Chittlins Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 This really looks like fun! It is certainly no Intamin, though, even though it looks exactly like an Intamin. All I can say, though is poor Intamin! They came up with the wing rider first, only for B&M to come up with it later, and sell more. Now, they have the launch coasters and mega-lites, of which I believe Mack is ripping off. One thing I have noticed is how companies with noteriety for being unreliable tend to be the more innovative companies, like Vekoma and Intamin, while reliable companies tend to wait for other companies to come up with ideas, only to just build on them? However, since this is the way engineering improves, I guess there isn't anything too negative about this. Yet, I do believe this is something that should be considered. Maybe is as simple as pricing or a whole host of other varibles.
AstroDan Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Well Mack seem to have a lot of these launched and/or mega coasters on the cards. Blue Fire, Manta and Storm already built - and a new one coming to Nigloland (TBC) in a year or two, and one for the Winter Olympic Park in Russia. It's like Blue Fire came around, and only two-three years later are other parks finally buying in!
matteocrepaldi Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I'm really excited about this! I hope they open it soon next year! And also if they keep the level of theming of the rest of the park for Storm as well it's going to be really amazing.
BaMiTsPaT Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I love the placement of the inversion! It really took me by surprise while watching, and I'd imagine the GP will have no idea it's coming. I can't wait to see a trip report from this park.
australianalex Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Wow, I had no idea construction had started on this yet, let alone finished!
attack7 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I love the placement of the inversion! It really took me by surprise while watching, and I'd imagine the GP will have no idea it's coming. I can't wait to see a trip report from this park. I agree, the Blue Fire-esque inversion at the end has me wetting my pants a little bit. Love the way that makes you feel and has everyone screaming.
scbt Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 (edited) oops... nevermind Edited July 27, 2012 by scbt
TXman308 Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 ^That was posted on the last page. Can't wait for the reviews of this ride, and hopefully (unlike the mega-lites), one of these comes to the U.S. soon.
Kooky Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 The track of the mine train is completed, too. Hopefully they will add the theming from the artworks, but i think it will be enough time till next year to get it done. Here are some pics from www.parksmania.it/:
_koppen Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 That looks really good if you ask me! Lets hope it ride as good as it look. Can we maybe do an "Etnaland" thread of this one?
DBru Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 The first drop reminds me of a slow-building Schwarzkopf drop. Nice!
ernierocker Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Some decent height on that one! Very interesting park that has sort of kept under the radar.
Jerrykoala2112 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I like this ride because there is a Polish flag in the first photo
CpBluestreakCp Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Didn't know a lot about this park until today. Something really to keep my eye on since it's turning out to be a great, little park.
Kooky Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 a video (english subtitled) interview from the park with pics of the new attractions (it`s seems to get a lot more stuff, like a disc-o-coaster, kiddie coaster, topspin and more... so it`s really nearly a new park ):
Hhappy Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 How about another picture from this ride? from the parks facebook page
A.J. Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I kind of like the idea of a less-aggressive Mega Lite-style coaster, even if I've never ridden one to compare.
DBru Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 That's one storm I wouldn't mind getting caught in the middle of. Hehehehe
Anac0nda Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Wow that's pretty! To be honest, even after Bluefire and Helix, I still wasn't quite sure about the whole MACK megacoaster -thing. But now seeing this it made me realize that MACK has a hit in their hands. And if the trains and track continue to stay as comfortable and awesome as Bluefire (according to everyone who has ridden it) I could see a great future for this new type of coasters.
Hhappy Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 New picture was just posted The last roll will be the grand finale when riding The Storm!
JayTricky Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 That is one pretty coaster. That shade of blue is so picture friendly.
galahad Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Here's the link on Parksmania.it with some really cool youtube footage by peppe2994: shot on the opening day there are videos of the entire park seen from their sky ride, the storm off-ride and their cool dark ride the school, hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting a link, enjoy... http://www.parksmaniaclub.it/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3238&start=1410r
