thrillrider Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I have read a lot of crazy stories in my life, and this one has to be one of the strangest I have read. Read about it here.... http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/florida-woman-married-ferris-wheel-like-ride-loved-decades-article-1.1516404
CPSFMMCW Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I laughed the entire time I was reading that article. Its just so funny!
technfxrick Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 These people live among us... But it seems more of them seem to live in Florida than anywhere else.... What is it with your state
gerstlaueringvar Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Where's Outlaw Run? I want to get married!
Koasterking48 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) These people live among us... But it seems more of them seem to live in Florida than anywhere else.... What is it with your state I literally just read that a Floridian topless woman was assaulting people McDonalds because a worker wouldn't have sex with her... Not all of America's nutjobs live in Florida, but there certainly is a substantial amount in the South. I also have to wonder if object sexuality is more of a mental condition than a classification of romance or actual sexuality... Edited April 10, 2014 by Koasterking48
thrillrider Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 I just noticed something weird (but not quite as weird as the story itself) in this picture of the ride...look at the top of the wheel.
cfc Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Hey, it's not like she married some Magic Carpet ride or something--everybody lighten up!
robbalvey Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 These people live among us... But it seems more of them seem to live in Florida than anywhere else.... What is it with your state Hey, I live in Orlando, not Florida. There's a HUGE difference!
beatle11 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Hey, it's not like she married some Magic Carpet ride or something--everybody lighten up! I thought originally we were dealing with the same person. Evidently I was wrong.
thrillrider Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 ^ Same here. So now there are 2 people married to an amusement ride.
nannerdw Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHlPcvJnM6E Also that Skydiver in the picture... looks safe; I'd totally still ride it.
downunder Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I guess the bigger, more important question is: will Swedish law allow Wildfire at Kolmarden to be married to more than one person at the same time?
nannerdw Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I guess the bigger, more important question is: will Swedish law allow Wildfire at Kolmarden to be married to more than one person at the same time? I call dibs on the inverted stall.
OrlandoGuy Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 These people live among us... But it seems more of them seem to live in Florida than anywhere else.... What is it with your state Hey, I live in Orlando, not Florida. There's a HUGE difference! Quoted for truth. As an Orlando native and a UF grad, I can attest to the fact that Orlando and the rest of Florida are practically 2 different states (UF is located in Gainesville). Orlando is quite possibly the best city in the world. but yeah that lady is batsh*t crazy
PaTim Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 This is going to make for quite an awkward first honeymoon night. I mean, if you think about it, over 50% of all marriages end in divorce, and how do you think this lady is going to feel every single time the ferris wheel forgets her birthday and their anniversary? I give this relationship 2 years, tops. I really want to hear conservative radio and television offer their opinions on this.
gerstlaueringvar Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I don't think that's even a ferris wheel. It is probably the type of flat ride that the car are attached on the edge of a wheel and swing every time they reach 90 degrees up and 90 degrees down. As far as I remember, this type of ride is made by Chance Rides and is very extreme. What if they get divorced? The lady will get half of the cars and some metal beams and the ride gets half of their real estate?
KBrylczyk Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 These people live among us... At least this one won't be multiplying.
dippindotsguy8 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 These people live among us... At least this one won't be multiplying. True, most Chance Skydivers have reached sterility. They're definitely on the endangered list
coasterbill Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I just noticed something weird (but not quite as weird as the story itself) in this picture of the ride...look at the top of the wheel. I noticed that too, though I don't think that's the exact same wheel. Anyway.. I hate people.
Wily J Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I'm guessing she was on the rebound from a relationship with Barry H.
gerstlaueringvar Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 She probably married the ride to protect an endangered flat ride category. After all the park can't scrap her partner without her permission.
