Hey everyone, check out the photos from yesterday's visit to Haunt:

http://www.themeparkreview.com/haunt2005/haunt1.htm

Overall, Knott's Haunt event is very good. It's a *HUGE* step above the Six Flags Fright Fest events I've been to, although a notch below Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. That being said, it's a kick ass event and if you're into Halloween stuff at all, you need to go.

I won't go into too much of a trip report, but here are some of my thoughts:

- Really liked the new maze "13 Axe Murder Manor"

- Although my favorite maze was still one from 3 years ago "Hatchet High"

- Chipper Show was kind of amusing

- Hanging was pretty "meh" and 35 minutes seemed TOO long

- At least they killed Mr. Six (poor Mike)

- The Log Flume had some decent scares

- The Mine Train didn't

- Many of the monsters seemed more "playful" than in recent years, which was cool.

- Shaker Cans make the event seem "dated" and "low tech"

- "WATCH YOUR SPEED!!!"

- Ghostrider was the roughest I've ever seen it

- XLR8R was still awesome

- More hot chicks in the mazes than I've ever seen before!

- We only saw one "Slider" the whole night.

- When did they change the chicken recipe? It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the same.

- No biscuits. Grrrr.

- Four pounds of beans make for a great drive home!

- Seems weird that two of the mazes are way out backstage and they walk you by the trash dumpsters and maintenance vehicles to get there.

- "Coach Dan Sucks"

Ok, that's about it. Thanks to everyone who showed up for the meet, it was a really great night.

Great TR - so was it TGIF Jack Daniel's or Knott's Chicken, HMMM?

And where the heck was Joey, anyway? Or is this an instant "Find Joseph" kind of game?

You people have way too much fun for your own good.

Awesome photos, though has there ever been a photo of me on this site that hasn't turned out hideous? I'll just blame Robb's camera, not my actual physical repulsiveness.

Joey was the huge pig, remember?

We were told chair swings were "temporarily" closed. Hmm..perhaps we'll check back in an hour?

So...were they open later?

Poor Monica got thrust right into nexus of coaster tomfoolery. She was a good sport though and actually was still taking to me by the end of the night. I'm sure me being her ride home had nothing to do with it!

(j/k she had a great night too!)

That night was awesome, even though I still have a big Robb indentation in my side from the mine ride.

Thanks to everyone for coming out, and for NOT calling me "Don Knotts" for playing haunt tour guide!

-Don "Afraid of what I just created" Knotts...er, "Haunt Boy" will do.

Great photo TR, Robb. It looks like you really had a good time there! It is to sad, that I can not meet you all in Florida, this year! I think you will have a lot of fun there! However, I am waiting for the great pictures.

AAAAAAH! Yes, those are definitely creepy  . I think I'd rather take my chances with the large cock .

That just reminded of me of the Family Guy episode where Stewie teleports himself with his teddy in the machine and turns out on the other side as a freak!

Looks like you all had a really good time at Knott's! But what is Elissa doing in that photo?

I don't do haunted houses, trails, or any other spooky Halloween things because, well, I am just a big, scaredy cat baby. HOWEVER, if the opportunity ever presented itself to go with this bunch, I would go, because I know I would be too busy laughing to be scared!

I had sooo much fun. I'm going back tonight.

I can't wait for Florida. I will then be the judge of which Halloween event is better. Everything over there will be 100% fresh and new to me. So it's up to US/IOA to lose.

Two things to add to Robb's list.

"Jaguar" has been established as the big cat of coasters.

"Silver Bullet" is the kiddie coaster of B&M's

Hey Robb, Where are my pics?

Joey was in the Asylum Maze in the boiler room.

Haunt is way better than Fright Fest IMO. But when you consider that what your getting at SF is free; its not bad.
