Canobie Coaster
As a fan of the Lego Movie, I fully support the park building a land themed to it.
SharkTums
So obviously the splash battle is a retheme, were there any other rides/attractions/food/shopping in this land (Chima I think?) or are the other additions actually new?
Canobie Coaster
The only other thing I remember in that area was a gift shop.
Hilltopper39
There was a small gift shop and some restrooms back by the attraction exit in some kind of bazaar set up, then I believe there was a small splash pad near the entrance with a lego station of some sort. Also, with every hotel reservation, guests will enjoy a free family-style breakfast for ye’ entire crew. Known as the theme park built for kids, LEGOLAND Florida’s Pirate Island Hotel will provide even more incentive to stay and play on multiple-day visits with an array of LEGO character interactions, a heated pool and a pirate ship in front of the hotel for photo opportunities. Inside the rooms, kids can fully experience the LEGO pirate life as they explore their separate side of the room complete with their own TV, daily in-room LEGO treasure chests, LEGO pirate décor, treasure map headboards and boat-shaped bunkbeds in the suites among many more surprises. “Pirate Island Hotel will offer a completely unique guest experience for swashbucklers of all ages,” said LEGOLAND Florida Resort Hotels Director Kevin Carr. “Pirates have a long history tied to the state of Florida and we look forward to providing memorable experiences to our future guests with an entertaining, memorable and fun hotel. With an overabundance of options to choose from, LEGOLAND fans spoke loud and clear that LEGO Pirate was the preferred choice. “Due to the success of our existing accommodations, we realized a third hotel was needed to keep up with our high consumer demand. Veteran guests and excited newcomers alike shared their opinions and LEGO Pirate was the overwhelming favorite,” said Carr. Pirate Island will be a key addition to LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s continued park expansion, which also includes THE LEGO® MOVIE™ WORLD opening in spring 2019 and a new miniature golf course for hotel guests opening in summer 2019. grsupercity
Sorry for the dumb question but I am having trouble figuring out the fast track at Legoland. Is the 10 dollar option one ride and thats it? Is so then the 30 dollar option do I get to choose the 3 rides or is it those 3 rides already selected? Thanks in advance
Canobie Coaster
I wish Legoland Florida had the lesser Fast Track options when I was there. The only option when I went in 2017 was the unlimited band. It appears the 3 ride skip pass is only good for those 3 rides based on the description, but those are three I think you would want to skip. Outside of the Dragon Coaster, the two dark rides had the two longest waits during my visit (30-45 minutes).
jedimaster1227
THE LEGO® MOVIE™ WORLD will officially open at the LEGOLAND® Florida Resort on March 27th, 2019! Opening March 27, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is taking guests from the theater to the theme park with the launch of THE LEGO® MOVIE™ WORLD. Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, this impressive expansion features three new rides and numerous attractions, all inspired by the characters and themes of the worldwide blockbuster THE LEGO® MOVIE™ and the exciting new big-screen animated adventure sequel THE LEGO® MOVIE™ 2: The Second Part. The creative masterminds from Merlin Magic Making, the global creative and delivery division of parent company Merlin Entertainments Group, re-created Bricksburg with its lovable characters, creative eating spaces and authentic city scape where guests can experience Emmet’s Super Suite. “THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD is our largest addition to date and will provide guests around the world with the ultimate movie-to-theme park experience,” said Keith Carr, project director of Merlin Magic Making. “The park just screams fun everywhere you look; kids and families alike can interact with various characters, enjoy ride technology that’s the first of its kind and dine on tasty tacos at Taco Tuesday Everyday. Not to mention, we have a spaceship playground!” While the Park’s theming and immersion of THE LEGO MOVIE universe will captivate guests of all ages, the three brand-new rides stay true to LEGOLAND Florida’s kid-friendly experience. “The rides truly capture the whimsical fun and quirky nature of the popular LEGO movies,” said Rex Jackson, general manager of LEGOLAND Florida Resort. “The Masters of Flight ride will be iconic to our park, Unikitty’s ride sings and spins with her ever-changing emotions and the Battle of Bricksburg is themed around huge