OISU8P
Hah..... Harold compares himself and Kat to Walmart. Re: Big Dipper.... is there any news at all?? Postby Harold Garmonsway » Thu Dec 09, 2010 7:18 am robbalvey wrote:Harold, your name is attached to this project. I hold you at least 50% responsible for anything that relates to the project, and that includes someone responding to those people who were kind enough to give you a donation. Passing the buck to Kat, basically saying it's "her fault", is just totally irresponsible on your part. --Robb Do you hold the CEO of Walmart responsible for hiring and firing every member of staff in every store owned by the company? Do you hold him responsible for knowing about every transaction, and all the financial details of every store owned by the company? Do you hold him responsible for knowing full details (and I mean FULL) of what's happening in every staff department in every store in the company? No? Why not? Because most businesses have certain jobs delegated to certain people to make the business easier to manage. Do you call the CEO of Walmart irresponsible because he delegates? Do you say he is passing the buck by doing this? I doubt it, yet this is what you are implying. Regardless of whether you agree or not, Kat is responsible for donations, and that has always been her responsibility. Therefore, she will always be the one to handle those issues, and this is why I'm referring everyone to her.
cfc
^A brillant analogy comparing the operations of a massive, international corporation to those of two people trying to raise money to save a roller coaster. And for an encore, he will prove that black is white and apples are actually oranges. One may as well ask, "Why is a raven like a writing desk?" ginzo
Kiwi is a funny motherfucker. Just because you delegate a responsibility doesn't mean that you don't check up on things from time to time. Nor does it mean that you don't address problems when they are put right in front of your face.
OISU8P
Yes, I found that part particularly funny. If the CEO of Walmart (or any company for that matter)found out that one of his/her delegates were not doing their job then they would address it. This could be either educating or firing the individual. Up until the past few days, I thought Kiwi was the smart one of the two. This just shows they are equally stupid. jray21
The more they speak, the more stupid and idiotic they come off. I don't know what everyone is talking about. Walmart and Nut Case Inc., seem to be EXTREMELY similar to me Revenue: Walmart - $419,000,000,000 vs. DIPperSH#@S - $350 Employees: Walmart - 2,100,000 vs. 2 Locations: Walmart 8,500 vs. 1 (3 if you count their home computers) With his response he has got to be a Congressman, and he's just using an alias. BeemerBoy
Why are we arguing with Harold Garmonsway about anything business-related? The man entered into an effort to save a wooden roller coaster on the other side of the planet from him........a coaster he has never ridden in his life. Um, yeah. chadster
I'm just curious how he got re-involved with the project. He's the one that was posting that he no longer recieved updates from Kat since they cut ties, and now all of a sudden, he's big man on totem pole. Delegating a fundraising task to a person who's failing math, that gets an A+ from me.
redfoot12
He probably got re-involved since he was the primary financier (that's probably not the appropriate term for involvement with this debacle) for purchasing the ride. Now it all seems to have stalled. Edit to add: I'm just wondering how these two got together and how this all transpired. Random coaster enthusiast in Ohio A: Who wants to go in with me on saving the Big Dipper? Random coaster enthusiast in Australia B: What's a "Big Dipper"? Coaster enthusiast A: It's a wooden roller coaster standing but not operating in a defunct park in America. Coaster enthusiast B: What's a wooden roller coaster? They don't have those where I live. Coaster enthusiast A: I like the cut of your jib. I choose you! Coaster enthusiast B: What's a jib? And who do I make the check out to?

ajc47
The latest response from Harold: Re: Big Dipper.... is there any news at all?? by Harold Garmonsway » Sat Dec 11, 2010 2:42 am I have spoken to Kat about the lack of thank you emails. and the responses: Re: Big Dipper.... is there any news at all?? by ajc47 » Sat Dec 11, 2010 10:31 am Harold, you're not getting this at all. This isn't about "thank you emails", this is about where the donations went. This is about the two of you not having a plan and not being truthful. Re: Big Dipper.... is there any news at all?? by robbalvey » Sat Dec 11, 2010 11:12 am Hey now, let's not get carried away here. Take things slow...remember... "baby steps." Harold is working on sending emails. Let's give him the breathing room he needs to get this task sorted out, and then once that has been accomplished, move on to other, more overwhelming requests. OISU8P
From looking at Robb's background on work experience. I am going to guess that $384 will not get them far on consulting fees with him.
