Midgetman82
I know it's strange but I'm starting to feel sorry for the RCTW team. The whole thing really is a mess yet they seem so positive... where as Coaster Planet has been clear, savvy and focused from the get go, and the more info I get, the more my mind is blown with what a great game this is going to be not only for coaster fans, but all gamers. It really shows that the RCTW team are really just trying to get Atari out of the mire, while Frontier are already flourishing and therefore have the means to create a game that expands what we ever thought was possible in a theme park game. I can sort of agree with this. The latest developing team for RCTW, Nvizzio Creations, definitely don't seem to be on the same level of that as Frontier (judging from their very young Facebook page). They also don't have such a solid background in creating coaster simulation games as Frontier. While there's a lot about RCTW to bash, especially after seeing the Beta weekend, you have to give the Nvizzio team some credit for what they were able to push out in the short amount of time Atari gave them after giving the boot to the previous developers. With the delayed release that they're now doing, hopefully they'll have enough time to fix and improve and do better. Still, judging from the reactions of a lot of people over the internet, Frontier seems to be the ones that will probably end up standing at the forefront of soon-to-come coaster simulation games. Cmbgo12
The fact that you can customize the ride sequences, so its not just a set animation, and have it change the stats of the ride, already makes this game about ten million times better than RCTW... Samuel
Some very nice train art at :30! I'm glad to see the flag for attention to real-world authenticity flying high from Frontier. There's tremendous potential with PLC, and I've liked everything I've seen so far. When I saw the fluidity of the shots and one employee's Alienware computer, however, it reminded me that I need to target a PC upgrade in the near future! GCI Wooden
It's official. I NEED this game! This really does look like the Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 we've been waiting for. I completely agree. This does seem like the customization and realism of Nolimits, and the ease of use and playful appearence that is present in RCT. This game is going to be a hit. Let's just hope my computer will be able to handle it (Does anyone know when computer requirements will be released?)
Risky
^ I think it's too early to know. Isn't the game slated to come out fall of 2016?
coasterkid124
I think that this game will end up being one of the best coaster games on the market. It combines an easy interface with full customization and possibilities. On one end of the spectrum, NL2 and TPS are highly customizable, but hard to learn and perfect the skills. Plus TPS still isn't complete and not everything that the developers had promised it to be. Then there's Parkitect (Spelling??) and RCTW that are too simple or cartoony and you cannot customize much. PLC seems like the perfect balance between the two, and I think I'll end up purchasing it once it's out.
Risky
^ I wouldn't say RCTW was simple. A lot of people had trouble with the coaster editor.

A.J.
I don't think that we need to be able to put our own textures on the cars, but a plain, solid-color, graphic-free car design would be much appreciated.

I hope you can make your own custom car like in RCT3. I also hope you can add your own decals to trains. It would be awesome if there were RMC coasters. It would 've the first coaster game/simulation to include a RMC style. I also hope you can import coaster designs to NL2, so I can have a better visual experience riding coasters. MARK
^ Yes but the Coaster Head Club concept art showed the car sitting on box track. I imagine it's just placeholder for the demo... They've still got a year left! With their commitment to authenticity, I doubt they'll throw the RMC trains on the corkscrew track, RCT World style. For instance you couldn't get a normal Frisbee ride, they only had the TNT one. Or the Pirate Ship being so bulky and overthemed. I would be fine with all generic rides, and then just sprucing them up with scenery afterwards.

COASTER FREAK 11
Something that's interesting, they are dodging the question of adding custom content: With Planet Coaster, we're offering user-generated content in the box. We'll be providing you with hundreds of individual decorative components that you can use in the modular building system to create some truly spectacular and unique things. By doing this, we'll provide you with creative options that you've never had before to create your perfect park. We’re going to provide you with the ability to share your creations from inside Planet Coaster with other members of the community. Link I never created custom content for any game I've ever played. But I gladly downloaded custom content that other people made! LOL. I hope they will later on add the ability, or maybe the community requests could make them change their mind before the game launches in late 2016. Even if they don't, the community will find a way to add them. It's not really hard to install custom stuff on rcts of previous i don't think it will be for planet coaster. (Though it might be for rct world but who cares about that anymore)

JonnyRCT3
^ I love this terrain editor. Creating protruding terrain is something that's never been offered before, this creates many new possibilities. One of the little issues that I had with RCT3 was a common ride found in a lot of parks with a horrible theme or unchangeable colors. For instance you couldn't get a normal Frisbee ride, they only had the TNT one. Or the Pirate Ship being so bulky and overthemed. I would be fine with all generic rides, and then just sprucing them up with scenery afterwards. This is one of my biggest issues with Roller Coaster Tycoon World. With Planet Coaster's Modular building, it might be possible to transform any ride into exactly the look/theme you want. It's the small attention to detail and customization (not being locked into three or four different themes, UGH) that makes this game look all the more interesting. Those two features are critical in a sim/building game.
