ginzo Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 It's only really a "problem" though if they're causing harm to someone or something by illegal means. Until then, it's just idiots rambling. At least that's the way I look at it. If I ignore them, "problem" solved. Plus, it's less stress on you. Oh man. I've followed Westboro Baptist Church for years. It's such an interesting thing. They're basically just looking to start shit. Basic attention whores. Interestingly enough, they're fairly intelligent people. Many people in the Phelps family work as lawyers. Louis Theroux did a BRILLIANT documentary about them called "The Most Hated Family in America". Check it out.
BeemerBoy Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26108167/?GT1=43001 I remember reading the other day that he had been hospitalized, but this was truly a shock to read this morning! As a fan, it's pretty sad.
ms13 Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Holy crap, that came out of nowhere. This is very sad I was a fan of his. A great person taken way to early
knottslover77 Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 This is very sad. I loved his work, R.I.P --Jay
chmilo24 Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I cna't belive that he is gone. Yesterday on the news, I heard someone say he was improving. I loved his show and thought that he was a great comedian. RIP Mac --Chris
socalMAN123 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Such a shocking death, my prayers go out to his family. He was a great man and his comedy is still some of my favorite. RIP Bernie Mac. ---Brent
ginzo Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Yeah, this is a real loss. His cameo in "Don't Be A Menace To South Central" remains one of my favorite comedy scenes ever. I always thought he was heavily underrated and hilarious in everything I saw him in. He seemed like the kind of guy who could be funny tying his shoes.
TheHulk Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Yea, I just heard about this tonight. I loved his show, and I was a fan of his. RIP Bernie.
Wes Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Sad stuff. Who is gonna do the intro bits for Kanye albums now?
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 He's with big moma now. Im requium, I'll find some random kid and bust his head open 'til the white meat show. RIP Mr. Mac.
TheRapidsNerd Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Music/08/10/hayes.obit/index.html No more Hello Children.... Sad to see him go, especially after Bernie Mac this weekend. Rest in peace.
Carnage Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 To be honest, for some reason I kept thinking he died years ago.
doublex98 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I knew this was one of the voices on South Park the creators of South Park did not do themselves....R.I.P. Chef was a great character.
ParkTrips Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 maybe it was when he left South Park? Didn't he have a heart attack or stroke around that time too?
Wes Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 And he had recently finished work on a movie called “Soul Men” in which he played himself, starring Samuel Jackson and Bernie Mac, who died on Saturday. Sam better watch out...
TheRapidsNerd Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 ^ Lol! Oh man.... ^^Joe, I vaguely remember something like that too, but then, my brain's more than a bit water-logged.
larrygator Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I did not realize Issac Hayes was a Scientologist until this morning.
thrillgeek Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Wow two great people passing away. R.I.P. Issac AKA Chief
larrygator Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Wow two great people passing away. R.I.P. Issac AKA Chief Are you auditioning for a Snickers commercial?
ginzo Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I did not realize Issac Hayes was a Scientologist until this morning. Yep, it was most likely fall out from the Tom Cruise episode of South Park that prompted Hayes to quit the show.
cfc Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 ^Word was that he wasn't happy that South Park was going ot make fun of Scientology (it really is the most humor impaired of all "religions," I think). The soundtrack from Shaft was great album.
Homer Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 This is what happens when you join the SUPER Adventure Club. Now I want to watch Chef Aid. As if losing Chef seemed kind of an empty feeling for South Park. Now a world without Issac Hayes?
