I had to chime in my support for montu. Just an excellent ride from beginning to end. Also nice to see silver bullet get a little love I always thought I was the only one who liked that one.

^Yep.

After Burn at Carowinds is actually a very good invert, I'm surprised it didn't get more votes.

After Burn is an excellent ride, too.

Since the Dragons don't duel anymore, I will be ranking them separately.

1. Montu - Favorite coaster of all time as well, even with the trims it's still great. (If you really wanna ride it without trims, get on it early in the morning.)

2. Dueling Dragons Ice - For a long time, my favorite of the 2 sides.

3. Raptor - Retro invert goodness.

4. Afterburn or Top Gun or whatever you wanna call it - Dat batwing. <3

5. TIE between Batman and Dueling Dragons Fire - 2 really intense coasters, but Fire's layout is a bit lame.

And last and totally least:

Hangman or Twisted Typhoon or whatever you wanna call it -

I've been on 5. Ranked in order...

1. Silver Bullet (KBF)

2. Raptor (CP)

3. Batman (SFMM)

4. Wicked Twister (CP)

5. Deja Vu (SFMM) -defunct-

I love Silver Bullet's over-bank, the "perfect" zero-g-roll, and the corkscrew to helix at the end. It passes Raptor and Batman IMO.

My vote was for Montu since Vekoma GIBs didn't have their own category. Dueling Dragons used to be ahead of Montu as well, but since they no longer duel I enjoy Montu more. Impulse coasters are also fun, though the ones with working holding brakes are MUCH better. My top 5 Invert list would look like this:

1. GIBs

2. Montu

3. Dueling Dragons (Ice is slightly better than Fire IMO)

4. Impulse coasters (The style like Dorney Park, Valleyfair, and SFGAm)

5. Raptor

DD Fire, then Montu, then DD Ice. I still haven't gotten a chance to ride Montu on a summer afternoon, but I'm spoiled for Invert intensity since my first was Fire in row 8. As such, I find Montu a bit tame based on my recent rides. As for Ice, too much of the layout feels like filler to me. Just my two cents. I need to ride more inverts.

My vote would have been Aftershock (GIB) but since it doesn't have a category, what I have left is a Batman (Original!! ) and a SLC ( :/ ..... ). Obvious Choice.

As a European that never visited the US, here is my list:

1. Katun : Forcefull as hell and a beautiful layout and theming

2. Batman Clones (Ridden Batman in Parque Warner Madrid): Intense and good theming

3. Nemesis / Monster : Also a lot of force, Nemesis better setting, Monster better force in my opinion. That's why they share the third place.

4. Stunt Fall (GIB) : Really intense, but a bit bumpy.

5. Black Mamba: Theming is outstanding, but the ride isn't that forceful

6. Nemesis Inferno: while I enjoyed the ride, the lack of theming and lack of force made him here.

7. Oz'Iris: Theming is great, layout looks great, ride was to damn forceless. I still don't understand why this ride was so lame...

8. All the SLC's. I think Vampire in Walibi Belgium is one of the 'better' SLC you can find, El Condor the worst.

1)Definitely Montu.

2)Followed by Dueling Dragons love them both.

3)Alpengeist my first invert.

4)Raptor

5)Batman (SFGAdv)

Honorable Mention) Wicked Twister, love this ride just plain fun.

Time to update following my first trip to Worlds of Fun:

1. Raptor

2. Dragons (Fire)

3. Montu

4. Flight Deck

5. Great Bear

6. Dragons (Ice)

7. Talon

8. Batman: The Ride

9. Silver Bullet

10. Patriot

Unfortunately I was not impressed with Patriot at all. This is coming from a huge B&M fan, and even I thought it was utterly forceless. It was not particularly smooth either. Patriot seems to have developed the B&M rattle much earlier than its cousins Talon and Silver Bullet.

I'll take occasional headbanging and snappy transitions with REAL forces (Raptor, Dragons, Montu, Flight Deck, Bear) over the newer breed of inverts any day.

Nemesis closely followed by Montu. Montu only loses out because its blocking ruins its pace and progression and Nemesis' location in the ground is just immense!

No love for Nemesis inferno however, interlocking corkscrews are only good to look at...

Between Montu and Batman, I'm going to have to go Montu. When I visited, I rode front row with no trims and no brakes on the MCBR. It really allowed the coaster to fly through the track and was a highlight of my visit to Busch Gardens.

Nemesis. A great ride made even better by awesome placement and theming. Sometimes the creative solution a to restrictions makes for an amazing ride!

Sadly, I have only been on one invert... a Vekoma SLC (Flight Deck @ Canada's Wonderland) which actually wasn't as rough as I thought it would be, and had some pretty damn forceful sections w/ good positive Gs. Hopefully this will change, however, as I am preparing to go to SFLR (La Ronde, Montreal), where they have a B&M B:TR mirror clone (as well as an SLC, which is stupid).

My question is, how good will the B:TR clone be considering the SLC wasn't too bad, and essentially has the same height, speed and number of inversions? Can anyone let me know what to expect?

Expect the Batman clone to crap all over the SLC. Sure, SLC's have some alright forces, but B&M inverts, especially Batman clones, are much more forceful while at the same time being perfectly smooth.

My personal favorite is Montu, followed by Volcano, Great Bear, and the Batman clones.
