Petrol prices dipped below a $1 per litre which is absolutely surreal, I feel like taking a photo of the sign. In recently times petrol has routinely been at $1.50 - $1.60 a litre.

I have to drive 400 km tonight to play in a sporting event so I'm loving it.

The price of 87 dropped below $2 this week in Santa Monica, CA, which is usually one of the more expensive places to fill up in LA.

Western New York rocks...currently $2.19 per gallon in Jamestown where I live. One of the most economically depressed areas in the US with some of the highest gas prices in the country.

Down to $1.52 here in mid-eastern KY. We took the Expedition out for a spin today; first time we've done that since September!

Never in a million years did I think I'd see gas prices dip below a buck fifty again, but today I filled up with $1.48 unleaded 87 in Nashville. I was standing in shock and awe when the auto cut-off stopped pumping at $17.80. Remember after hurricane Ike when gas was at over 4 bucks?

"I filled up for $1.53 today." (chmilo24)

Your car must have a small tank!

Even though prices are dropping, I'm still sticking to my easy driving. My CR-V is currently getting about 28 mpg overall, which is five mpg higher than the EPA says it's supposed to get---and they're usually on the high side anyway.

I plan to fill up sometime this weekend or early next week, and it looks like I'll be paying less than $1.50/gallon when I do.
