Is that the giant bacon strip float? Because that's honestly the most accurate way to honor America.2 points

As someone who has their first visit out to the park in summer 2023, I'm happy that Roger Rabbit will remain at the park.2 points

Had an odd “entrance experience” as well. Just sort of walk down a concrete block hallway and up some steps. I feel like it was because it was reusing an old restaurant space and they had to figure out a way to “route” traffic. Would be cool if it even started with something like “Heart Song” and return that theatre to more of a performance show, or I’ve always felt make a permanent “Imagination Library” show either live like they do in the summer, or Dolly taped in the slow season. Maybe “holoDolly” reads stories to the kids as the “library come to life” with hidden screens or projection mapping to bring the characters she is reading about to life.1 point

Hi I'm looking to go to WOF on a weekday in June. We're from Chicago and have never been. Two quick questions: Is it possible to do both WOF and OOF in one day? Would you need Fastlane for this? We're looking at parking in the OOF lot, doing OOF in the morning and then WOF in the afternoon/evening. Will I still be able to walk through OOF to get back to my car, even if the rides at OOF have stopped operating? Thanks!1 point

Red Force at Ferrari Land would like a 110mph word with you. Superman at Magic Mountain would like a 100mph, 25-year-old word with you, as would Tower Of Terror in Australia.1 point

Really wish they'd had signs or audio announcements for those of us who didn't see it on the app. Literally everyone headed that way, and the team member at the front of the line would have to announce over and over that the ride would not open til 9am. TELL people this while they are getting their passes or hotel keys looked at so we don't waste time.1 point

Damn, dude - I never realized you worked for Intamin. You been holding out on us this whole time?1 point

This is pretty cool. For a park that generally does large additions fairly often and just opened a giant B&M hyper less than two years ago with a huge expen$ive front entrance renovation (that yes took away all the charm the old entrance had, but that's not my point) I'm not sure why anyone would have been expecting anything earth shattering at Hershey for 2022. The old paint job made Sidewinder one of the ugliest coasters in the park, so all this color will certainly liven up that pocket of the park and at least this boomerang already has the better trains w/ the vests, so this is an all around sweet upgrade imo. Fingers still and forever crossed the next big coaster they are getting is RMC Wildcat.1 point

I really love Premier's coasters, they are always forceful and unique and fun, but their modern trains are just ass. With or without the comfort collars. If it was a 2" bump or something then fine, but jumping up 6" immediately after touting the ride as a family coaster is just unfortunate. I would be very upset too.1 point

When this accident happened, Kingda Ka never even closed (seriously… not even for a day). It doesn’t appear to be something that they’re concerned about on that ride.1 point

I swear to god did everyone's brains collectively turn off with this announcement? Dragster already frequently ran only 4 or 5 trains (there are 6) with no impact on throughput. It's never going to be an upcharge; it still processes almost 1,000 people per hour, which is just slightly behind Steel Vengeance, Maverick and not that far behind Millie. Are those going to become an upcharge attractions too? Why not just upcharge for everything in the park and don't charge an admission fee?1 point

From a reliable source Marineland has been sold and will open for 2022. Dragon Mountain will open as parts for it have been ordered. The sale will be announced later this year and the park's future is bright with a lot of investment over the next few years. Name change will also be coming in the near future.1 point

Doing a 2022 Season Update on this: (Prices 2001, 2005, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, 2021, 2022 via Wayback Machine); Inflation is $1 in 2001 = $1.59 today. Phoenix: $1.50 $2, $2, $2.50, $3, $3, $3.50, $4 Flyers: $0.80, $1, $1.20, $1.50, $1.75, $2.50, $2.50, $3 Carousel: $0.70 $0.80 $0.90, $1, $1.50, $1.75, $2, $2.50 Red Baron: $0.60, $0.70 $0.80, $1, $1.25, $1.50, $1.75, $2 Adult Wristband w/ Coasters: (not available), $31, $37, $39.50, $47, $50, $53, not available for 2022 Other notes- Black Diamond is $3.50, Phoenix, Twister, Impulse - $4, Flying Turns - Not listed. Haunted Mansion increased from $2.50 to $3. All flats are $2.50-3 now, Ferris Wheel = $3.50, Skyway = $5 Kiddie rides are $2 (Kozmo's Kurves = $3.00) Campground rates went up from like $56/58 to $62/66 as well which seems pretty steep. Prices increased again and really quite dramatically. Across the board, ride ticket prices increased 50 cents. This is like 15-25% increase on everything in one year. If you are a family of four and you ride with tickets for a day and rode 15 rides each, that is $30 more than last year. It seems like they're pretty clearly trying to push people toward wristbands more and more. Which sucks. I know labor and other costs are up, but these hikes seem more dramatic than warranted at face value. If they rose wristband prices from $50-60 in one year and added nothing, would that seem steep? I think so.1 point

Anything is possible in regards to making another SW:GE connection, but I seriously doubt that is going to happen with this Toon Town refresh. Look at the backstage infrastructure in the way, that was JUST built with SW:GE, and the distance that connection would have to be. It does not make sense to modify those buildings, block a backstage road during park hours, and waste prime expansion space on a single walkway. They could have made a connection, going through the new train berm, and avoiding the buildings, but again, that would have been done when that berm was made. And it's unlikely to be modified at this point (though I do think this would have been the best use of space option). I feel the only real way a connection would ever be made is with a SW:GE expansion into that area. With this new walkway built into the new structures. At that point, the backstage road could be trenched farther north, and an elevated walkway connection over it could be made.1 point

Cinderella (#71) has a lot more power (25,200 lbs traction force) than Katie (16,000 lbs). But Katie dates back to Rebel Railroad. Herschend brought in #71 (and #70 at SDC), but she wasn't restored to operation until '87. Katie often has trouble, especially with full cars. And they engineer probably just misjudged things. The ride was better before WWG and the removal of ole Rebel Rail Road buildings in the upper loop. I never saw much wildlife though. FWIW, WE is my daughter's favorite coaster while LR is mine. I haven't seen all the trees cut, but I heard a lot were for safety, adding clearance around the coasters. TT is great, probably my #2. The fake drop at the top then the real drop into the hill. Always catches new people off guard. Just as they start complaining about the fake you hit the real drop.1 point
