Echoing what many have said before, it's just mind-blowing that you don't need to sign a five-page, notarized liability waiver to play in there. Only went once, but I left with many bruises and many great memories. Â When I was there (as I recall), the shoe slides were an "upcharge" attraction. Is that still the case?

Unfortunately I think I couldn't stand being in a hot cramped elevator for a couple of minutes, I'm pretty sure its air conditioned so I wouldn't mind going up. No museum can get more interactive than that! I see a lot of Museums advertising interactive but they only mean push a button, hear a 1 hour lecture! I should go there next year.
SharkTums Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 The shoe slides are included. The roof is normally an upcharge. We rented out the entire museum and roof after normal hours so it was amazing!!!

Fun fact: according to the little movie shown at the base of the arch, the engineers predicted that 13 people would die building it. And because all the workers were trying so hard not to be one of the unlucky 13, no one died.

My mouth dropped open looking at all those slides especially the giant one!!! OHHHH MUST GO THERE ONEDAY! It will give me a huge reason to visit Missouri & of course SFSL! What a nice little trip that will be! I'm already planning a trip to Missouri & yet I won't be going there anytime soon. I'll get to Missouri one of these days.
