bobpuppet Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 71% (Dixie). Your neck must be at least pink! And Im born and raised in Boston of all places. But I did live a Florida for six years in the 90's. Pete(Red Necked Boston Guy)
cfc Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 55% (Right on the Mason-Dixon Line)--I attribute this to growing up in California's San Joaquin Valley (which is sort of like being in Oklahoma) and living for the last twenty years in Virginia. Here's a question they left off, I think: Do you call it a chicken-fried steak or a country-fried steak? I tried to order a "chicken-fried steak" in a coffee shop in Asheville, NC, a few years ago and got quite a lecture from a waitress on how "we call'em 'country-fried' down south, sugar." Chuck "Never put brown gravy on mashed potatoes when serving them with chicken-fried steak" Campbell
USRoadTripper Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 58% (Dixie). Right on the Mason-Dixon Line And trying harder and harder every day not to use southernisms! People always ask me if I'm from California for some reason. Until I went to Boston last year and as soon as I'd start to speak, people would say "Oh my gawd, where are you from? You've got the thickest accent!" hahaha -Julie
andrea Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 76%(dixie)even though i dont call myself redneck or yankee
Penguin Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 66% Dixie. Just under the Mason-Dixon line. I guess that's from living in Nashville for a couple of years (I really did like it there though)
derwood Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 37% (Yankee). You are definitely a Yankee. I guess I am a Hoosier.
Space Freak Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Wow, so far I have the lowest score... "24% (Yankee). You are a Yankee Doodle Dandy." Hell, i better be a Yankee Doodle Dandy... It is after all, the Connecticut State Song!!! lol Rob And if you ask me, a drive through package store is a bad idea... While on the other hand, a packy that delivers is a GREAT idea...
momo1tx Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 57% Right on the Mason-Dixon Line. Their right, I live in Northern Virginia, right near the Mason Dixon line. But I dislike rednecks...
Token Yankee Guy Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 And if you ask me, a drive through package store is a bad idea... While on the other hand, a packy that delivers is a GREAT idea... There is a liquor store smack dab in a residential area in my part of town back in CT. It's been there for so many years no one cares it's there.
Teddymonster Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 44% (Yankee). Barely in the Yankee category. Go figure... 8)
What Now Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 49% (Yankee). Barely in the Yankee category. I think this is because a lot teachers I've had were from New York (even though most of my family is Southern/Western). One question they left off: Do you say Wah-ter or War-ter?
Kroger8 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 71% (Dixie). Your neck must be at least pink! And I hate rednecks, although I live in the "Highest trailers per capita state" Not that they are bad, but a lot of the times a trailer here is like a 1970s single wide, with a spiderman towel hanging up on the one window in the back, and a dodge truck with KC lights on it sitting out in the front...
ChrisZer0 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 29% (Yankee). You are a Yankee Doodle Dandy. I get that for the fact my moms from Ohio, where people are raised to speak with some sort of normalicy. Whereas I live in the south, where people are allowed to inbreed
FlippyTrick09 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 100% (Dixie). Is General Lee your grandfather? Guilty as charged!
DonkeyBreath Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 43% (Yankee). Barely in the Yankee category.
SteveC Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 45% Yankee. Being from the UK the Q's were pretty straightforward apart from No.17 Exactly how much toilet paper throwing goes on over there? :? and why? Steve- very confused this Q would make a poll-C
Space Freak Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 ^ Ha ha, thats pretty funny. Its usually a halloween tradition, but its also meant as a practical joke, you go around throwing toilet paper on everything, trees, houses, etc etc... I personally dont see it too often, once or twice a year. It makes a mess, but completely harmless. Just a pain in the ass... Rob
stingrock23 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 86% (Dixie). Do you still use Confederate money? I didn't realize I was that redneckish.
4718 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 45% Yankee, odd........I got 58% last time, still don't know why I've got the southern tendancies though. I saw a few things pop up because my dad is from Wisconsin, think that had an effect on me a little. Still, never would have guessed I'd score that high after living in L.A. County ALL my life!!
TheGreatOne Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 55% (Dixie). Right on the Mason-Dixon Line All of my family is from Southern Ohio or West Virginia, so I'm not surprised that I'm slightly redneck.
