coasterdude5 Posted July 7, 2007 Author Posted July 7, 2007 I thought I would bump this seeing as alot of parks have changed/updated their sites. I'm very impressed with Wild Aventure's and Cypress Gardens's new sites: www.wildadventures.net www.cypressgardens.com
Homer Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I think Go Karts Plus has the best website ever. http://www.gokartsplus.com/ Seriously, who uses the term "Cyber Punk?" What about goons or /b/-tards?
RollercoasterTigger Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 From the sites I have looked at recently I would have to say the best would be Thorpe Park and the worst Alton Towers. Thorpe as all the information on the site - ticket prices, promo, opening etc but I find some of the information hard to find on Alton's Maybe it's just me.....
downunder Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I like the Cedar Point site, it has lots of interesting stuff even the annual ridership of each ride and point of view videos, and even a download of the millennium force station music.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Favorite- Cedar Point. Worst- Knotts Berry Farm.
GMAN962 Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I think that Knott's is the worst. However, believe it or not, I like Six Flag's website a lot. The only real problems that I have with it is the fact that there are a lot of things wrong with it. I like the design and feel of the site. It feels warm, and welcoming to me. I don't know if it's just me. -Mike
niiicolaaah Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I hate Disney's website, cause it takes forever to load.
Wes Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 ^ Totally. Those guys are terrible. I think they pay them to sit on their asses all day.
imbordisux Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Just as "Knotts" is a textbook example of how NOT to compile your site, CP is a textbook example of how TO do it - tons of pics and videos of all the rides, easy access to all the info needed to plan your trip, a cute little banner on top... this is how all parks should have their sites.
Cyber.Fiber Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Favorite site: www.cedarpoint.com/ Least Favorite Site: Any of the "Paramount" ones. They have no info on the rides at all. They don't even have their own page per ride.
coasterdude5 Posted July 8, 2007 Author Posted July 8, 2007 ^ I agree, the new Cedar Fair/Paramount park websites are tacky, IMO. It'd be cool if they would all eventually have their own site theme like all of the other Cedar Fair parks do.
CP_RULES Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Best- Obviously CP's. Worst- MiA's. It's bare, boring, and hard to get information on, and this is a park that should have a good site. Though I will admit, it seems as though they have updated it a little bit.
the sound Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Not sure if this stands anymore, but i remember the Paramount Parks having really, really crap websites.
CoasterTalk Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Best: Cedar Point Worst: Not sure... There are alot of bad ones though!
dr.gumbo Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I don't know about worst or best but the a good one'would' be Knott's if they could be arsed to finish it off rather than use pages from there old website. Example of a complete page. And an example of a downright lazy page Another website that could be great is Drayton manors, but is let down badly due to its poor maintainance. For example links on there homepage don't work, thats really professional. Try and click on the pictured links. Knotts and Drayton manor, anyone notice anything about these parks... (sorry for digging up an old topic BTW)
Goliath513 Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Six Flags has definitely improved their site recently.
Chadley Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Best - Holiday World, (the Holiblog makes it well worth my time) Kennywood Knoebel's Worst - All the Cedar Fair/Paramount sites, and the revamped SF sites aren't impressive either.
Xtremecoaster Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Best: 1.Walt Disney World 2.Cedar Point 3.Tivoli Gardens Worst: 1.Uncle Bernies Theme Park 2.Tosselilla
slither37 Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Best: Cedar Point and any other site that has videos. Worst: Kings Island and the other former Paramount Parks. You would think that Cedar Fair would update those sites.
EmBy Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 http://www.fantasyisland.co.uk Out of the big parks in the UK, Fantasy Island's website is pretty bad. It looks the same as it did a few years ago, very confusing, lots of info out of date, photos are bad too.
