I hate spammers. I know, I'm a hypocrite considering my title but seriously. The super-spammers get on my nerves. You know, the ones who just post sex, sex, sex and expect to get away with it. There seems to be more of them then ever and they are just p***ing me off at the moment. Stupid one posting, no gooding, dumb a$$ super spamming spammers.

I have a long list of rants, so if your reading this, go to the bathroom now, because it'll be a while...

Personalized License Plates:

It's not the plates themselves that annoy the hell out of me. Some are cool, witty, and sometimes a little dirty. Where my beef is, in California you have seven digits to work with, including spaces. If you can't fit a message in those seven digits, DON'T GET THE DAMN THING!! I mean, if it's for other people to read, what's the point of getting one if YOUR the only person who knows what it means? If you buy your daughter a car and get her plates that read "LUV4JEN", you can figure out the premise for that. but something like "BLMGEMY" (Black Man Gettin' Money) Who's gonna know? YOU? If it can't fit in the seven digits, just get a damn decal sticker on the back windshield. It cost less and you have more space. Idiots.

Carpool Lanes.

A Woman who is driving her 13 year old son to soccer practice, ten year old daughter to ballet rehersal and 5 year old son to daycare can use the carpool lane....legally. I ask, WHY? Do any of her passengers help allieviate traffic? Are the people she is carpooling with taking any cars off the road and cause less driving? No. The carpool lane should be reserved for two more more LICENSED DRIVERS. That's what a carpool is, a collective of motorists who alternate the task of driving to lower the amounts of cars on the road. Driving little brats around not only doesn't help, but probably causes UNNECESSARY driving.

Handicaped/Disabled Passes at Amuesment Parks (Or Neglect Thereof)

Period point blank. If you don't like waiting in line. Don't go. Spend the day at a jungle gym, or Shakey's. Go for a walk on the beach, but don't go to a large crowd, complain how big the crowd is, then neglect a system for disabled people, then complain when you find out the system doesn' allow you to get "right on" to rides. Jackasses.

Black Guys With Mohawks

Since Puffy did it, now everyone thinks it's cool? Machine heads who take the time to grow elaborate mohawks look cool. People who grow their hair out for three weeks and get a fade and leave a tuft of hair on the top of their heads look like douchebags.

People in L.A. complaining about high gas prices.

If gas is still so high, why is the 405 still the world's biggest parking lot everyday at 5pm? Why does it take me an hour to get to Dodger Stadium when I only live 11 miles away? Why is there still drag racing and crusing on Crenshaw Blvd?

I really detest MTV. Was watching the VMA's (which I BARELY sat through) with my roommates tonight and came across these shows during the commercials...

"I want to be Paris Hilton's BFF"

"Shot at Love with Tila Tequila"

"My Super Sweet 16"

"The Hills"

WTF is that and who would watch such trash? How insulting to viewers for MTV to think that people think this is actual entertainment.

MTV is just awful now... I mean, just AWFUL. It isn't even about the music anymore and hasn't been for the last decade. The only thing I would even consider watching on that channel would be the "My Super Sweet 16: EXILED" where those brats are sent to the middle of nowhere to get taught a lesson on how obnoxious they are, and how they shouldn't take their parents for granted. That'll be hilarious... watching them get what they deserve (not some Mercedes or 100,000 dollar party)

And also, during the VMA's, ALL of the "artists" that were nominated sucked! Britney Spears (who actually won), Tokio Hotel (they are from Germany and only 10 year old children listen to that garbage) Miley Cyrus, etc. Man... it seems like ANYONE can get a record deal these days. Just stick a pretty girl/guy on stage and have them lipsync and that qualifies as music. Maybe I should take all my clothes off and start singing about making out with dudes... it worked for that Katy chick (who sings the song "I Kissed a Girl"), and she obviously has no talent. By the way, she used to be a Christian singer but that didn't sell any records so she became a trashy whore. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. Just goes to show what society values these days: SEX and MONEY rather than style, talent and originality.

Developers that try to pull the wool over my eyes being lazy. One told me to implement a simple change he had to jump through all kinds of hoops. I used to be one too (well not a lazy programmer, unless I found a tool to save me time), don't try it.

I sent him 3 lines of code and said "Stop making it harder than it is."

Not sure if this is the place to post this, but what is up with the PORNOGRAPHIC SPAM? These past few days there have been a lot of these dirty posts. Thanks to the moderators they are taken off quickly...but still, there are people on this forum that are under 18! Something needs to be done about this problem...

