Coasting for Kids 2012 - Be part of Team TPR!

What is "Coasting For Kids?" It's a fundraiser sponsored by Cedar Fair with the proceeds going to Give Kids The World. In short, it's riding roller coasters for a GREAT cause!

Team TPR will consist of TPR members raising money while riding roller coasters. But we need riders! And this is where YOU come in!

We need as many TPR members as possible who are willing to ride a coaster at a Cedar Fair park for six hours. You'll register your donation page at the links below, and get as many of your fellow TPR members, co-workers, family, friends, FaceBook friends, Twitter followers, etc to donate to your page. Top riders who get the most donations will get some cool stuff, too!

Team TPR Members will also receive a signature banner with a direct link to your donations page.

Below are the links to start your donations page for the Cedar Fair park you wish to be a rider at. Simply click the link, go through the registration process, make SURE you affiliate yourself with Team TPR, and then reply to this thread with a link to your donations page so we can help promote it!

There is a tax deductible, $25 registration fee that will fully be donated to Give Kids The World. That fee will also include your event T-Shirt, ERT on a roller coaster (TBD) on June 10th, food and drinks the day of the event. You do not need to worry about park admission.

This should be a lot of fun for a great cause, so I recommend everyone participate!

Meal: Continental breakfast provided. Lunch 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Backlot Cafe; 1 entree and drink of your choice

Awards Ceremony: 2 p.m. at Backlot Cafe

1st place individual fundraiser: VIP Tour for Four ($1,469 CDN value)

2nd place individual fundraiser: Four tickets for Halloween Haunt plus dinner at the Marketplace International Buffet ($216 CDN value)

Participants will be split into groups, with one-hour shifts on each roller coaster. Riders will fill-in empty/single rider seats on each train.

Knott's Berry Farm

Hopefully I'll be able to participate again this year! Had a blast last year and because of the experience, I'll never look at Jaguar the same way again .

Christian and Rhiannon REALLY want to do this. I guess we would have to go with Carowinds. The downside is we would have to give up our Dollywood trip, this summer.

Since I would be signing up to do it with them - what's Thunder Road like? It looks a bit rattly.

^Remember, even if you don't live near a Cedar Fair park (we don't!), you can still participate by donating and participating vicariously through others!

I'll even send out some TPR Stuff to people who donate to our Team TPR Riders!

If you remember back to when I worked with Special Olympics we did a fundraiser where I had people from the site donate then I would give them TPR Stuff for their donation! We'll do something similar this time!

You don't have the "marathon" the ride. The donation is a flat amount, not "per lap."
