rcdude
My off-season will be primarily taken up by college (Mechanical Engineering is not an easy major), with the occasional ski trip thrown in. I may still be able to visit Knott's occasionally (maybe three times between now and Memorial Day, excluding WCB), and I'll probably go to SFMM once (excluding WCB), but other than those I don't plan to visit any other parks until I get out of school in mid-June. I'll just get my coaster fix by browsing TPR on a daily basis, watching Robb's DVDs, and planning next year's theme park trip(s). Oh yeah, I'll also be seeing plenty of movies and playing the occasional video game.
Blue Fire Guy
I'll be spending this off-season: 1.) Playing my copy of Pokemon White 2. It's a very good game that has kept me occupied in my free time, and it will keep on doing that all the way 'til spring. 2.) Looking back on the CGA thread to stare in awe at all of the Gold Striker porn that has been shot over the past few months, but not without taking a cold shower afterwards. 3.) Visiting Global Winter Wonderland when it opens later this month. Now I'm really looking forward to this! 4.) Can't forget to check TPR frequently! imawesome1124
My plans: 1. Go on TPR several times a day. 2. Play drums nonstop (assuming I get a kit around Christmas time like my parents said I would). That's about it, I don't have much of a life. I totally forgot about the webcam...when that does get up and running, I will most likely find myself staring at that for a while. Other things I forgot to mention: -Black Ops 2 -Pokemon Black 2 -Hopefully the Santa Claw (Really hoping this makes a return this year...didn't it get sold off somewhere or was it just in storage?) -No Limits -TPR IAAPA coverage (Or...Xmas for coaster nerds) -CGA/Global Winter Wonderland and some Dizzy Dragon takeovers
jray21
TPR Videos, TPR Boards, and LA since their parks are always open. Oh, and try to find a permanent job.

gisco
Going to be pretty busy this Winter. Lots of things on my plate. Since I'm unable to do a TPR trip this year I will probably spend some time planning a trip to Dollywood in the Spring since I have business in Nashville and maybe a trip to WDW in the fall with My new grand daughter. Chris Benvenuto
And if you say you live in California or Florida and don't have an off-season, angry, rabid monkeys will chew off your fingers. Also, angry ticks will fire out of this man's nipples (Don Hertzfeldt, anyone)? Well, POV's, reading materials and planning for the TPR gift exchange will hold me off til' Spring. My next park visit isn't until opening day 2013 for Cedar Point, which when I'll be riding GateKeeper of course. Until then, it's abunch of holiday and gift planning until next year. KoasterDan
I started my membership at the gym a few days ago. It should keep me entertained for the off-season. I also have Black Ops II to look forward to, and my basketball season starts around Christmas time until the end of February. Sadly, I won't be at SFNE's opening day in 2013. I'm going to Florida for baseball during Spring Vacation, so no parks until after that.
ernierocker
I guess I should participate since I started the thread. Looks like I will be getting quite a bit of theme park action during this off-season after all. Going to Texas for Christmas and will head over to Six Flags Over Texas for their holiday event. NTAG!!! Then, in January I will be heading down to Orlando for some special Disney time. I am sure I will pay at least one visit to Dollywood before it closes for the season as well. Besides that, I will be trying to keep two toddlers from tearing my house apart before it warms up outside again. gisco
I think this year I will try and sneak down to SFMM one weekend to ride Yolo. Other wise I will be riding my bike a lot and visiting the Scandi trip board in anticipation of an awesome trip next June!
Jew
I wish I had an off season. That would mean I would get some sort of actual vacation...

DanM64
I usually catch up on the latest Blu Ray/DVD releases, watch the Bears and Bulls games, and work. I would also like to build some shelves in my office to set up all my model airplanes and railroad stuff. If I get to craving some coasters I sometimes take 2 days off work and head up to Mall of America. I do plan on taking a Cali trip sometime early next year as long as the major coasters are all open. Kyle Coleman
Maybe sneak in a trip to Disney for a couple of days over the winter, check out el loco when it opens in December and plan my next big coaster trip for next June.

cmullin
I almost always visit a SoCal park in November because of my brothers soccer tournaments, so there's that, then TPR Youtube, RCT2, and TPR Forum.
booink
With Nolimits, TPR forum and TPR POVs, I think I can survive. That pretty much sums up my situation too ! I also hope to someday be able to travel to other places like Florida, California or Texas during the off-season so I can enjoy coasters year round and get new credits, but for the moment I don't have the $$$ to do it . Oh, dreaming !

Pyrozooka0
the sad sad time when most parks aren't open. my family always goes on a trip to WDW with a stop at Sea World Orlando in early January, and we are thinking of adding Universal (both parks, 1 day) to the trip this year. In other words, I am the lucky bastard who doesn't have to go through full coaster withdrawal
jray21
It's usually video games for me. No race to train for, so hopefully I'll be busy working and making money to give to TPR for trips and events.

In other words, I am the lucky bastard who doesn't have to go through full coaster withdrawal If y'all try to go to both... Try to stay at an affiliate hotel so you can get the early entry. If you don't, you are guaranteed massive crowds even during non busy time. Or at the least, be willing to separate your family to hit the single rider lines on forbidden journey. That saved massive amounts of time!! The early entry was nice because we were able to experience Wizarding world with no crowds. It was really nice. And we finished both parks by 3. It was great. Gives you guys plenty of time to go back around and re-ride!
yankeeman311
I usually switch to my sports side. I'm probably a bigger sports fan than coaster enthusiast so both are good. I get heavily invested in the baseball playoffs and then try to go to a few hockey games once that's over. Not to mention watching football every Sunday.
