The Italian Job coaster should be renamed "BMW have killed the Mini name"

 

I thought "Drop Zone" towers take their name from "The ride drops and the area round the tower is called a Zone"..

And Tomb Raider is "The Crypt"

 

Hahaha. Cedar Fair just makes it too easy to laugh at them. Those names smack of the cheap knock offs that are the very hallmark of the firm. I fully expect for Kings Island's hyper to be dubbed, "Big, Tall, Fast Coaster".

 

Anyone ever see that film Repo Man? Everything in that film is generic. When he opens the fridge it's full of white cans labeled "Food". That's kind of how Cedar Fair rolls.

 

I wonder when they're going to give up on paying marketing people to come up with these crap names, and will just start giving coasters numbers.

Great that Hypersonic is still running next season.

 

I know that it's not the best coaster out there but it's a credit for next year's trip.

^ Credit or not, the is one of the worst rides i've ever been on. I'm really surprised is hasn't been demolished yet. I guess nobody wants to buy it.

Nothing new so far but they have begun ripping up the pavement in the bus parking lot so Dominator will NOT be a parking lot coaster.

 

Go to www.kdsource.com & enter the forums to find a couple pics that were posted in the Dominator construction thread a couple weeks ago to see the pile of asphalt sitting in the lot.

Cedar Fair really suck at names and have for a while, and some idiot probably gets paid a fortune to come up with them - we've got the S & M coaster Domintor, the condom coaster Magnum XL-200, and I don't think Beaver and Ride should ever go together except maybe in porn.

 

And Maverick, how haven't they been sued, that name would have been trade marked a 100 times over. Oh and don't get started about their obsession with hawks, oh wow, a new ride we'll call it ..........hawk.

 

I hope Hypersonic hangs around so I can get the credit on the East Coast trip though waiting in line will probably take so long I'll miss half of the other credits because I'll run out of time.

The line for Hypersonic is absolutely a joke. We rode all of Kings Dominion's coasters in about 4 hours last July, and about 90 minutes of that time was spent in queue for Hypersonic.

 

I don't think it's particularly hard to do Kings Dominion in half a day, provided that you're not there on Saturday or something.

I would be surprised if the East Coast trip hit KD on a Saturday or Sunday.
