bspellx5 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 The Sooperdooperlooper at Hersheypark when i was 6. It was also my little sister's first looping roller coaster too this past summer when she was 5. IMO, its a fairly good choice for someone's first coaster with inversions.
almightyfire Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I don't remember. Never thought about it. i guess it would be the greased lightning at SF Astroworld in houston. It had to be that i suppose because that was my homepark and that had to have been the first looping coaster there.
John Peck Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Double Loop, and it would be nice if it survives.
JustLikeMe Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril at Disneyland Paris
coasterfreak914 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Incredible Hulk at Islands of Adventure.
zeke11793 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 My first was Montu at BGT. My friend forced me on it.
Pufferfish Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 My first was Carolina Cyclone. Beautiful Arrow looping goodness .
upside down Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Top Gun at canadas wonderland, the sucky version of the three.
chris.radders Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Got to have been colossus at thorpe park, uk from what i remember it was the first season of it As a guy from the UK it's the only thing that counts as being good, the in-line twists are the strangest but the coolest
BRTeller Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Anaconda at Kings Dominion I remember I was like 7 and really scared. -Brandon
RCfanatic Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 The late Looping Star (a Schwarzkopf) at Bobbejaanland, i liked it but for some reason i still hadn't lost my fear of inversions yet, it took me many years before i finally rode an inverting coaster again (at Walibi Belgium), but that time i overcame my fear and even became a rollercoaster enthusiast!
Coaster Joe Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 The Vekoma at Boblo Island....waited over an hour. Â Went to the back of the park and the Sansei Sky Streak was a walk-on. I rode the Streak about 10 times that day....with no desire to ride the Corkscrew again. Â Wishing Boblo was still around.
DBru Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Vortex at Kings Island, I was a TALL 6 year old...
RIP Psyclone Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Montezooma's Revenge at KBF, when it was still in its original yellow livery, and before it got penetrated by Jaguar!.
milst1 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 That would be Lightning Loops in 1978 or 1979. Two interlocking loop shuttle coasters by Arrow...first looping coaster in NYC area since the old Coney Island days.
Jayjay719 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Steamin Demon at the Great Escape was my first looper. Yay go me.
StraX22 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Texas Tornado at SFAW (AKA Thriller / Zonga). Â I remember when I rode it for the first time, the support beams were sitting on plywood and my vision blacked out during the double loop off the lift hill.
astroworldfan1 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Mine was a Vekoma Boomerang. Good way to start with first coaster (not)!. It was at Jazzland.
Purplepills Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Corkscrew at Alton Towers, also was my first 'proper' coaster. I'd post a pic but does anyone really want to see a Vekoma Corkscrew?
