walibi owner Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 hoeraaaay! and also a new video! i realy loved it! and also new HFN commercial
RCT3Bross Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I was really sceptical that the new ride would turn out to be a coaster, but they actually confirmed one? I mean the are rumors circling the internet for some time now stating the ride would be a Mack Megacoaster like Blue Fire, I have no objections about that. I'm not going to hope on some decent theming It's Walibi we're talking about, I'm still wondering when they're going to finish Speed of Sound. (I have to say Xpress second half queue looks great first half not so much).
Rollercoaster Rider Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Since they removed the Mouse coaster and TPR says they are lacking in family rides, Maybe a Mack Spinning Coaster?
thrillseeker4552 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 A spinning coaster seems possible, but I'd be even more thrilled to see a launch/mega coaster. The world needs more of those! The best trains/restraints in the industry.
gerstlaueringvar Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I would love to see a Mega Coaster but please don't be an Alpina Blitz clone. It doesn't matter if it use launch or traditional lift.
rcjp Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 ^Isn't the rumour a blue fire clone? if so, it would only be one more reason to go to the park (although I would rather see a custom coaster of that type).

Where did you get the rumor? That would be too many Bluefire clones even though they are super fun rides.
flaffstar99 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I dont think it's going to be a Launch or megalite. They have a launchcoaster already there and a coaster with a lot airtime, too. I would say they will built something like a watercoaster, it has thrill and they don't have smth. like there already The newer ones from Mack are rly Smooth

Where did you get the rumor? That would be too many Bluefire clones even though they are super fun rides. Oh, sorry. It wasn't a clone, just a ride of the same type. I just read what RCT3Bross wrote. I mean the are rumors circling the internet for some time now stating the ride would be a Mack Megacoaster like Blue Fire, I have no objections about that.

I completely forgot that they have an Intamin hyper already (not that a Mack mega coaster wouldn't suffice, but realistically, how can it beat Goliath?).
_koppen Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 This park have not invested in a new ride in what seems like forever. I would think that they would not invest in a big thrilling coaster immediately after deciding to invest again. I also feel that a big thrilling ride would not contribute anything to the parks lineup. There are already lot's of big thrilling coasters with inversions and also two airtime machines. What really lacks is one or two good solid family coasters. I would also guess for something like a water coaster or a spinning coaster.

RCT3Bross Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I hate that they feel the need to do this on a week day and I need to work till 15:45 and a good hour away from the park. But would have been interesting a backstage tour, anyway to bad, better luck next time. But this could mean we also will know the location by tomorrow evening, so some good news.
BDG Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 The ride will be built in this area. Give or take.
gerstlaueringvar Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Given the scale of that area, I would guess a Mack spinner or a small launched Coaster like Manta.
loop-de-loop Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 ^^I've built many different roller coasters in that area in RCT2. None were any Mack coasters though.
RCT3Bross Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 If my memory is correct this area isn't very big, omg no not the return of Flying Dutchman Gold Mine. No but, a Mack Mega coaster wouldn't that be too big for that are? Interesting location though, but I expected it to be more on the edge of the park.

Or something like Arthur at Europa Park?
Nrthwnd Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 (edited) Well, once we find out what type of coaster it is, then the rest shall follow.... EDIT to add: It will be awesome no matter what they want it to be. And it's a third credit for myself, if it all turns out right on Sept.21st. EDIT to add: This will NOT be a credit when I visit. Heck, it won't even be finished and open yet! Edited January 30, 2015 by Nrthwnd
flaffstar99 Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Just one thing: I looked on google earth, it's a good size for a mega lite
gerstlaueringvar Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Just one thing: I looked on google earth, it's a good size for a mega lite I don't think it's likely to happen in a park that already has a great Intamin mega coaster. But every park needs a Mega-Lite
Rollercoaster Rider Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) I'm just glad any of the Walibi parks are getting new coasters. Walibi Sud-Oust: Nothing since 02 Walibi Belgium: Nothing since 2008 and was closed less than 2 weeks later and removed Walibi Holland: Nothing since 02 and have removed a coaster since Walibi Rhone: Nothing since 02 Edited October 6, 2014 by Rollercoaster Rider
3Mutts Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 ^ Walibi Belgium had Vertigo in 2007 and while it operated for a VERY short time it should be included. But I do agree that all theses parks need new coasters and not just cheap redos.
