jray21 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Can't wait to have some snowballs and orange cupcakes again!
imawesome1124 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 ^ I was about to say, screw the Twinkies and give me some Snowballs!
yay101 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 ^But I love Twinkies! Actually does anyone like Zingers? Those are the best and no one I know has heard of them.
yay101 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 A Zinger is a cake with creme filling and icing. My favorite is vanilla cake with vanilla icing, it's basically a Twinkie with vanilla icing. They also come in chocolate and raspberry flavors. Twinkies are great, but they don't stand a chance to Zingers. Here is what it looks like:
Nrthwnd Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Only less than a year - till my next TPR Awesome BigButt Overseas Coaster/Themepark Tour. Sacndi, Scandi, Scandi, Scandi, SCANDI! That is all. I am happy.
SuperShawn Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Only 3 days of work stand between vacation and me.
Blue Fire Guy Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Today I got my 50th credit, and tomorrow I have 2 hours of night ERT (passholders only) on Gold Striker!
Angry_Gumball Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Said it in WCB thread but will say it here since I've been ecstatic all day today...I finally moved forward and signed up for WCB 2013, both parks! This will be my first ever WCB and I think it's going to turn out awesome! I'm really looking forward to my weekend getaway from the Bay (and snag some credits too)! And ^ Yes...Gold Striker Fever! I seriously can't wait to 'unwind' after what will be a crazy day at work...unwind via riding your favorite coaster!
cmullin Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I just started planning my next big roller coaster trip!
JJLehto Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Well: I am finally moving out, for real, this week. I'll be seeing California the first week of September, including the WCB. I should be starting school imemdiately after, to take some pre reqs so I can apply for a masters next year. Also sometimes during the next 2 months I'm gunna get to Lake Compounce again, SFNE for the first time, knock out the Cyclone and that woodie in Clementon (drawing a blank) and get to PA sometime to see my old college buds, get drunk, and hit up Knoebels...sober of course for that one. So yeah, a good few months coming up for me. And I've been feeling more confident and trying to come out of my shell, which actually WCB should help as well since I'll be seeing nothing but new people. At the moment life is good
SuperShawn Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 It's my friday night, feeling relaxed and half a bottle of wine into a care free evening.
imawesome1124 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I FINALLY thought up some new lyrics after not writing any for well over a month. This is a really good feeling, now I just need to find some motivation to start playing my drums again.
SuperShawn Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Starting my days off with an Outlaw Run mug full of rum and happy.
cal1br3tto Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 ^Same, except with coffee. Though I have been known to use my Six Flags cup to start off my night.
SuperShawn Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 ^ Six Flags does drive one to drink. Just think of it as a Six Shots cup
imawesome1124 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I finished a song!!! I wrote this in less than an hour, and I'm really proud of it. The song's called "Drowning" Living life on a sea Of cold misery A never-ending bad memory Feel the waters rise The fear paralyze Lost adrift in my demise Now I'm treading water, drowning All the fear and guilt surrounding Pull me out before I get pulled down As I'm looking for the shore I get pulled under more and more I'd cling to hope, but there is none to be found. The nightmare's found me The waves crash around me I'm in over my head As I cry out in pain It's all in vain Won't be long before I'm dead Because I'm treading water, drowning All the fear and guilt surrounding Pull me out before I get pulled down As I'm looking for the shore I get pulled under more and more I'd cling to hope, but there is none to be found What hope is there for me to see another day? When everything I love has fallen away If there is hope for me, send me a sign A reason for me to stay and fight What hope is there for me? Been drowning for so long The current starts to pull me along I see you up ahead, standing at the shore Now I've found what I've been looking for No longer treading water, drowning No more fear or guilt surrounding Been pulled out, and I won't get pulled down As I'm standing on the shore I've found what I've been looking for Now I can plant my feet on solid ground No longer drowning The hopelessness inside is gone No longer drowning I've found the will to carry on Song meaning: This song talks about my personal struggle with faith. I was born and raised Catholic and am today, but there was a time when I strayed away. Everything seemed hopeless and I felt lost, like I was drowning. Recently my faith has been renewed, and I no longer feel that way.
djboss302 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I'm happy because I'm going to Holiday World in a week!
Nrthwnd Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I finally bought myself a copy of one of the versions of Holst's The Planets, by the Montreal Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Charles Dutoit. Been wanting this for years and years. Why I never got it sooner I have no idea. But I got it now!
SuperShawn Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 ^ Great series of Symphonies! Having the biggest happiest glass of rum in the world to wind down right now. It's perfect.
UrbanLegend Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 If you're in the mood for having a completely idiotic grin spread across your face, listen to , the self-described "Human Horn." It brings me joy to listen to his... unique brand of scat singing. Particular favorites include "hoppy poppy poppy" and "shplaaaaaa."
