Woodie Warrior
^ American Thunder is a great little coaster. I can't believe they are having so many problems with our lame "new " addition. American Thunder is one of the top coasters at SFSTL and is the best wood coaster there IMO. Yeah, a 20+ year old coaster recently refurbished should not be having this many problems. prozach626
There are only a few roller coasters that I might be able to say are as good or better than American Thunder, IMO: -Raven at Holiday World (personal preference) -The Beat at King's Island -Terminator SFMM (Also a GCI) -Prowler at WOF (another GCI) I'll give the Voyage and honorable mention, but it's not good to reride. Are they ever going to put the timberliners on it?!
Woodie Warrior
American Thunder ranks behind only Outlaw Run, The Voyage, and The Legend on my list. Edited June 27, 2013 by Woodie Warrior

prozach626
Legend's laterals are too strong to be enjoyable, for me.
Kafka
May be an idiotic question, but are the Hannibarrels the rusted out ride visible from the first drop of the Ninja? Ive been going to SFStL for the last few years, but I have never been at the park when the Hannibarrels were open.

When Carolina Cobra opened at Carowinds, the catch car hit the back of the train when the train was returning and they had problems with it on media day. So it happens I guess. What they had to do was stop the catch car from decending until the train had already returned. Seems to work fine now. I'm looking forward to me first visit to St. Louis in September since 2006. Got 3 new credits to get now.

Interesting that wasn't already the case - Sidewinder at Hershey doesn't release the catch car until the train is already back in the station. I wasn't aware that the other clones operated differently.

The Westate
I rode it last time, I went backwards on it then, I don't see the point of counting it as a new credit. But to each his own.
XYZ
Counting backwards credits is like counting every ride on a spinning coaster as a new credit, since no two rides on a spinning coaster is the same.
StLCPfan
I see it more as counting both halves of a racer that is exactly mirror in design as 2 credits. And then when one side is run backwards for Halloween as a 3rd credit
The Westate
Some people also count relocated coasters as new credits if they rode it in both (all) places. In that case I'd have about 2 or 3 more credits, but I don't count it that way. The first ride in the first park is all I count.

nrs2420
So all I have to do is ride 9 coasters in 9 hours? Eh I still registered.
theymitbgi
I was looking at the registration for this, it sounds really interesting an overnight at SF. Wonder if all coasters will run all night.

jray21
^That sounds like it could be a fun event. I'd love to see and all TPR team end with all 24 people!
prozach626
45 minutes on The Boss, Ninja, and Boomerang. No thanks. I'd try to get on the team that does BTR and American Thunder first, and then bail. No need to stay after that.
