Went through all the pages and can't believe no one mentioned the cinematic masterpiece, Getting Even With Dad.

The clip below features a few amusement type attractions including:

California Academy of Sciences (the old one before it was rebuilt)

California's Great America - Features Demon, Top Gun, Revolution, Barney Oldfield and Centrifuge.

Waterpark - Raging Waters? Waterworld? I can't tell.

Scandia in Rohnert Park, CA

According to Wikipedia (note the disclaimer):

The park gained much public notice when the Clampett family of CBS-TV's The Beverly Hillbillies decided to pay a visit to Silver Dollar City to start off the 1969-1970 season. The plotline involved Granny (Irene Ryan) attempting to find a husband for Elly May (Donna Douglas) back in the hills, while Jed (Buddy Ebsen) socialized with hotel clerk Shorty Kellems (Shug Fisher). They visited the blacksmith Shad Heller, soapmaker Granny Ethel Huffman, and woodcarver Peter Engler, and Miss Hathaway (Nancy Kulp) was seen in the Ozark woods. The Hillbillies were from the area surrounding Silver Dollar City and Branson, and references to Jim Owens and his White River float trip business and some Missouri mountain locations were made throughout the show's nine-year run. Five episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies were eventually shot in the park.

On July 5, 2007, Silver Dollar City was featured in an episode of the soap opera As The World Turns.

For those less familiar with SDC history, in 1969 the park had no roller coasters and only a couple of rides. It was still focused on the craftsmen, shops, etc., and still operated on a free entrance, pay per ride model. The new ride that season was Jim Owens' Float Trip, a boat ride with animatronics. The ride was remodeled sometime in the 1980s into the log flume American Plunge, which still operates. I can't find an exact date, and it was before my first trip there in 1988.

Thankfully, you can now say that Manhattan Express gets "destroyed" in this movie! Could this possibly be the BEST use of a ride in any movie...ever???

^This may be Godzilla's finest accomplishment--and proof that he is a force for good.

^^ If Godzilla will stomp straight down on the Spaghetti bowl section of the ride during the movie, I'm going to see it for sure.

I also love the fact that Godzilla destroyed the smaller Statue of Liberty in Vegas!

I must say, Godzilla actually looks really good. Really didn't have much hopes for this movie when I first heard about it but after seeing the trailer, I'm now cautiously optimistic about it.

Being a fan of the cheesy Godzilla movies of the 60's and 70's I'm looking forward to it. It can't be worse than the Roland Emmerich Godzilla with Matthew Broderick which was horrible.

Haha, that's exactly what I was thinking. Now I wonder how many people are going to assume there is (or was) a roller coaster around the real Statue of Liberty.

The new movie could be 102 minutes of Godzilla sitting taking a dump and it would be better than the Matthew Broderick version!!!

This movie does look very good so far. How about we do a big list of rides we would love to see Godzilla stomp a mud hole in?

As posted here before Bud Spencer did two of his "clobber movies" which were filmed in part at SFoG in 1979 and 1980:

- The Sheriff and the Satellite Kid (1979)

- Everything Happens to Me (1980)

An episode of the German crime movie series "Tatort" ("Crimescene") was shot at Tripsdrill and featured the then new Mammut extensively:

- Der Schrei (2009)

And wonder if it was mentioned before: The Hulk Hogan vehicle Thunder In Paradise was filmed all over the WDW Resort featuring The Grand Floridian extensively - but also having bits from MK, Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

I can't watch the video, but is there a new Godzilla coming out?

Is there a reason why you make some of the WORST most dumbest posts on the forum?!?!?

I don't know why that is dumb? Honestly. I can't watch the video, I didn't know there was a new Godzilla coming out, why does this make my posts dumb?

1. It's pretty much what everyone on my social networks have been talking about for the past 48 hours. So either you don't read the internet or you can't read.

2. It's being discussed other places on this forum and if you're couldn't figure it out from the posts before you, you're dumb.

Seriously, your posts are terrible. Clean it up or you're going to be banned from our forums.

How about that old monster flick The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms? The creature ends up at The Pike and dies amid the burning of The Cyclone Racer Coaster? Also there was an episode of Leave It To Beaver where they went to Coney Island I believe. Eddie Hasckle gets scared on the wooden coaster after teasing Beaver about being scared to ride. Not sure if it was Coney Island but it looked like Cyclone.
