DarkRideNick Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 B&M Loops and GCI Banked Turns are all pretty awesome looking!
Meteornotes Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 How about this? (From rcdb.com) Yeah, I'll easily agree with this one! dt
cfc Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I've found that SLCs, even though they're lousy, painful rides for the most part, tend to be rather photogenic.
FeelTheFORCE Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 ^^ It's crazy to think about how much Wicked Twister has changed since it opened. The added supports and train modifications really make it look different to me at least. Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. I haven't seen WT with wheel covers in a long time. I had forgotten it even had them at one point! I've always been amazed at Son of Beast's massive structure. It's mesmerizing.
RCF Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Wicked's tower at Lagoon has always been appealing to me. They worked on the support structure to make sure it looked good.
Voxelmatic Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Hydra isn't the best B&M, but it sure is shmexy.
JJ728 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Throwin' it back to '98. And another one from 2000.
Voxelmatic Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 ^Can't see the second picture . I'm assuming MF?
scooterdoug Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 ^Can't see the second picture . I'm assuming MF? It's Riddler's Revenge @ SFMM. Interestingly, I can't see the first picture.
simaticable Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I can see both. The first picture is RR with the 1st Gen drop tower behind it.
Voxelmatic Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I can see it now! Very good looking indeed.
Revolve456 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Don't forget us in England, with the soon to be opened "The Smiler", including the world's first "staffordshire knot" (A batwing interlocked with a cobra roll)
SFMM fanboy Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 ^ Just when I thought roller coasters couldn't get any sexier.
Aceattack52 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I found some of the ones that I took over the past few years. Intimidator's hammer head looks pretty nice. This is just a nice picture. Oh, would you look at that. There's another nice one. This one is pretty interesting.
mike541x Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I always loved the cutback on Drachen Fire. Never ridden it, but I just love looking at it. Drachen Fire in general was such a beautiful roller coaster.
Tmcdllr Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Aceattack52, this is really a nice shot.... The reflection off the water really adds a nice touch.
Randomman295 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 If a B&M has an overbank, it qualifies for me.
Zem Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 The vertical spiral on Wicked Twister looks really nice just suspended up there:
Aceattack52 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Aceattack52, this is really a nice shot.... The reflection off the water really adds a nice touch. I have a few more like that if you're interested.
Koasterking48 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 ^^^ I actually thought Leviathan's turnaround was a little awkwardly shaped. It's probably just me.
Musketeer Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I love when there are lakes at theme parks just to get pictures like those! It makes the rides look so beautiful.
pyrocoasterkid Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 The vertical spiral on Wicked Twister looks really nice just suspended up there: Post by Musketeer » Thu Jan 31, 2013 12:48 am I have always thought this was quite cool too. However, apparently it was TOO "suspended up there" since they had to add the bracing for the spikes. And they still sway quite a bit. I can't imagine what it was like before!