"There annoying!" (Thelegendarymatthew)

People who don't know the difference between "they're," "their," and "there." So there.

Rant-o-the-day... those steel poles next to ATMs and drive-thru windows. I realize that they don't want you to take out the corners of the building, the window, the ATM, etc., but why don't they put the poles a little closer to the building? I've actually scraped my car at a McDonald's drive-thru because in order to get close enough to the window so I (or they) don't drop my food or change (which has happened), I have to pull in my side mirrors to do so.

People really need to put their seat belts on and keep them on when driving. I was on the way to the gym and passed an accident with a dead body out on the highway. You can look at the accident and tell he wasn't wearing his... he looked like he was ejected from his car (a common theme with accidents down in South Florida). One of my friends tells me that he doesn't wear his and I said I'll never ride with him, and I won't start my car unless he puts his on. I'll also stop the car for anyone that takes theirs off.

This is serious business and there's a reason to wear seatbelts.

^On a related note, I hate tailgaters. There's no good reason to compromise safety by riding my ass while going 75 MPH. It's not that I don't want to get to my destination fast. It's just that I leave this thing called a "safe, assured distance" in front of me. That way if the cars in front of me suddenly stop, I don't wreck into them for lack of stopping distance.

So, yeah, when you notice me slow down a good 15-20 MPH in response to your sociopathic driving, that's on purpose. And, no I won't get out of my lane either. Have fun trying to pass me on the right! And, if you honk at me or make obscene gestures, that just means I've won because your monkey ass got mad and now you've got high blood pressure. Better go get some beta blockers, stat!

^ AMEN. I am the EXACT same way. The only time I don't mind yielding to someone quickly approaching from behind is when the road is fairly empty, there's plenty of time to change lanes and give up the fast lane, and they don't act like it's the Autobahn by flashing their lights on approach.

When some douchebag flies up behind me and sits while it's perfectly clear that traffic is heavy and passing me won't accomplish anything, then trust me, I'm not budging one bit.

Yeah, on a relatively clear highway I'll usually yield to the speeder. I figure whatever cops up ahead are less likely to worry about me going 5 MPH over the speed limit when they've got that jackass going 95 MPH to pull over. One of my favorite things in life is to see some idiot who was riding my bumper a few minutes ago pulled over to the side of the rode getting written a ticket.

Another peeve of mine is when you let that speeder over on the clear highway and then they see the open road (aka first in line to get pulled over by the highway patrol) and consequently slow down to below the speed they were tailgating you at. WIMP!

A few days ago I'm driving home at night on a three lane freeway. There are very few cars on the road, so it is basically wide open. A guy comes right up and hangs out maybe 8 inches from my rear bumper. Now I'm in the slow lane (doing 5 over the limit for the record). There is nobody in either of the other lanes, so passing me would have been easy. We passed an exit so he was wanting to get off. He just felt it necessary to draft behind me.

^I was in the middle lane doing a little over the speed limit with no other cars in the other lanes and a car decides to tailgate me and throw on his brights. My answer:

I slam on the brakes and watch him fly into another lane swerving.

Don't play.

Terry

Yeah, that's a tactic I used to practice as well until I found out that if the tailgating moron loses control and splatters himself on a tree, I go to prison for vehicular manslaughter or a similar offense.

So now I just enjoy writing their tag numbers down and informing the local law enforcement that they have an idiot on their roads. That's much more entertaining and effective.

^Not as fun though. Besides most of the people don't pay enough attention on the rode and they'll just see that fool swerving around. Even the newspapers down here have a template that has the words: "high rate of speed", "lost control", etc. Most of the time they do that and no one's around.

I wonder how many of those the police would actually follow up on down here. Not much I imagine, unless there is actually a highway patrol officer on the highway, which usually only one or two for a 20 mile stretch of highway between Miami and Ft Lauderdale. Even then, they're too busy trying to keep people from crashing through the new express lane pylons because they weren't paying attention that the lane doesn't exit for 7 miles. They they crash through them, causing undercarriage damage and then into the regular traffic, causing an accident.

And that's with signs for the previous 3 miles pointing at the lane saying express lane only... no exit for 7 miles.

Saturday night, coming home from the bar, I'm always in the next to far right lane doing the under the speed limit, because drivers are always flying down towards Miami and there's a 50% chance you'll go over a hill on the overpass and there will be a car embedded in the wall. The chance goes up if it was raining and there's a patch of water on the road near 195 exit. Those get real nasty.
