^ Wonder why the GP doesn't like Goliath. Definitely the best coaster there. (Sorry Vekoma fans and old woodie fans, you know it's true.)

My favorite GP moments are my friends at school when they're like:

I heard someone died on that ride so when I go next week I'm not going on it!

or

The new ride for next year is gonna have like 12 loop-de-loops! So going on it!

It's so stupid and I wanna correct them but they are rude about it, and when they go away I just can't help but laugh.

^Intamin sold their 12 loop design? I thought we would have known by now!

People who exaggerate facts are probably the most annoying, because they think they actually DO know everything, and snap back if you try to correct them. Speaking of which, one of my old friends thought Raptor at Cedar Point had 13 inversions.

EDIT: Found another one.

Jesus Christ, please tell me this new Dwarf Mine Coaster is not going to just be the Matterhorn rethemed. I'd hate to see the yeti replaced with Sneezy.

^Speaking of Poltergeist, I once went into a five minute argument about how many inversions it had. I said four and even drew the ride layout on paper for him, but he was convinced it was in the double-digits...

Found this on a POV of WDW's Pirates (first comment included to show context):

I kinda like the one in California better
@jasminepardo Disneyland is a dim copy of the much better WDW.

Debate all you want about DLR v. WDW. The fact that he claims Disneyland copied a resort that opened 16 years later just boggles me.

At the end of school the other day, our class had some extra time so we were looking for a conversation starter. Since of the kids would be gone at Disneyland the next few days, we decided on that. I mentioned that Disneyland had Hidden Mickeys, and some kids were saying that other Disney resorts don't have them. I wasn't so sure about that, but I stuck with it. The kid who would be on vacation said "Yeah, I tried looking for them on the Harry Potter ride, but I didn't see any."

Gee, I don't know why...

Standing in line for the Carolina Cyclone at Carowinds, 2009:

Guy behind me's telling his friend about how Son of Beast used to have a loop but because wooden coasters have no wheels under the track it fell in the loop and everyone died. So they took the loop out (at least he got that part right!).

Two comments on a SoB POV:

all wooden coaster should get rebuilded like The Texas Giant example Son of Beast And Mean Streak
no mean streak is the best ride ever the new texas giant rides

Nicer granted but it looks stupid they can relay the track but i will be mad if they give it the texas giant treatment

Talking to coworker yesterday about daylight savings, outdoor activities and amusement parks opening soon...

Coworker: You know up at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, they're opening up a Superman ride. (Her home park was Darien Lake and frequented Ride of Steel)

Me: Yea, should be cool. It's not like the Superman you know (Trying to refrain from saying that it's not an Intamin hyper coaster as that would leave her stumped). It's a more compact design that launches you upward and into an inversion 150 feet up.

Coworker: Aw...it's one of those 'spirally types.' Sounds like that V2 ride there.

Me: You can say that. *takes her to my computer as I had the B-roll video saved on it*

Coworker: Ooh, that looks cool!

In the end, it's a bit funny how people assume a ride with a certain name is going to be identical to a ride at most other Six Flags parks. We could be guilty of that (well, I would) if I heard someone talking about "the Batman ride" at Six Flags.

The other day I was wearing a Superman: Ride of Steel shirt from Six Flags America. Some random person came up to me and said my shirt was lying and that Superman (Referring to the one at Great Adventure) isn't 200 feet tall. Then I told him how its a different ride, and he replied, "So they took out superman for another superman?" At that point I left.

I must admit that I was guilty of this for about 10 seconds In the time between me seeing there was a new coaster called 'S:UF' on RCDB and me clicking on the images page, I kept thinking "Where are they going to fit a flying coaster in at Discovery Kingdom???"

When there are 7 identical Batman The Rides, 3 identical Superman: Ultimate Flights, 4 identical Sky Screamers, & 5 identical Mind Erasers, you have to give the GP a break.

I remember a while back I was wearing my Medusa shirt at work when one of my coworkers says

"Hey Billy, you know your shirt says "Med USA on it, right?"

Me: (Thinking of the countless medical cannabis dispensaries around here when I hear the term 'med') "No, it says 'Medusa.' You know, that lime green coaster at Six Flags in Vallejo?"

Coworker: "Nah, I've never been there...I haven't even gone to Great America since the late 90s."

I guess he was trying to be funny but kind of failed.

Cmment on a POV of Flotte Biene:

That ain't no roller coaster now the mind eraser at elitches that's a rollercoaster

If the best coaster you've gone on is a Vekoma SLC...you need to ride more coasters.

Its a common opinion here(Colorado). Almost EVERYONE at my school thinks that Mind Eraser and Twister II are the greatest coasters ever built. It makes me sad...

Like it was said above, Mind Eraser and Twister II are pretty much the best things on earth according to Coloradans. I can't tell you how many times people ask me what I think of Mind Eraser (since it's inverted). Denver deserves a better park. There's the market for it, so why not? Eh, oh well. Elitch Gardens needs a big staple coaster.

I was talking to some friends at school today about the slc Kong at SFDK, and for some reason, most of my friends really like the ride and said it was fun! But the best part is that when I tried to disagree and say that its really shaky and it beats you up, someone said that the fact that it beats you up is what makes it fun!

I asked some of my friends what their favorite ride in SFDK is and it was suprisingly Kong. It really makes no sense.

Some people like it rough, don't judge.

How can you like an SLC over just say Medusa (SFDK), a clearly superior coaster. It really makes no sense. Though, sometimes I like riding Kong just for the fun of it.
