The "Rant" Thread

I hate it when you have to wait 45 minutes for your mates to go on the ride they want to (even though the birthday girl doesn't want to go on it) and then they won't wait 5 minutes for you to go on a ride that you want to go on.

And when your mates walk off whilst you are on a ride (see above) and then would have left the park without saying goodbye if you hadn't have rang them.

Some friends are poo...

How come every time the third subject in "Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & ..." gets changed, somebody feels the need to create a thread about it?

Maybe I'm just irritable today because of lack of sleep...

You're not the only one, then again, I just go with the flow and post in them anyways.

I guess today was the last day for seniors in high school for Gainesville. A group of about 20-30 seniors came to the parking lot outside the pool that I work at with big bottles of ketchup, mustard, syrup, bags of flour, and cartons of eggs. They got in a big fight with everything, and then my car got egged, at which point my "oh hell no" instincts kicked in. We often have to call the police for fights that break out around our pools (I actually had a couple of kids arrested last Friday), so I called the police dispatch to get our officers over to the pool. The kids had to clean the parking lot up and had their names taken down, but it still bugs that some high school punks would egg my car just because they think they're all big and bad for graduating.

Trying to pack for a month in Europe...

What to bring? What to leave home? Do I have everything I need?

Is everything I need paid for (nope)?

I'll be stressing until I land in London!

In another rant I stopped giving my roommates money for groceries considering I don't feel I'm getting my fair share of the food. With me getting up at dawn, exercising, going to work, then going to the gym (not getting home until 10:30pm), I'm pretty much gone all day. So when I get home I expect something for me to eat, which was the agreement. Two weeks ago I came home to a bottle of soy milk and some pickles. This happened for 3 days, so I had to go to the grocery store and buy food for me to eat. My roommate is anal about the kitchen and when I cooked something and didn't clean it to his specifications (In the 3 years I've lived there I've cooked only four times), he called me at work to bitch... then I read him the riot act for calling me at work for something that could have waited when I got home. Then I accused him of using the grocery money for his bills (which his previous roommates told me about) and read him a grocery list of complaints that he knew was true. Well his attitude changed to being friendly but he stopped cooking.

That's fine by me. I gotta finish paying for this Europe trip and the last thing I need is to give money to someone to cook when money is tight and they don't and their boyfriend eats up my portion of the food. Then I gotta buy food for me to eat; kind of defeats the purpose of contributing for food. I have to keep snacks and extra food in my closet so his boyfriend doesn't eat it. I won't even get into the other stuff they use up and don't replace.

They both need serious diets. And I need to look for my own place when I get back from Europe.

The frogs in my neighbor's pond make too much noise...

And my other neighbor's dog keeps barking for more than ten minutes when there is nothing to bark at...

No thieves, no mailman, nothing!

So STFU, stupid dog! I'm trying to work on my thesis!

Sorry, I had to let it out...

People who are always late really annoy me. A friend of mine, I have to tell him that we meet an hour early, because if I don't do this, he'll be an hour late! It's very inconsiderate and annoying, I think. And it's not even that hard to be on time... just leave earlier! Coffee at 6? Catch the bus at 5:30, not 6:15 and show up at half past the hour.

Yea, I have to agree. I hate when people are late all the time. What really pisses me off is that my boss is always late. She expects us to be on time, but she can feel free to roll in when she pleases. She calls people out for being late. Come on, how do expect your people to come in on time when you can't have enough respect for them to follow the damn rules youself!!

Another school idiot rant...

I mentioned in an earlier post about the idiots that I have to sit next to in Science class, and that we're in the family life unit. Pure hell, right? Wrong.

Today we got into AIDS and stuff like that, and the entire time, my entire group of idiots was doing their trademark high-pitched 6-year-old giggling. This is an honors class here, by the way. HONORS!

God, I hate people.

I got a tension headache. I had to "sound the alarm" to management yet again because a programmer lied to me about a program being ready to go and he hasn't even started. It goes live tomorrow.

I'll have to cancel my dinner plans because I'll be here at until at least 9pm again. And I told the programmer I didn't want to be here late again and he said nothing.

Hopefully my analysis gets approved so my program will allow people to go around him when creating these projects. Too many people are running around with knowledge of client projects and programs in their heads and not on paper. Time to take that away from them since they're causing me grief.

I'm the same way. Unfortunately, I live with a "late to everything" mother who says, "They say six o' clock! And that's what they mean! Not five fifty." It really annoys me when we are late to EVERYTHING because of her "come when they say" policy. We are never on time. If we are going to an event, we always get the absolute worst spots available because she never wants to be early. And I'm tired of walking into school events that have already started, and I missed important information.
