Thelegendarymatthew
I'm going to Hershey tomorrow, I wonder what my group (preps, and future drop outs) will say. Anyways, my English teacher was telling me about Six Flags Great Adventures like I didn't know what it was. Like I said that Ka isn't the fastest any more, and she said I was wrong. I find it even more funny seeing how she came to me knowning I like coasters. -Matthew "I hate the school's grouping system" K.
DBru
^Well, technically, it IS the fastest coaster in the world...(Ring Racer had not opened to the public yet.) And I'm really surprised to hear that she actually knew that Kinga Ka existed! That is pretty cool. How far do you live from SFGAdv?
netdvn
^ I believe it takes about 7-8 hours to get to NYC from Williamsburg (where I live) if you decide to use the I-64 to I-95. The driving time is cut if you decide to take the Chesepeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
MattC
One of my friends told me that the Squirrel Nutty ride at Alton Towers used to go as fast as Rita but they had to slow it down so it didn't compete with Rita. FYI This is Squirrel Nutty

MattC
^ He* really wasn't. Genuinely thought he'd ridden it when it used to go 60mph all the way around.

It hasn't even had its test run yet. And I would love a teacher coming to me talking about roller coasters. I wouldn't find it funny, I would like it. --James
christianscoasters
the prowler is gay, it just goes i a straight line the entire time, the people that actually like this ride obviously have never ridden a good roller coaster Taken from WoF's Facebook. I don't see how it's "gay" but whatever.
AirtimeAddict17
A lot of these are funny! I have one from when I was riding the Looping Coaster at Funtown Pier at Seaside Park or Seaside Heights whatever town it's in! My friend and I were going into a helix and she said, "Yay! We're going into the corkscrews!!!" I was trying not to hysterically laugh but I said, "These aren't corkscrews! They're called helixes! Corkscrews you go upsidedown!!!" Then she said, "Oh. I still want to call them corkscrews. It sounds better!!!" It was a pretty funny experience. Love listening to people on rides and in line! Purplepills
So did you post that in here before someone else did? That should go in the 'dumbest things said on TPR' thread. Starting a 'war'. I mean really.

Thelegendarymatthew
I'm sure your English teacher would love hearing you say "more funny" instead of "funnier". Well I'm betting she would help me, seeing that shes my English improvement teacher. Anyways, Hershey is in two weeks. I got the date wrong, instead I got to go to the hospital to sit next to my grandfather for his final hours. -Matthew K.
CoasterCard
In line for the voyage yesterday, I heard this from one girl to another,"This ride is weak. I am going to Kings Island next week and riding the Beast. It's at least 4 times taller and 4 times longer." This was said in all seriousness and made me chuckle. christianscoasters
I know a lot of people don't like YouTube comments, but this one would even make the GP cringe. It's a comment on a video of an RCT3 coaster. wow u waste your time on computers when there is a whole world out there with actual people in it

GriffyTiffy
At Six Flags parks, they added Armitron signs to tell you how long the wait for each ride is. Last week in line for Viper at SFGAM: "I thought this was the Viper, but it is the Armitron roller coaster".
Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess
I was just at Playland yesterday and caught afew. Random lady: Can you really fall out of this (the Coaster) if you put your arms up? Me: No, it feels like it because it's called airtime. Random lady: Then I won't put my arms up! Me: Whatever you want then. Random kid: Dad, why don't people fall out of rollercoasters when they're upside down? Kid's Dad: There's something called centrifugal force at work when they're going in a circle. Me: CENTRIPETAL force and inertia actually. Centrifugal force is not real, it's only the effect. Kid: Thanks for that, nerd.... Kid's Dad: Woah, she know more than me.... (they walk away) Old guy: The Wild Mouse is gone? It was just there last time I came! Me: It's been dismantled unfortunately. The health inspectors have deemed it unsafe and it was constantly broken down. Old guy: Wow do you research rollercoasters or something? Me: Yes. jjune4991
I have heard many funny comments from "GP's", but the best is from the actual parks. At Busch Gardens, I always laugh when they say that Montu goes 65 mph...would be better, but a little exaggeration...
michielh3
It's almost a year ago , but the last time I visited Phantasialand there was this funny kid in front of me in the Silbermine , that said the following after exiting the ride: Kid : "wow , that was a stupid coaster" Me : "it's not a rollercoaster , it is a darkride" Kid : "ofcourse it's a roller coaster , it had bars holding me down , so it is a coaster" After that , the kid walked away , mad about the "coaster" not being good enough for him, leaving me behind, laughing about his way of thinking what is and isn't a roller coaster
TPDave
I don't normally post in here because to the GP, the questions ask aren't that odd, they only seem silly to us because we're geeks. I did hear an awesome one in 2005 though. I was at Thorpe Park (naturally) and was queueing for Nemesis overlooking Stealth being constructed. So cranes and men in yellow jackets on a massive pile of dirt surrounded by construction fences. The guy in front of me turned to his mate and in all seriousness said "Do you want to ride that later?"
