ernierocker Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Love the Europa Park model of the new GCI coaster! If I remember correctly, this was actually done by one of the guys from GCI right?
BeemerBoy Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 It's a shame your name tag still says Valencia.
CoasterCard Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 ^^ Chris Gray with GCI has been building models for quite some time and did every bit of the Europa Model. Extremely impressive.
ernierocker Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 ^^ Chris Gray with GCI has been building models for quite some time and did every bit of the Europa Model. Extremely impressive. Yeah, I thought so! Definitely impressive and amazing attention to details!
Meteornotes Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Hooray for more photos! High Five!! This is going to be really 'cool'! Live penguins?!? Hint hint Sea World!! Elissa's two favorite men. Lots of Domo plush!!! That is a very big, very angry bird! Outside at IAAPA S&S is showing off their new Mini Hu! It works like an "inverted" swing ride, very cool! Robb Alvey and Sandor Kernacs talk Lex Luthor and Sky Rush.
cfc Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) I had a nice chat with Mr. Kernacs at the I305 media day. He was quite pleased with the readings he was getting on his radar gun as train zipped through the course. I'm intrigued by the new coaster going in at Legoland Billund. Being as I live in Williamsburg, I'm especially keen on seeing these Zierer rides succeed. Edited November 15, 2011 by cfc

harper83087 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Awesome coverage! That Europa model is fantastic, I love how that thing will interact with a lot of the rides and paths around it.
Nrthwnd Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) In that first photo of WhiteWaters... What happens in that blue 'thing' near the end of the slide run, on the right side? On the left, I can figure it out, but on the right? Still awesome reporting, guys! Edited November 15, 2011 by Nrthwnd
ernierocker Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) ^I was wondering the same thing about the blue slide! It looks like you head into at a 90 degree angle to the entrance of the actual element and then another 90 degree turn leaving the element. Just not sure what the actual element is! Maybe, just two high-banked turns? Edited November 15, 2011 by ernierocker
Nrthwnd Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 ^^ Actually, I was thinking something more along the lines of actually going upside-down in that thing - a few times and then into the last section of the slide outside of it? But then I just realized - the (probable) legality of that 'element'. Probably not that, then. So - high banked turns may be what that does.
ernierocker Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 ^Well, this is being installed in China!
Nrthwnd Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 ^ You know? You may be right! But still. OTSR & HELMETS worn on the rafts, LOL!
Meteornotes Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 More photos! S&S had a new kiddie ride - the "MiniHu" which was like a teacup frog hopper! Really fun! Let's check out the outdoor section. TPR is going to try out the Soaring Eagle zipline! Inflatables, ziplines, and more on the Magical Midway! Hooray for the flying Hanno!
eBen Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 ^I was wondering the same thing about the blue slide! ... Maybe, just two high-banked turns? If its not high speed I think the motion would be like a half pipe that the raft edges it way towards the exit. Except it has a lid so it would be a full pipe. Theres a good collection of models at this show, im very impressed
donkeyman18 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Who's green lantern car is that? Looks sweet! I belive that is for australlia
