DarienLaker Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Scream! gets my vote for having the most ugliest color scheme for a coaster! If they had a Golden Ticket Award for the coaster with the worst color scheme on it Scream! would win it!
Geauga Dog Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 ^Just think Banshee's colors are somewhat similar but opposite minus the yellow rails so at least we have a preview of what Banshee will look like when it's all faded in about ten years.
DarienLaker Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 ^I still think that Scream! has a bad color scheme! Speaking of which the Mind Eraser clones (except for the one at Six Flags America) have just the rather ugly and overused red track and teal supports and Darien Lake's Mind Eraser is really in need of a new paint job!
cmullin Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Dodonpa, it just looks like rusty, old, white paint.
Aceattack52 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 sorry for the necromancy, but this is the most FABULOUS boomerang ever I have a picture of the Cobra in my room from when it first opened and it looks pretty good. Mostly because the paint isn't faded and is all glossy. As it should be.
Angle O. Descent Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Phantom's Revenge's light green looks a bit tacky considering the theme
805Andrew Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I was going to say Scream, but since it was already mentioned I'll say Jaguar at Knott's.
Myself Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I just happened to see this thread after TPR posted the POV of Knightmare at the defunct Camelot: Now, my eyes may be playing tricks on me, but it does not look like this coaster actually HAS paint, and if it does, I think the fact that I was able to make such a mistake says a lot. Nothing against the ride itself, as it looks awesome like its sister ride, Jetline. If the stars align and the ride is saved and relocated (again), I certainly hope its would-be new owners would make the ride look better.
DarienLaker Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 The former Tony Hawk's Big Spin coasters that are now known as "Pandemonium" (not counting Joker from Six Flags Mexico) still have "Tony Hawk colors (red and black). Those colors no longer make sense anymore since Six Flags renamed the Tony Hawk's Big Spin coasters to "Pandemonium". Frankly I think that Six Flags needs to repaint the three remaining Tony Hawk's Big Spin coasters to a different color scheme!

Frankly I think that Six Flags needs to repaint the three remaining Tony Hawk's Big Spin coasters to a different color scheme! Why do the colors not make sense now? When I rode Pandemonium at SFDK, I didn't see a problem with the color scheme and the (minor) theming it had to offer. Honestly, the red and black colors look good on Pandemonium.
DarienLaker Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 ^Everyone has their opinion about weather or not the red and black color scheme on the former Tony Hawk's Big Spin coasters (Pandemonium) makes sense now since Six Flags lost the rights to use Tony Hawk's name, likeness, and logo(s). I think that the former Tony Hawk's Big Spin coasters would look better in lime green and orange like SFNE's Pandemonium (the original).
Moose Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Smiler is just plain hideous. It's a cacophony of twisted black metal that could have benefited from the addition of a different color support or rails.
DougMJr Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 ^^ I just don't get how the colors don't, "make sense." Like, what makes you look at that and think to yourself, "hmmm that doesn't make sense," or, how does the colors on SFNE's Pandemonium make more sense? I'm genuinely curious.
Aceattack52 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I always thought Insane Speed at Janfusun Fancyworld was pretty garish. This one right here is probably the worst I've seen.

gisco Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Xcelerator at Knott's has always seemed washed out to me.
DarienLaker Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Xcelerator at Knott's has always seemed washed out to me. Ugh, what colors is Xcelerator at Knott's Berry Farm suppose to be pink and sky blue, looks really ugly to me!

Ugh, what colors is Xcelerator at Knott's Berry Farm suppose to be pink and sky blue, looks really ugly to me! Xcelerator's track supposedly has a "coral" color to it while I believe the supports are sea foam green. It looked a lot nicer when it was new:
DarienLaker Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Beastie/Woodstock Express at Kings Island just has a horrible color sky blue color scheme. It's just bad for a wooden coaster (except for Cedar Point's BlueStreak) frankly I think Kings Island should repaint it orange!
Koasterking48 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 ^ Seriously?! Orange would look better than sky blue? I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Anyways, my least favorite color scheme is the universally-hated colors of Scream! God-awful I also do not care for Flight Deck's all-gray scheme. It was better with red track
rctneil Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I always thought Insane Speed at Janfusun Fancyworld was pretty garish. This one right here is probably the worst I've seen. Oooh, Loved that ride! It quite like the funky colours, makes it stand out.
IronWolfman Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Honestly I don't think many coasters have bad color schemes. The only coasters that look bad are the ones that need a repaint... Even Scream would look good if it was repainted.
larrygator Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I'm sure I've said this before but it's worth repeating: NITRO
cfc Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 KD's Shockwave used to sport of a rather ugly pastel color scheme to help it blend in better with the old Nickelodeon kids' area. It aged and faded badly. I think the green and blue they use now is better.
