Same here! Except I'm leaving Providence tomorrow at 5pm. I'll be wearing a black South Pole shirt that night, if you see me lemme know, are you getting express pass cosmo?

I'll be the short, muscular old guy with a mustache wearing a white seaworld cap in the line to get a drink. I'm going to buy park tickets so I can be in with the stay and screamers on 9/29 and 9/30, but prolly won't get to the park till 2-3 pm. And yep, I got express passes for both nights. Wouldn't do without them. The only thing I won't use them for is to get front row B&T, because I did that last year and you can't hear well if you're sitting too close to the speakers.

If you see me, come over and say whassup.

I'll be there opening night (tomorrow) to get plenty of photos and hopefully get scared quite a few times.

Most looking forward to Screamhouse, as the original is one of my favorites and The Caretaker is pretty awesome. the new Psyhco Scareapy is anywhere close to the original, that's bound to be an intense house (looks like the bathroom scene is returning!). Never went through the original RUN, Dungeon of Terror, PUTS, or Psycho Path houses, but their houses for this year do appear to be quite interesting. First All Night Die In was fairly boring to me, and The Director isn't anyone special...but I'm sure it will be alright.

I ended up going last night for the Worker Preview, I guess I'll share my thoughts on the houses I got to and the Bill and Ted show:

WARNING! SPOILERS!

When the park first opened they were handing away free souvenir cups, but sadly, they were one left over from last year... they said "HHN 15" on them. But it was cool nonetheless. They herded everybody down Hollywood Blvd. Towards ET. There was a huge stage set up and at about 7:30, the opening ceremony began. "Darkness" who is the holder of the ashes of the past HHN Icons introduced them one by one... first up was the Story Teller, she came out and ripped out some guys tongue. Next was The Director, who had someone in a bathtub and electrocuted them while filming it. The Caretaker was after him, who did an autopsy on a live person, pulling out organs one by one. Finally was Jack, who had someone in a huge blender and turned it on, blood everywhere! They did an awesome job with the opening. After that, Darkness said something along the lines of "Choose which one you think will be the overall winner", then they opened the ropes and everyone ran towards MIB.

The houses on this side were closed but mostly everyone was running over to the first showing of Bill and Ted. We went passed Bill and Ted and went into

Dungeon of Terror: This is where the story teller is, the house itself was pretty cool, nothing stuck out too much though... There were a lot of film crew in this one filming people and their reactions, it sort of took away from the whole experience, plus the girls behind us screaming their heads off the whole way though and pushing us, so I'm going to have to do this one again tomorrow night. I did get scared at one part as a scaractor jumped out from behind a cameraman... the cameraman followed me with his camera as I ran away.

Next we walked towards Earthquake and went into

Run: Loud hard rock music was playing outside of this one... They had a room with strobes that confused the hell out of me. Again, I didn't really remember much of this one because of drunken idiots behind us, I'll have to do this one again as well. There was a part at the end where a chainsaw guy came out of nowhere and scared me, but that was mostly it.

Screamhouse: I remembered this house from Islands of Fear and they did a great job recreating it. I got scared a few times in this one, people were hidden very well. Some drunk girl behind us ended up hitting one of the scaractors and got kicked out of the park (yay!). Though, this house is now officially dubbed "Vagina House"... only because they jump out and say "Join Us" but it sounded like "Vagina"... we were laughing the whole way though at that.

Bill and Ted: The show wasn't as good as last year... some memorable parts about this one was the "Green Screen" guy... how they said that the Universal 360 balls were actually giant missiles that Lex Luther will launch up into the air, they'll turn around and crash into Universal, making way for "Lutherversal Studios" complete with: Britney's Baby Bumper Buggies and Mel Gibsons: I got drunk, arrested, made fun of jews, and ruined my career... in 4D! Also Superman, who they made very "Super" (Gay)... "Up, up, and I'm gay!".... the show had its moments... they even made fun of Snakes on a plane... "There are mother --- snakes in this mother --- theater!... What ever happened to my career? I was a Jedi Master!". And of course, they made fun of Pirates of the Carribean 2... One of my favorite lines in the show had to be "I'm tired"... "Who do you think you are? Lindsey Lohan!?"

People Under The Stairs: By far the best house we went into. They took the hats from last years "Terror Mines" and used the same technology in this one. I got the hat so I was happy They used the hat as a strobe effect a lot, and because I had the hat, my friends and I were the ones that got scared the most. I saw my friend Ashley too, she jumped out at us and went "Ooga booga! Yay!"

the last one we did was

Psychoscarapy: This house was awesome as well, Psychoscarapy was my favorite house of all the HHNs I've been to and they did a great job bringing this one back. Everything from the entrance lobby to the TV room was perfect... and yes, for those that want to know... the bathroom is back complete with that Poo-Smell! Ha! This was my second favorite house that we went in.

The themeing near Mummy and the walkway between Mels and ET was excellent! Tons of fog and tons of street scaracters. All the scare zones were excellent... for themeing, Deadtropolis Zombie Siege takes the win... for scare factor, Harvest of The Souls wins.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to do All Nite Die-In and Psychopath and see how those are.

I was happy with this years HHN setup, but wish it was in USF and IoA as well. Maybe next year

I dont' know how many times it cycles though, I saw it once at the beginning. It may only show once. The Universal 360 has a show as well... it showed twice last night but I never got the chance to see it.

