here is the official signing with Polin. No idea when it happened though. And some more wave pool shots.
  3. That family slide looks really cool. Hopefully it will get a conveyor belt, to save the back of the guests.
  4. That is awesome news! I have heard that the Dragon tower is a lot better than Mach Tower, both in ride experience and maintenance. It's so cool also, because I'm planning a three day trip to Helsinki this spring, to visit the park. The biggest question though is Viking Line or Silja Line? Probably Silja!
  5. Awesome! To bad about the racer, I can only imagine how bummed you must feel.
  6. This is how big wave pools are born! Source
  7. ^ Looks awesome! A lot more footage in this video.
  8. This is how the kids area will turn out. 4 slides, with one being a 4 lane mini racer, as well as two small tipping buckets, an actual pool for the small ones (unlike wet'n'wild) and also spray feautures. Not really sure how it will look once done, but I have a feeling it will be many times better than the toddler pool at Wet'n'Wild which is pretty much only this: Source Source
  9. Is there a phase two planned for this park? It seems incredible busy, and while it obviously have very high interest because it's new, I have a feeling that the popularity for this park won't die anytime soon. It looks like Chinese sea world.
  10. Looks very nice, hopefully they will do a nice job with the theming as well.
  11. That looks awesome! Can't wait tip the day when the POV comes out. (yeah, I will probably not ride this within the next 10 years or so, so I have to settle with the POV).
  12. Mack is a very high quality ride designer, and the price is not why this ride is not from Intamin. Alright, let's not get too carried away now..
  13. Phatnasialand is above everything else I have experienced.
  14. Some more pictures. Really like the look of this. Looks like the big hills are bigger than on the real megalite, which should mean a little bit tamer airtime. I wonder if the trains are on site or not. If so then we should see some testing soon, they just have to pour the footers. Source Source
  15. The Lewa Happy World park. The ride will be 60 meters tall with the worlds tallest inversion (vertical loop) standing 50 meters tall. It's in this German article and Mack shared the link on their official Facebook page so I think it's actually true.
  16. That's not possible, as the launch track would not be long enough if you lowered the acceleration rate. On of the best, or the best? (I'm wondering because one of the best dosen't say much when speaking of flyers, since there are so few of them). Something I have been thinking about would be a mine train from Mack (with GREAT theming of rock and mines) with spinning vehicles and multiple lifts (think Vekoma mine trains, but with spinning cars). Not single cars like most spinning coasters, but more like Mack's spinning rides with full trains. They should still be fully themed to mine cars. It would also be really cool to see Intamin try and build what I wrote above, and also incorporate the free fall like thirteen. Would seem very well fitting to have a blast inside a mine mountain and then fall down, add to this multiple lifts as well as spinning trains.
  17. No, these vehicles are still free spinning. The magnets only encourage a flip. The most painful experience you can have on Zacspins usually occurs when they go down a level, and this ride will most likely be able to produce the same uncomfortable moments if you are unlucky. The retrains do look really comfy andI can't wait for the day to when I get to try one out. Insane is one of my absolute favorite rides, but it would not be impossible for me to like this ride more, from what I have seen so far. What I wonder about this ride is 1. when someone will buy one? and 2. How long before Intamin will incorporate magnetic flips in their Zacspins?
  18. This one looks really interesting so far, can't wait to see more!
  19. What a really good photo report! I really like the look of this new area, and I can't wait to see the final result once everything is finnished.
  20. I actually like these new trains, they look so much more open for the rows behind the first one, and I have yet to hate these restraints. But I do think B&M missed out on not going to lap bars only, like the rest of the industry, when developing a new train.
  21. If they did something original with their rumored giga coaster, for an example a floorless ride with inversions I would actually approve of a B&M for the park. A giga dive machine I could also find interesting. If it's just something similar to Leviathan, then I much rather see some other manufacturer build it. 2015 will actually be very interesting as both Mack and Gerstlauer will be entering the hyper market, Mack even with an inversion coaster with the worlds tallest loop.
  22. Yup, the brothers owning the park was extremely impressed by Piraten, but wanted Mack to build it instead.
  23. Dear title fairy, I know that you are busy handing out bad-ass titles, but I think it's my turn to receive one now. Champagne is one of my absolute biggest interest besides coasters, so i would like my title to be changed to "I'll prefer my donkeys served with Champagne" or something equal. My only wish is that the phrase contains the word Champagne. The rest is up to you. Best of luck to give me an awesome title.
  24. The entrance will look awesome once done! Source I didn't care for water parks either a few years ago. Now it's probably bigger than my coaster interests, and I dream of opening something similar to the first Cowabunga Bay at some point in my life. Give it a chance, and you will love it!
