All of the Wing Rider cars look awesome. But The Swarm's would have to be my favorite.

Not only do they look good, but the cars on Iron Shark are comfortable and the lack of OTSRs make the beyond-vertical drop a serious OMFG moment. There are signs on the pier saying "no profanity allowed" but those were installed before the coaster opened. Stand in the queue under that drop and you'll learn all kinds of new words!

The trains on Manta at Seaworld San Diego look awesome.

 

Also, Vekoma's new style looper trains are very attractive and surely improve the ride.

1. Incredible Hulk. I Just love the vehicles of the ride along with the roaring.

2. Dueling Dragons IOA. Was well themed before Harry Potter

3. Rock N Roller Coaster Disney

4. Manta: Sea World Orlando

5. Transformers Ride 3D Universal Studios Hollyood!

I like the look of the trains that will be on Outlaw Run at Silverdollar City. I hate those Intamin Standup trains with a passion.

I agree all the way with Iron Shark! The lap bar is a bit uncomfortable as the bar itself is a triangle and the corner is what hits my thigh, not the flat part, but that giant grin up on the front makes the car look killer. But hey, I'll take a lap bar over the OTSR anytime!

I always thought that the car on xscream looked pretty cool.

I haven't ridden this coaster. But the train design and the seats sure do look groovy. It's called Hollywood Dream.

^It's pretty cool the way the trains light up on this ride--one of the prettier B&M coasters.

I still have no 'fave' when it comes to a

roller coaster's train design and/or features.

And tracked dark rides like Indy or Spiderman are

still very cool dark ride experiences to ride again

and again....

 

But for myself, it's still the trackless vehicles that

push the envelope of a dark ride's experience. Or

in the case of TDS' Aquatopia (outdoor)... good

silly fun.

 

I haven't ridden any that SallyCorp. and other

companies are now coming out with. But Disney

still does a good one like the latest and still best,

"Pooh's Hunny Hunt" at Tokyo Disneyland.

 

But that title could possibly change next year, with

HKDL's opening of Mystic Manor, with two ride

vehicles each taking off and doing the Haunted

Mansion 'Dance', which should be very cool.

 

And the following year, Paris' WDS' Kitchen Calamity

(working title) is set to open it's doors. And there's

still no leak on what that vehicle's supposed

to be. Riders shrunk to the size of a rat. Hmmm...

The KumbaK trains on Arkham Asylum at Warner Bros Movie World not only look awesome, they've also managed to turn a horrible SLC headbanger into a really decent, intense, enjoyable coaster! Their only design flaw is that for some reason the ride attendants have to do up the seatbelt for you, making loading times painfully slow. But at least the ride itself is no longer painful.

I know this thread is about the coolest looking ride vehicles. But, Phantom's Revenge has the UGLIEST cars I've ever seen.

Giovanola hypercoaster cars are a close second, hideous.

i waited about 30 minutes with only about 60-80 people in front of me with 2 trains

i really like expedition Everest steam trains also

- Car-themed trains (Verbolten, Texas Giant, Rock n' Roller Coaster, Top Thrill Dragster)

- Wing coaster trains (XRaptor, Swarm, X-Flight)

- Trains that look like trains (Big Thunder Mountain, Expedition Everest, Maverick)

- Trains that look like animals (Manta, Cheetah Hunt)

 

General train types

- Dive Machine trains

- Skyrush's trains

- Intamin prefab trains

- 4D coaster trains

- Millennium Flyers and Timberliners

 

Disney/Universal can pull off some pretty cool vehicle designs.

As old and *retro* as they may be, I'll pick the old Anton/Intamin trains. I guess they don't look "the coolest" but they ride great; they're safe and you actually get real air time and even lateral time.

I like Teststreckes (Laser from Dorney Park now on the German Fair ciricut) trains that were made by Zierer. I also like the lap bar only trains on the Boomerang at Wiener Prater in Austria (those lap bars look painful though).