LEGO DUPLO® aliens. With great partners in Warner Bros. we’ve developed a park that will bring a lot of smiles to children and their families. We’re thrilled to be the only location for fans to experience THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD.” THE LEGO MOVIE Masters of Flight takes guests on a suspended ride aboard Emmet’s Triple Decker Couch surrounded by a full-dome virtual screen, giving the sensational feeling of flying through a world created completely from LEGO® bricks. The attraction is the first in the world at a major theme park that embeds a 180-degree turn in the ride experience. The ride animation will feature a humorous and magical adventure as guests soar through Cloud Cuckoo Land, dive to Middle Zealand and splash down on the waters of Pirate’s Cove. Unikitty’s Disco Drop takes guests through a rainbow-filled journey based on Unikitty and her many moods. Once on the ride, guests will swoop to the tiptop of Cloud Cuckoo Land, then drop, spin and bounce back down to earth, creating a thrilling and frenzied experience. At Battle of Bricksburg, the only water ride in THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD, riders are challenged to stop DUPLO aliens from invading and stealing LEGO bricks by spraying water at targets from their boats. The riders aren’t the only ones who can enjoy playing in the water, outside of the ride will be water cannons for guests to spray and help the riders save the day. THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD will also feature Taco Tuesday Everyday eatery, The Awesome Shop, filled with take-home collectables and a space-themed playground structure inspired by Benny’s spaceship which will include special photo opportunities and character interactions. Buy your tickets now and be among the first to experience THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD http://www.LEGOLAND.com/annual-pass/.
Nrthwnd
^ Yaaaay, it'll be an ARIES Themepark! Whatever the heck that'll mean, lol. I am an Aries myself, so that's why I posted it!
grsupercity
I plan on riding the 4 coasters for sure. Any other must rides. They have some interesting looking attractions
Canobie Coaster
Do not miss Ninjago. It's my favorite ride there by far. Miniland, Lost Kingdom Adventure, and (if you've never ridden one) WaveZone Racers are also worth riding.
BlahBlahson
Also make sure you do a trip through Cypress Gardens and do the Pirates Ski Show. Both are not-to-miss bits of historic Florida. And if they are playing the Lego Movie 4D on the day you go, it's hilarious and worth seeing. Finally, APPLE FRIES if you're into that sort of thing. Lakuma
In the restored Cypress Gardens there is a Banyan tree that was planted as a seedling in a five-gallon bucket in 1939 by the original Cypress Garden's owner. It's massive and often missed by most guests at the park, it's definitely a must-see!
Chiselphane
Thoughts on post-Christmas yet pre-New Year's (or even a few days past New Year's) crowd levels? I may be visiting parents in Tampa after Christmas and am looking at options; I know its a super busy time of year for FL parks in general but looking into non Disney/Universal for maybe something less mobbed. jedimaster1227
This weekend Theme Park Review was invited to visit Legoland Florida to participate in LEGO Ninjago Days, a new themed event offered on January 25th - 26th, February 1st - 2nd and February 8th - 9th, 2020. Inspired by the hit LEGO sets that have spawned a TV series, mini movies, a feature length film in theaters and a land in the Legoland parks (including this one), the popular franchise fills the park with activities, character experiences, unique entertainment and specialty food offerings to plus an already great family day at Legoland Florida. Legoland Florida is a well spread out park with a large number of family-friendly, interactive attractions for everyone to enjoy. The classic charm of Cypress Gardens is retained in its original format and can still be accessed at no additional cost with standard admission from inside of the park. LEGO Ninjago Days is another great excuse to come out and visit this park. Guests, especially those with younger families will find a lot to enjoy during the event! We’re Legoland Florida today to experience LEGO Ninjago Days! Construction of the Legoland Pirate Island Hotel continues adjacent to the original Legoland Hotel. Special guide maps are available for the event. Master Wu's Dojo is home to a small grab and go food counter and a meet and greet with Master Wu himself. Candy sushi! Love it! One of several activity stations setup through the park during LEGO Ninjago Days, where you can help to assemble a large-scale LEGO Ninjago character using LEGO bricks. Digital signage has been