Got a classic one back in 2008.

I was waiting in line for The Dark Knight at Great Adventure during its first month or two of operation. My friend and I were just talking about the coaster in line outside:

Me: Can't wait to ride!

Friend: So, is this like Batman?

Me: No, it's like one of those Wild Mouses, it's just indoors with theming.

Random person in front of us: I heard this does, like, 20 loops!

My friend and I just sat silent for the rest of the time. We were completely baffled by the stupidity of that statment, ESPECIALLY when I just said it was a Wild Mouse coaster. I understand that it's indoors, but do you THINK it would loop if it was indoors?

Also, just yesterday, my same friend got into this conversation with me:

Me: I didn't really like The Dark Knight. Too tame.

Friend: Yeah, it was basically just like the Mouse Trap roller coaster...

I...I couldn't figure out what to say...

I have ANOTHER gem...

I was waiting in line back in 2004 on Viper at GAdv (The same day I asked an attendee for a chiropractor after the ride ), and while on line, I heard this guy who looked to be in his 30s say:

"Oh, so this is Ultra Twister! I guess they let its paint job rust, and then changed the name!....Cool!"

Exact words, no lie.

Everyone literally stared at him in disbelief.

I also got into a 10 minute argument with a 12-year old kid on line for Maverick on its first operating day about how TTD was NOT Kingda Ka repainted...

Congrats, you made a kid cry.

Please, the kid had a mustache, and was talking like he was 20 and knew everything.

Still, he certaintly was annoying. He claimed he "knew a guy in Cedar Point", and said that Kingda Ka was shipped from GAdv and repainted...

...Can somone say "IDIOT"?

What Was he thinking? They shipped the coaster across but accidently left the massive airtime hill at the park so they just left it and put in a straight piece?

When Diamondback was being built, I was talking with a friend about it.

Friend: Hey did you hear about that new roller coaster that Kings Island is building?

Me: Yeah Diamondback.

Friend: That's going to be crazy. I've never heard of a roller coaster that goes 200 feet tall.

Me: Go to Cedar Point. They have four coasters over 200 feet tall.

Friend: But they aren't taller than Diamondback.

Me: Yeah, Millennium Force is over 300 and Top Thrill Dragster is over 400.

Friend: No that can't be. Diamondback is going to be the tallest roller coaster in the world.

And after I showed him a video of Top Thrill Dragster he said "But that isn't a roller coaster."

In 2003, I went to Disney World. In line for Alien Encounter, I saw a woman with a boy about 6 years old holding her hand. Here's how the conversation went down:

"I don't think it's a good idea for him to be trying this. It's really scary."

"Oh, he did fine on the Haunted Mansion, so he'll be fine on this."

Well, while on yahoo answers, someone asked what the longest coaster in the world was.

Someone Posted: The longest rollarcoaster (and the highest) is a ride that is part of a hotel/ casino in LA. I do not remember the of the casino but I remember it was a huge tall building and you go to the very top and there is the boarding station (like other theme parks) and it goes up and drops heka far down. It was the biggest thrill ever.

^^ I will never understand why people spell word wrong purposefully, it looks so stupid, it's hard to read, and it's only cool if you're around 11... which is probably that guy's age.

^It's not cool at that age either. That's just outright illiterate.
