Teddymonster Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Screamscape posted this site featuring this guy who struck a deal with CP to recreate MF. $79 bucks if you want this puppy. http://toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050903/BUSINESS06/50903051
robbalvey Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 ^ Wow, that's kind of cool. If I collected coaster stuff I would probably get one! --Robb
SLUSHIE Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 That looks prett cool. I don't know why, but I thought the title read Millenium Falcon at first.
Kroger8 Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I think Ms. Sanderson is right... I wouldn't buy it for $80. Maybe $30.
PhishyBrewer Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Where's the Paddle Wheel Boat in the canal?
ahecht Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Now if you made a SFNE S:RoS, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
CoasterEricHP Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I'd pay $80 for that if I had a big office and earned lots of money.. However seeing as I dont ever really want to sit in an office all day and that means I'll probably never have a lot of money.. then yeah.. Ebay or something. Anyways, It's a cool idea. I've always liked models of things like that.. there is a company that makes mini baseball stadiums. Pretty cool to look at. Eric
M_Force_4_ever Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 woah thats awesome, I have to get one of those!!!!!
socalMAN123 Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 That looks really cool! The detail on it is amazing. I agree with Eric, I would only buy it if I worked in a big office and made lots of money. ---Brent 8)
YoshiFan Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Looks cool but $80 seems like a lot. I could buy a few Knex coaster kits for that much.
verticalzero Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 The model looks great, nice detail. I went on this 2 months after it opened, flew 3000+ miles just to ride this coaster. I've emailed the company to see how much it costs to ship to the UK. Imagine your fav coaster in mini detail. "The Beast", "Nito", "Thunderhead" "Top Gun" etc. Even the coasters which have been torn down. "Crystal Beach", "Wildcat". Make a model of "Goliath" at Six Flags Holland. Wonderfull Idea.
coasterguy618 Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I really want one. They should make a line of mini coaster models. That would be sweet.
verticalzero Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Hey - coasterguy618 What's Nitro like to ride for real as i've only see the Video which Robb has put on the site, it looks good with lots of airtime.
bluemen Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Anyone else see something slightly ironic about a $80 Intamin paperweight?
coasterfreak11 Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 If it was a working MF paperweight, I'd pay $80 for it. Twenty dollars and I would definitely buy it.
DRWP2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 That is really cool...I might end up getting one...(Christmas isn't too far away lol) But it would be really cool to see like a line of them get made. It wouldbe really cool to see a bunch of the Cedar Point roller coasters made. It would be neat to see how a wooden roller coaster would look too.
DragonKhan Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Dude! That's your opinion then, so don't buy it, but don't judge other people because of that! I'm a huge MF Fan and it has been MY #1 since the first time I've ridden it, so I have good reason and might even get one...
FlyingScooter Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I can't say much about Danbury, but the Franklin Mint Civil War chess set i've got is fantastic. ( my mom got it for me for a bday present the year before she died.) The detail is incredible. Some people collect things, others don't. No sweat.
Nrthwnd Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I have two castles from Lennox collectibles. One is the 'castle' in Camelot and the other is Falkenstein - a castle that Ludwig of Bavaria (That Ludwig) was supposed to have built after he completed Neuschwanstein. (supposed) Real plans were found, so Lennox had it created, as designed. Detail is really amazing on some of these miniatures, so the MFmini might be nice to have in a coaster collection. Also, some of these companies go for three-monthly-payments or so. But this might be a one-payment-only deal. You never know.
robbalvey Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Whoever buys it is not very bright. -Cal Just like people who plaster Patriot crap all over their profile? --Robb
Teddymonster Posted September 10, 2005 Author Posted September 10, 2005 (edited) Awwww, sounds like someone got served! Robb and his buds stickin' it to OzCatter Edited September 12, 2005 by Teddymonster