installed throughout the park to direct guests to the latest shows and advise of current wait times. Naturally LEGO Ninjago World was our first stop of the day. What better way to start our LEGO Ninjago Days visit to Legoland Florida than with a stop at LEGO Ninjago The Ride! This shooting dark ride uses hand gestures to generate energy blasts onscreen, which is a nice twist from the classic laser/light gun setup. LEGO Ninjago The Ride is a fun family dark ride with a unique shooting dark ride system! Time for a ride on Coastersaurus! The Great LEGO Race still offers VR experiences for those interested. Having just been in New York City a week earlier, this was fun to see. You may see ninjas roaming Miniland during LEGO Ninjago Days Guests can meet Lloyd and see the “LEGO Ninjago - Master of the 4th Dimension” film at the Fun Town 4D Theater! LEGO Movie World is an extremely popular corner of the park. It replaced the former land, The World of Chima, integrating its splash battle attraction and adding several new offerings... The LEGO Movie: Masters of Flight is a unique take on the Flying Theater style attraction... And a clever use of the Triple Decker Couch. The Battle of Bricksburg attraction wasn't too busy thanks to it being a colder day. Enjoying a close encounter with The Dragon! There’s a LEGOLAND park exclusive LEGO set available for purchase at Legoland Florida! Not nearly as fun as a Turkey Caller! Lost Kingdom Adventure at Legoland Florida is a great shooting dark ride for families to enjoy! You can participate in a ninja-themed yoga class for kids during LEGO Ninjago Days! Time to grab some food at the new Ninja Kitchen food truck! Here's the full menu from Ninja Kitchen. Pork Egg Rolls, Pork Bao Buns, Sweet Asian Chicken Wings and Lemon Chicken Potstickers for lunch! The potstickers were our favorite of the lot! Guests can enjoy Earth Beat performances during LEGO Ninjago Days. It isn’t a day at Legoland Florida without a stop at the NFPA Rescue Academy! The beauty and charm of Cypress Gardens is maintained as a historic part of Legoland Florida for guests of all ages to experience. The LEGO touches are subtle in the storied Cypress Gardens section of the park. The Banyan Tree is a must see when roaming Cypress Gardens. Fun facts! Cypress Gardens had a long history of offering water skiing shows, so it is great to see Legoland Florida continue that tradition to this date. There are Ninjago-themed activity stations set up throughout the park to enjoy during LEGO Ninjago Days! No visit to Legoland Florida is complete without a serving of Granny’s Apple Fries! Lots of progress on this big-fig since we first arrived! We had an awesome time enjoying LEGO Ninjago Days at Legoland Florida! The event continues for the next two weekends, so be sure to come out and visit!
Nrthwnd
Interesting that the Legoland Playset has "Billund" (the original park in Denmark) on it's entrance sign. Wonder if most parents will be able to explain what that means, to their kids. Great tour of the park (and the food) during Ninjago Days. Thanks for sharing your visit, Adam. Taylor Finn
Will eventually visit this park. I am sure I'd have a great time. I actually have a free ticket via the Lego Rewards system (bought a few larger sets). Thanks for the look!
jedimaster1227
Interesting that the Legoland Playset has "Billund" (the original park in Denmark) on it's entrance sign. If you look closely on the bottom right hand corner of the box, you'll see they actually have stickers with the names of all of the current Legoland parks, so you can make the entrance sign represent whichever park you want! I thought that was a pretty clever touch.
SharkTums
^That is really cool. That 'park' lego set seems like a great idea.
Nrthwnd
^^ Hah, I was going to add to my post that they might be including stickers with the different parks' names. I didn't notice that in the corner, honestly. Till you noted it. Cool that they've included that.
Krandor
legoland targeting June 1 to reopen. Have local approval still need state approval https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1263483098831949828
KarlaKoaster
Interesting. So pre-booking encouraged not required. Masks encouraged but not required. Also 'table service will be the only source for all food and beverages' surprises me a bit. I can see why no buffets or salad bars, but no quick service or kiosks seems surprising (unless this bit is incorrect). Also I didn't realise how small Legoland was with a maximum capacity of only 12,000 people.
Canobie Coaster
I'd definitely want to book to make sure they aren't at capacity before going personally. I wonder how many people would chance showing up without one. But that's great to hear they're looking to reopen soon!
