expeditioneverestfan Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Whats up with the Chris and real space shuttle thing? How did that start? What does it really mean?
Meteornotes Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 When we were on the Japan 2007 TPR trip and at Space World, Chris asked if a model space shuttle was "the real space shuttle". Asking something this dumb meant that he would be tormented about it forever, and so it continues! Â dt
expeditioneverestfan Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 Ok. I thought that might have something to do with it.
Sir Clinksalot Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 You must remember, the owners and members of TPR LOVE to use these kinds of things against each other. Â Some turn into long-running jokes, some (like my former screen name) turn into, well, screen names.
robbalvey Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Dave is correct.... Â Chris thought....actually really thought, that this.... Â Â Was in fact a REAL Space Shuttle. That somehow, Space World managed to get NASA to part with that inexpensive thing to be used as a theme park prop. Â He will never live it down! Â
Coaster Sim. Fan Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 This might make for an interesting topic, of what strange things have you convinced people of, while at a park. Â I went to a water park once with some friends. There was a slide name jaws. Well we got one of my friends to believe that the reason it is named jaws, is that when you hit the pool at the end of the slide, there is a shark in it, and you have to swim out of it as fast as you can to try and avoid getting attacked. Â He was basically freaking out about it the whole time we were on line, and thought we were crazy for risking getting attacked by a shark.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 None of this is true at all!! Its all lies! I was asking Bob Hoffman a question, and ill admit, I asked a really stupid question...I basically left out a few words, lol. But for the record, I never thought it was a real space shuttle, haha. Â But the jokes are still funny. Â I also cant believe there is actually a thread talking about this!
mcjaco Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 But for the record, I never thought it was a real space shuttle, haha. Â Oh how you wish. We know you too well.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 ^If you really knew me well, youd know that I always screw up what im trying to say or ask. Â Â ^You...There! Â HAHAHAHA. That is the only time I have ever said something like that! And I still stand by the theory that I only said it cause we kept making jokes the whole trip that I was gonna happen. Â I was litterally on the floor laughing.
OldJJman Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Let's not forget about Chuck (cfc) and the "red button"!! Â Â Â
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Let's not forget about Chuck (cfc) and the "red button"!! Â Who ever though going to the bathroom could cause a bullet train to stop and could cause thousands of commuters to be held up! Â Im gonna leave this one to Chuck. Or Elissa's version is pretty good too, hahaha.
cfc Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 ^It is amazing just how much power one can wield by pressing the wrong button in a bullet train toilet. (It's also amazing that despite stopping and restarting, we still made our destination pretty much on time.) Â Remember kids--green button good, red button bad.
TheRapidsNerd Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 You know, I think of him ever time I go to the space center. Because IT IS a REAL SPACE SHUTTLE. Â Will get a pic next time I'm over there.
sfne2005 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 What about Shane and the clamshells? That too was awesome!!!
Nrthwnd Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 people are dumb  On TPR tours, I like to call it "uninformed..."     But Shane and the ATM line was pretty funny, lol.
SharkTums Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Lack of sleep and too much drinking on TPR Trips seems to lead to some awesome jokes!!!
gisco Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I would like to point out that what Chris said to me was in fact, and I quote "Is that a real Space Shuttle?" Â Bob
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 And then Bob went running off the Robb and Elissa with a look of excitement that I have never seen! Â You couldn't wait to tell them!! Haha.
expeditioneverestfan Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 And let's not forget Chris's experience with the llamas at the ghetto fair. When I first saw that on the Midwest D.V.D. I was laughing for a long time. It was so funny.
expeditioneverestfan Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 Does anyone not know about the Llama?