They may very well do more shows on official nights, which they should.

I too was also at the employee preview last night. I ran into some loser at the beginning of the night... (evil glare at KrakenKing) Did all the houses, but missed Bill and Ted's... I'm just going to copy and paste my quick review I wrote up last night...

!!!!!OMG SPOILER ALERTZ!!!!!!

Best to worst houses:

1. Run (I was surprised since I hated it last time)

2. All Nite Die-In

3. Screamhouse

4. Psychoscareapy (so sad)

5. Psycho Path

6. Dungeon of Terror

7. People Under the Stairs

I'm positive this will change considering this was the first day.

HOUSES

Run:

I was really surprised by Run this year. I loathed the original Run. But this year, the new storyline for the house and the theming are awesome. The first time through was awesome, but the second time we kept stopping, and I actually noticed a lack of scareactors in the house. A few complaints...there was too much hanging crap... but Universal always puts too much hanging crap in the houses every year imo. AND there was no Eddie. Eddie is my favorite Icon. and he was supposed to make a big comeback in Run... But there was no Eddie. at all.

All Nite Die-In:

Not too bad. One of the first people through. It was pretty long. You go through The Ring, Texas Chainsaw(I think), Hellraiser and Silence of the Lambs. The Ring scenes were awesome and very creepy. I wasn't a very big fan of the Silence of the Lamb part. I didn't think the movie was even that scary. Could easily become my #1 house of the year though.

Screamhouse:

Because Adam is awesome, he took us a super secret way, and we were the first people of the night to go through Screamhouse! yay. I liked it a lot. Not all that much different than the other 2 times they did Screamhouse. I don't remember the greenhouse scene though. Smelled like... a greenhouse, which was a nice little detail. There weren't enough Scareactors at all. Although they may just have not been ready yet. There were also too many Caretakers. Still pretty good.

Psychoscareapy:

I was soooo looking forward to Psychoscareapy. The original is my favorite house of all time. Unfortunately, it was pretty crappy. (and it wasn't because of the bathroom scene... haha. get it? crappy? bathroom?) No one jumped out or even attempted to be a little bit scary. and I thought Jack was supposed to have taken over? I think I saw him in there once, but I'm not sure. (P.S. I talked to the house coordinator, and supposedly Jack isn't even supposed to be in the house. He was supposed to have rubbed off on all the patients so they all "have a little bit of Jack.")

Psycho Path:

So first of all, the fire alarms went off in PUTS and Psycho House, so we had to stand outside for like 15 minutes. haha. Once we got inside, It was just blah. You know how every year, they have to have a house with the vortex tunnel, and stupid tricks with people blending into the walls? That would be this house. Stupid Vortex. Stupid blending into walls. Stupid neon paint and black lights. Nothing really memorable.

Dungeon of Terror:

So Universal was like, "We spent all our money on People Under the Stairs (More about that in a minute) so we're just going to give you all masks and fake teeth.... ummm, act like rednecks." Dungeon of Terror was pretty terrible. The theming and scenery weren't so bad. It was mostly that the scareactors and their costumes were terrible. Red necks are annoying. not scary. There was a preacher outside who was really entertaining... and a drunk woman dancing in the middle of the queue.

People Under the Stairs:

"OMG we need to make a 7th house! Think of something quick!... I've got it! A house that is under construction..." Is what PUTS is. It was so bad. It was like they ran out of time and money, and made this house. First of all, This and Pscycho Path were built in tents behind MiB. So there were parts in both houses where you could look up and see the top of the stupid tents. It was basically wall frames with plastic over them. and then they splattered red paint randomly. The scareactors weren't that bad, it was just the house. So bad. To make things worse, they are using the flashlight hats from Terror Mines last year... The house is not dark at all, so the mining hats are pretty useless. The scareactors pretty much only jumped out for the guy behind us with the light. Sorry Krakenking

This year has potential. We'll see...

Pretty much my biggest complaints this year are that while all of the houses have a storyline, they all don't have movies explaining them like the past couple years. I really like houses that have a cool storyline. AND THERE IS TOO MUCH EFFING HANGY STUFF. I'm too busy pushing fiberouse materials and body parts out of my face to notice any of the scareators popping out. Sorry Kraken, strongly disagree with you on best house.

Scare Zones:

Blood Masquerade:

It was pretty nifty, unfortunately the only time we went through there, the scareactors were not out. Lots of electric candles and fog.

Harvest of Souls:

Best scare zone. It was like the corn fields from a couple years ago... but less crappy. Random pumpkin headed people and scarecrows.

Deadtropolis:

I liked the scareactors. zombie tourists. lol, a zombie riding a bike and random stripper zombies.

We also stopped to watch The Arrival. Pretty cheesy. the icons came out and did their little killing people thing, and then just stood there. All except for Eddie I must add... Everyone kind of stood around when it was over because we had no idea if it was actually the end or not, lol.

Jimemo..... two of your least favorites (Psychopath and DoT) are two of my most anticipated! Of course I am a sucker for disorientorium style houses.........

"It gets better and better every time!"

"No. No it doesn't."

Remember that?

I hate you. and I hate Disorientorium. Atleast none of the houses this year are as hot and miserable as stupid Diso was.
