viking86 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Christmas storm hitting shore about now. Flights and ferrys cancelled so far. Should be a fun evening, happy to stay at home.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Nice and sunny and 60 degrees, with wait times no longer than 30 minutes!
DoinItForTheFame Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 It was cold an snowy last week, and today it was up to 70 degrees. WTF?! Mother nature, make up your mind. Is it winter, or summer??
Nrthwnd Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Am photographing MORE SNOW every other ten minutes or so - and it's still coming down! Â Which is VERY UNUSUAL for us here in Vancouver. Not regular every winter. Nothing like Eastern Canada usually gets. A real heavy snowfall is rare for us, once every... uh....five years or so? Well, time's caught up, lol. It's amazing! Â Photos posted later, as we get dark around 5 pm PST. Â #Whatta-wayta-endtha-year
viking86 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 2016 is ending with a somewhat rainy New Years Eve. I don't know how much rain we've had in 2016, but it's been A LOT!!!
viking86 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Aaaaaaaand winter has arrived.... and looking at the weather forecast it will be gone by tomorrow!
Nrthwnd Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 ^ That looks lovely! Our snow is (mostly) still here, but now it's...
DoinItForTheFame Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 It snowed last night/early this morning, but will probably be gone by tomorrow knowing how our weather changes.
viking86 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Ok the world has officially gone wrong, this is our forecast for the coming week and a half! Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but this sort of weather here during wintertime is pretty much unheard of. Â Ah well, atleast this week has been normal with first a little snow and then several days of rain and sleet.. .
DoinItForTheFame Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Hmmm, how could I explain the weather here?? Â The weather here is like mother nature is going through menopause. One day it's nice and warm, and beautiful. The next day it's freezing cold and raining. . . Hell half the time it will be freezing in the morning, 75 in the afternoon and back down to freezing at night. . . Â I can't wait for spring and summer to come back.
TheAmericanKnight Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 There is an inch of snow on the ground and it's about 20 degrees fahrenheit.
Nrthwnd Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Rain, Rain and more Rain! Â Us, too! And all of the &%#@!~ snow is melting - melllllting!
RollingCoasting Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 We've had an unusually warm winter here in Chicagoland (Where I live at least). Haven't seen snow since late December/early January. I'm definitely not complaining though
cparkes92 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Rain, Rain and more Rain! Â I'm glad you guys are finally getting some rain out there! Â It's clear and about 20 degrees F here
Nrthwnd Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Apparently, the eastern side of Canada, i.e. The Maritimes, is being brought to a "standstill" with the heavy snowfall and winds. Â Eep.
Philrad71 Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Shit...total shit. Snowing like a b%itch and my snowblower decides it's not going to start today. Finally got it started with a spark plug change though, so all hope is not lost. Â I'm soooo over winter!
VF15 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Highs are going to be in the 50s this weekend, that's quite unusual for February in Minnesota. Might be time to break out the shorts.
Nrthwnd Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 And...for now...we're done with snow! Â Â Temps are slightly warmer, and now we're getting our usual share of rain, rain, rain. Â Which is fine by me.
wmay Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Not too bad (for Scandinavia, lol). We've been blessed with temperatures around 5c (40f) for most of the winter. The worst part is the darkness, but that's slowly getting better as well.
