CoasterJunkie Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Well I bit the bullet and paid 2.69 this morning. Highest I saw was $2.89 at the local Super Walmart. Now we are getting reports that some of the places are out of gas and are closed. So where are ya and how much are you paying? Are you having trouble getting gas yet?
derwood Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 There are a couple of stations in Indy that are at 3.25-3.50....most are 2.79-2.89. I filled up my Honda yesterday for 2.49. Daron "very happy he bought an Accord instead of the SUV" Aldrich
PhishyBrewer Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I've been paying $3.00+ for weeks here in California.
Hattuchili Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Here in Bremen (Germany) I have to pay 1.32 Eur for 1 liter. That is 4.99 Eur for 1 gallon. Okay, that means 4.99 Eur = 6.16 USD for 1 gallon normal gas! Is there anyone who have to pay more? --Sören
CoasterCrazy Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I had to wait almost 15 min to fill my car up today! It costed me $22.24, I always try to fill my car up at a half of a tank. There is already a gas price thread. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1143&highlight=gas+price
crispy Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Yeah, but it think this has more to do with the disaster, and what is hapeneing in regards to that
SharkTums Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I paid $2.80 two weeks ago, last week it was down to $2.76, and Monday it was up to $2.86 because of Katrina. This is the time I'm glad I have a 3 mile commute to work! $35 to fill up my Corolla's tank
FlyingScooter Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 It's 3.09 in Cleveland Oh. Glad i filled up this morning. .61 cent increase. Yep, time to buy groceries before they go up in price. the cost of diesel went up to 3.62 here today as well. Flying(Let's show'em who's boss. Let's go on a roadtrip!)Scooter.
disneygurlz2s Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 $35 to fill up my Corolla's tank Girl!! I have a Corolla too! What year is yours?? Mine's an '04, got rid of a Sienna minivan a year ago in June and damn glad now I did. The status of a mini van or SUV or whatever is not worth going broke. Shari "gas jumped to over $3 here in Cincy today for the first time" Shoufler
SharkTums Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 ^Mine is also a 2004!!!! Awww, we're like Corolla sisters! And we can even invite Robb into the bunch, he has an 05!
QuakerOaties Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 My dad just paid $40 to fill up his tank with special. Mark "Ouch" Luskus
DragonKhan Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Here in Bremen (Germany) I have to pay 1.32 Eur for 1 liter. That is 4.99 Eur for 1 gallon. Okay, that means 4.99 Eur = 6.16 USD for 1 gallon normal gas! Is there anyone who have to pay more? --Sören Yeah exactly. Most Americans need to change their "car habbits". In other words. Don't drive EVERYWHERE (use your bike to see your neighbor), don't buy SUV's and trucks (drivers of them are the ones who complain the most), and try to realize that the rest of the world pays about twice as much...
Imhotep Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Im probably going to be trading in my gas hog this week, Im sure going to miss it though . gas prices are rediculous!! $44 dollars got me just under 3/4 of a tank!! Granted I have to use 93 octane, but thats still rediculous.
Angry_Gumball Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Gas just reached $3.00 a gallon but I paid $2.79 yesterday morning...If only cars could be powered by methane...
USRoadTripper Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I remember just a few years ago (2001 maybe) that I got $.85 per gallon gas in rural Georgia! Nice to think about the good ole' days of paying $14 to fill up my car versus the more than $30 now! I'm just glad my big coaster road trip is out of the way for this year! -Julie (Not USRoadTripping any time soon)
smells_like_team_disney Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 And we can even invite Robb into the bunch, he has an 05! Does that make Robb and me Corolla brothers ? Anyway, I filled up my '05 model (at $2.74/gallon) for $27 last night.
Wackyboxer Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I stopped and filled up our van this morning at $2.79. This afternoon when I picked my kids up from school the same station had it at $3.19. There are at least a couple of stations in South Bend that are at $3.49. Of an equal or even greater concern to many of us in the north is the expected huge rise in the cost of heating oil for this winter. It's going to be scary.
BarryH Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 ^^I got a Prizm. Can I join the Corolla gang? Anyway, gas in SW Florida is $2.72/gallon for the cheap stuff. I expect that figure to rise soon.
ParkTrips Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 $4+ in some places of north Georgia. Most I saw in person was $3.99 in Douglassville
Kroger8 Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 On Fox News today it said that Greenville SC had the lowest gas prices at $2.42, but every station in the area has gone up to around $2.99 except one, at $2.79. In Easley at least.
ebl Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 It's in the $2.85 and up range here in Ventura County. Believe it or not, I can get over 30mpg in my CR-V if I take a long road trip. Not bad for a small SUV. Eric
Imhotep Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I just saw on the news.. over 5 dollars in ATL for the CHEAP stuff!! That gas station had to be by the airport or something, usually gas is more expensive by airports.
Token Yankee Guy Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Gas prices here jumped 21 cents from yesterday. There's a gas station that has gas for 3.49 down in Danbury. Craiggers "Remembers the days when the gas prices here didn't start with a 2!" K.
