_koppen Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Because from the looks of it, it's just thinner, translucent surfaces that let in sunlight. Either way, it's still a really cool idea that more water parks should try. That is exactly what it is, a perfect maintenance free way to get awesome light effects that can come in any shape as well! Pepsi? Dr. Pepper is there, so it's all good...
thesman Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 So are those ringy dingy ding-a-ling dings actual lights? Because from the looks of it, it's just thinner, translucent surfaces that let in sunlight. Either way, it's still a really cool idea that more water parks should try. That bullet bowl and the other black and white cylindrical things make me happy. That exactly what it is. There called daylight rings.
Shanobee Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 It is a really cool water theme park …well done. I am based in Beijing working with the biggest property developer who is now in theme park developer….We still have a long way to learn from this …
_koppen Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 A great new flyover, did I mentioned earlier that this guy is awesome!? It can't be to long now until the Surf Safari ride starts to go up. And here's some new photos, a few days older than the video For toddlers This will most likely look a loot nicer in a couple of weeks! Something I don't like with Polin's straight mat racers is the lack of slope, they have to much straight section on the downhill parts, this one do however look really awesome Source
montezooma Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 The greatest thing about that video, besides showing how awesome the park is, is seeing me doing a dance and waving my arms on the patio at 3:55. How cool is the "Surfin' USA" mat racer???
Guy T. Koepp Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Shane, I am loving the look of that slide! Can't wait to see it in person.
_koppen Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 is seeing me doing a dance and waving my arms on the patio at 3:55. Lol, I actually noticed that, but I thought it was a random construction worker!
rcdude Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Every time I see new pictures of this place, my desire to visit gets stronger. It's a shame the park probably won't be ready for my visit to Las Vegas in late June, but this is a must visit the next time I am in Vegas post-opening.
urzishra Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Every time I see new pictures of this place, my desire to visit gets stronger. It's a shame the park probably won't be ready for my visit to Las Vegas in late June, but this is a must visit the next time I am in Vegas post-opening. I agree it is unfortunate that it doesn't look like it'll be open when I go in late June as well. As far as the project is concerned, It looks great. The slides look fantastic.
montezooma Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Today we announced the park will open in a month on July 4th…and with that announcement I am pleased to present this first exclusive look at “Surfin’ USA” the first face-first downhill UPHILL racer in America.
Robocoaster Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Fun! Thanks for the updates. A bigger thanks for persevering! Looks like a great antidote for Meh-N-Mild.
robbalvey Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 It's disappointing Shane that some of the customers on your Facebook page couldn't just be a *little* more understanding about all the challenges this project has gone through to bring so much fun to the local community, but I'm hopeful that those voices, while loud, are just the minority, and once the park is open people will quickly forget the delays and focus on the enjoyment! You've got our full support! --Robb
chargersmichael Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I don't know if anyone has heard of the water slide Music City Racer at Nashville Shores. It sits pretty high and there are just two drops to get to the bottom. The first one is a lot shorter than the second. When it opened in 2008, you went upwards after the first drop similar to this slide. However, due to the amount of people that would get stuck per day as they wouldn't be able to go over the "hump," they straightened the section in 2010. It was a very cool experience to go up and considering the "hump" on this slide is at the bottom of all of those drops, I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't get stuck as compared to the Music City Racer.

So impressed with everything. We can't wait to go to the Vegas park.
SharkTums Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 So excited for you Shane! Looks great, can't wait to check it out in person.
montezooma Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) Thanks Robb and Elisa. Anywho…this park is really coming together and I am so proud of the final product. Take a look at the ZumaZOOMa slide that is now being erected Edited June 17, 2014 by montezooma
robbalvey Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Wow! You guys have made a TON of progress just in the past week!
DoinItForTheFame Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 This park looks more and more amazing with each post. I can NOT get over the sheer size of this project. I can not wait to get back out to Vegas and try this out! Keep up the amazingly great work Shane!
Hhappy Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Looking forward to a future Vegas visit and checking out this place. Looks awesome
_koppen Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Everything looks awesome! The new Looping Rockets being built in Croatia impressed me with how tight Helix they had, but it looks like yours have one that is just as tight!
_koppen Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Also, Polin have updated their website to a new look and added these two photos of how the Surf Safari slide will look
Belgiumcoasterfreak Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I love this project and I can't understand why some trolls on facebook have to act that way. Some people just don't respect other people. Shane, you and your team are doing a great job and the waterpark looks outstandingly good. If something like this would be build in Belgium or Europe (sadly, we don't have the weather for that. But a Cowabunga Bay in Europe would be sweet *wink wink*), I would be so exited! I don't care that you had some delays. Like everybody mentioned before: every big project needs some time and gets delayed (Rome wasn't build in a day you know, lol imagine that). + this park is being build at a good speed now, it's real for crying out loud (remember al the big projects that never seen the daylight before...)! The trolls are basically spoil brats who aren't patient enough. This park looks and is awesome, I think you made yourself a goldmine in Vegas ! When I have the opportunity to visit Vegas (As a Euro-guy, Vegas is on my bucket list off course!), I would definitely visit Cowabunga Bay. Small question: is the Water playground , like the one in your park in Utah,Draper, coming to Vegas? I've seen it in the concept arts, but I haven't seen any construction of this structure yet .
_koppen Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 sadly, we don't have the weather for that. I actually think we definitely have the weather for it, someone (hopefully me one day) just needs the balls to build something like this over here. Small question: is the Water playground , like the one in your park in Utah,Draper, coming to Vegas? I've seen it in the concept arts, but I haven't seen any construction of this structure yet . I *think* that it will open in 2015, but obviously Shane will have to be the one answering that question.
