The coaster is inspired by the most succesful Norwegian movie of all time, Flåklypa Grand Prix (1975), more specifically the iconic race car "Il Tempo Gigante" The train was hand-built by car enthusiasts in Munich. Hunderfossen has been the home of the full-scale promotional model of Il Tempo Gigante for many years, so it was really about time to make a coaster out of it. Tropical7 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Great coaster! I like the backstory to a classic, I look forward to riding it!
viking86 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 That train looks amazing, and the theme fits perfectly to a rollercoaster! Apparently the train will have sound and smoke effects to match the car in the movie, as can be seen in the video clip below. Sounds awesome! One of the greatest films of all time in Norwegian film industry... [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
gisco Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Cool theming to the train. Hope it stays that way and doesn't end up like Top Thrill Dragster and have part of it removed.

rctneil Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Very nice looking train. Loved a lot of the newer well themed trains that have been seen of late.
cal1br3tto Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Yeah, that's one awesome train. I see it's a Zierer, so that explains why it makes me think of Verbolten.
BDG Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Looks like a clone of the one at Schwaben Park, which is a Rollerskater on steroids. http://rcdb.com/8642.htm#p=0
thrillerman1 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 That's an absolutely beautiful looking train of what I'd say is on par with Disney quality if it all plays out accordingly. LOVE it! I couldn't help but think of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when I saw it. Thanks for sharing!
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Kind of Gerstlauerish lol. Zierer did a great job!
Nrthwnd Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 That's an absolutely beautiful looking train of what I'd say is on par with Disney quality if it all plays out accordingly. LOVE it! I couldn't help but think of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when I saw it. Thanks for sharing! Well damn, there's an idea for a future coaster and theme, Mark! I also love the look of the train and the layout is perfect for a family coaster.
gisco Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Looks like it will be a cool family coaster. Hope they will theme the area to match the cool looking trains.
Midgetman82 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 That train and coaster style looks super cool! Those tracks always looked to pull an immense amount of g's from how fast they seem to take those turns! I just hope there aren't too many parts too loose to cause them to come sailing off.
_koppen Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 Update! I've heard that the ride will only have one train. Still it has a switch track, so they should be able to add another one later, if they need. Source
Loefet Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Looks really nice, unfortunately I won't be riding it any time soon, even if it's close by in Norway About the switch-track, they might just want a proper maintenance area, so I actually doubt that we will see more than one train on it, still thinks that it might be plenty with just one.
raptor6 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 The coaster seems to be coming together quite nicely. I love the theming on the train! We need more of these unique family coasters in the States.

I asksed the park, it will start with one train, but there is the possibility of adding another one if there is a demand for it.
_koppen Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 So far there is only a photo of the ass on the train, but still LOOK AT THAT! Source
linearinduction Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Thanks for the Update _Koppen! The red and dark green looks really good.
jedimaster1227 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 That is one gorgeous contraption! And it looks like it'll be a fun coaster too!
