downunder Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Petrol prices dipped below a $1 per litre which is absolutely surreal, I feel like taking a photo of the sign. In recently times petrol has routinely been at $1.50 - $1.60 a litre. I have to drive 400 km tonight to play in a sporting event so I'm loving it.
thrillerman1 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 It's wild isn't it? Kinda makes you feel like you've just won the lottery or something.
Jeff_B Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 The price of 87 dropped below $2 this week in Santa Monica, CA, which is usually one of the more expensive places to fill up in LA.
sixflagsguy5 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 $1.66 It's too bad that it's not coaster season. I could do some pretty cool coaster roadtrips for really cheap.
Philrad71 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Western New York rocks...currently $2.19 per gallon in Jamestown where I live. One of the most economically depressed areas in the US with some of the highest gas prices in the country.
DBru Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Down to $1.52 here in mid-eastern KY. We took the Expedition out for a spin today; first time we've done that since September!
thrillerman1 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Never in a million years did I think I'd see gas prices dip below a buck fifty again, but today I filled up with $1.48 unleaded 87 in Nashville. I was standing in shock and awe when the auto cut-off stopped pumping at $17.80. Remember after hurricane Ike when gas was at over 4 bucks?
thrillerman1 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 It was $1.40 in Nashville when I left work tonight.
thrillerman1 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 $1.38 in Nashville tonight as I left work.
terrancew_hod Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Premium was $1.87 in Fort Lauderdale. Filling up for less than $25 (when I was paying $60 a few months ago)... I almost fainted! Terry
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 1.59 the last time I filled up. I put 20 on the pump and got back 3 bucks with a full tank.
ebl Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 "I filled up for $1.53 today." (chmilo24) Your car must have a small tank! Even though prices are dropping, I'm still sticking to my easy driving. My CR-V is currently getting about 28 mpg overall, which is five mpg higher than the EPA says it's supposed to get---and they're usually on the high side anyway. I plan to fill up sometime this weekend or early next week, and it looks like I'll be paying less than $1.50/gallon when I do. Eric
thrillerman1 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I didn't get a chance to see gas prices when I left work tonight as it was SNOWING in Nashville, and I was really distracted.
