cal1br3tto Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I heard the latest Beetle doesn't have the flower vase, as it wasn't manly enough. I didn't care for the new look the very first time I saw it, but now I like it fine.
BigBadWolf666 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Back in 2005, my dad and I bought a not so good looking 1967 Chevelle. It had no interior (except for a steering column!) and no engine. We actually got a good deal on it, as we only paid $500 for it, while the local junkyard wanted $650. So after 5 years of work, in the winter of 2010, we finally had it done! I drive the car to this day and hope to keep for a looooooooooooooong time. Before (2005) After (2010)
imawesome1124 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 ^That car is dead sexy! The Chevelle is one of my all-time favorite cars.
Ace Of Spades Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Dude, that's freaking awesome! Love the old Chevelle! And good to see you weren't one of those people who tried to give it a crappy looking spray-job. Just nice pristine white.
BigBadWolf666 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Thanks guys! It cost out the @$$ (I think our grand total was just over $8,000?), but it was all worth it.
thrillerman1 Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 This is great that there's a thread about the new Cars record.
ParkTrips Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 ^ No need to scramble your plate, I don't think anyone will go through the trouble to steal a Honda
FeelTheFORCE Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 My first "new" car that I got a few days ago. A 2011 Subaru Impreza 2.5i 5-door. It's no WRX, but it's still a great car, and really fun! I'm having a blast with the 'sport mode' it has (although my wallet isn't).
no_brain_er Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I'm really starting to like Kia for some reason. It started out with the Soul (which I loved from the start), then they released the Forte (I like the Forte Koup even more than the Soul), and now this! It's the new Kia Rio design that was revealed at the NY Auto Show this year, and I must say, as a fan of smaller cars and hatchbacks, I'm nothing short of ecstatic. Not too far off from the original, but somehow or another they made it look even better. Let's just hope I'll be able to afford one when the time comes for me to get my own car!
ParkTrips Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 You should never like the Soul, based on the "this or that" commercial. I won't even link to it because it is so terrible.
A.J. Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I hate that Kia is trying too hard with their styling. They all just look like a mash-up of shapes. I wish Kia would have kept up the "clean" design language established by the Cadenza - With the badge actually on the grille, of course.

mcjaco Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Your Father was a hampster, and your Mother smelled of elderberries!
ParkTrips Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 ah bbs wheels... probably the one thing that can take attention away from the fact that it's a beetle
Ace Of Spades Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I always thought that the Bugatti Veyron looked like an elongated VW Beetle...now it appears that the Beetle looks like a Veyron! (SuperSport, that is)
ParkTrips Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 looks like BMW is following Audi's lead and making their coupe and sedan offerings different model numbers for the 1- and 3-series (1 and 3 for sedan variants, 2 and 4 for coupes and convertibles).. http://rumors.automobilemag.com/bmw-create-new-2-series-4-series-lineups-53147.html
ParkTrips Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 speaking of... is the TT a respectable car yet? Its not bad in pictures to me, but its a bit overpriced IMO and I didn't like the TTS as much when I saw it on the street recently

Jew Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 ^Maybe he's one of the only 100 lucky owners in the U.S. who will get one. And just happened to get it before they were released. Anyways...Ryan Dunn destroyed a perfectly good GT3 the other day.
