64gig Ipod Touch Question
greatamerica1990sfan replied to greatamerica1990sfan's topic in Random, Random, Random
These would be low quality like for instance the Jurassic Park Trilogy digital copy I would put on there. How many 2 hour movies(not hd) does everybody have stored on their 64gig Touch? -
^100% AGREED! Couldn't have said that better! My view is this: First replace Invertigo with a decent coaster like that woodie they want to put in or a Maverick clone, then replace Grizzly with something like Top Thrill Dragster/Melinimum Force type coaster, then finally replace Vortex with a coaster with something like a floorless. For replacing Tidal Wave/Stealth make Boomerang Bay twice the size-double the slides. & There you have a nicely turned around decent park.

Does the 64gig Ipod Touch have enough space for 21 half hour movies, & like 5 full length 2 hour movies? & Room left over for songs?

Oh Jaws pretty sad. I'll miss it. What a shame they're taking it out. Too bad I can't get down there for a few last rides. I have however rode it multiple times in 2002,2003, & 2006. I was there in 1992 but it was all boarded up because they were working on it since the original ride opening had all sorts of problems. I'm pretty sure it reopened in 1993. I sure hope ET is not next. They have to at least keep ET & Twister. Please no more Harry Potter. I'm hoping for another massive roller coaster. Universal needs more coasters. It's too hard to guess what kind of ride it will be. I'll just wait for the announcement.

"Anyone drive by California’s Great America during the week? I’ve heard one reported sighting off possible “ride parts” in the main parking lot that might be worth checking out to see if something else is on the way out or is something new is on the way in." From Screamscape. Hmmmmmm. Nothing has been posted to the permit page about this. Oh no it can't be another ride leaving. Not again! Nothing new hasn't been announced. Must be a ride leaving. But if anybody can snap a pic of the parts maybe it's a ride from the past coming in like Yankee Clipper.

CGA REALLY needs tighter security at night during the haunt to catch all the basterds line jumping & throw them out of the park. Wow it's been packed at night. I like reading about how packed it's been. Glad I don't go to haunt. I am asking for a huge request. If anyone is going tonight can someone take pictures of as many ride lines as possible? I want to see how full every ride is. Those few pics were great but I'd like to see more.

There should be maze attendents standing in front of the mazes not allowing strollers/infants/toddlers/anyone too young for that stuff. Are parents out of their mind? They should be slapped!!! What the heck are they thinking bringing these infants/toddlers to these Halloween events that is not approiate at all. What dummies.

Yep I haven't forgotten that the Grizzly cars used to be all brown & NO seatbelts & the lap bars were push down pull up. Haven't the way the lapbars work now have slightly changed? Weird uniforms! I'll search around Youtube to try to find anymore old Great America videos. Ah the Edge & Tidal Wave & Triple Wheel. I sure miss those. I could still hear the sound which the Triple Wheel made. It was so loud! As for the Clipper I don't really miss I guess because wasn't the Clipper layout a mirror image of Logger's Run?

I went on the Edge 1 time at CGA in 1995. Almost went on Freefall at SFMM in 1999-was waiting in line but the line was too long. Yes when your at the top rolling out to the edge that's the scariest part. Here's a great pic of me in front of Freefall in line @ SFMM 7/17/99. Wish I went on it! But didn't since I had very limited time there & my main focus was getting in all the coasters.

^^You forgot some very important ones: Triple Wheel last season 1997. Invertigo was in Triple Wheel's spot. Tidal Wave/Greased Lightnin last season 2002. Got removed for no reason at all. The Edge last season 1995. Got removed for Drop Zone in 1996. Days Of Thunder Action Theater movie. The Temple movie(not sure what it was called.) Hannah Barbera movie from Universal Studios. Smurf Woods I was so lucky I got to go on the Edge one time in 1995 thanks to my uncle getting my cousin & I to go on it. My cousin & I kept saying to each other in line oh I don't know about this! But my uncle kept saying oh come on. The Edge started my love of drop rides thanks to my uncle!.

When ever I go to CGA I wear my waste pack since I bring a sandwich for lunch. But of course by the time I eat my sandwich it's all squished but it saves me from buying that expensive food that's not good for you. Before getting on a coaster I slide my pack to the side of my waste & it's covered by my sweatshirt around my waste(my sweatshirt isn't big & bulky-lightweight) & no ride op has seen it. Smart way to do it. Or if I'm at Six Flags I wear my nylon shorts with 2 deep zipper pockets which is all I need to store my phone & money that way I'm not carrying around anything.

I'll be there opening day too. But with a Platium Qbot which will be soooo worth it. About Kong let me tell you once again. This year I had the most enjoyable ride on Kong I've ever had. Absolutely no head banging or ear bashing during the entire ride. I don't know if the row/train I was in made the difference-row 6/yellow train. Plus I had both hands holding the foam part above my shoulders. I love Kong now. But Roar DANG how did it get so frigen loud??? They need to make Roar a little quieter. It's much louder than the sound of the Grizzly's lift hill.
