I wouldn't ditch one for the other, but I agree that "Coastertube" more properly defines what it actually is (which is a dedicated niche topic with videos in the style of YouTube.) The mass amount of people, especially "non-geeks" that may wanna try to find a POV of the coaster they just went on, would probably be immediately drawn to something that literally defines itself as "youtube but with coasters instead."

I can think off hand of several other "tube" sites that feature niche topics. Good for you for snagging the one related to coasters, and I think for that reason alone you should "market" it under Coastertube. Easy to say, easy to remember, and it defines itself in the title.

Given the pretty wide range of the videos you guys produce, having a collection of videos dedicated to the more personal, fun and wacky antics could be labeled as "TPR TV" which feels a little more community based.

Someone already mentioned a Podcast as well, and I think that is a GREAT idea. Like any certified coaster nerd, I usually (to my social demise) really enjoy talking about roller coasters and hearing others talk about coasters, especially ones I haven't been on. Having a "radio style" Podcast where you guys review coasters and parks, discuss future trips, have people call in for trip planning advice, and even interview industry folk (like the guys from GCI) would be AWESOME. I would download the hell outta those. Just like Leo Laporte does with tech gadgets, you guys could do it with the amusement park industry and (I think) have quite the following.

I kind of went back and forth on this but in the end I voted for TPR TV. It has more of a ring to it and it directly associates itself to TPR.

Coastertube may be more descriptive but then again is it really necessary? After all, over 28,000 people have registered for TPR and we really don't have theme park reviews ... yet!

In my humble opinion, CoasterTube sounds too much like YouTube, and it's more than just coasters. There's park footage, dark rides, and other non-coaster stuff. Even then, I feel that the name 'TPRTV' leaves a little bit to be desired

How about something unique, or even something totally random, like DonkeyVision

Everything I wanted to say but was way too lazy to write it... Thanks Mike!

Personally, I greatly prefer TPR TV to CoasterTube as a name, but I think TPR TV would make an even better name for a podcast or something along those lines.

EDIT: Also, maybe this is just me, but I'm not much a fan of the TPR TV logo. It just feels sort of plopped down. It doesn't flow with the any other part of the site, IMO.

TPR's Awesome Coaster TV Tube Show Great Job.

Actually, I voted for CoasterTube, simply so I don't have to explain what it is every time I mention it to someone. I think TPR TV sounds catchier and more fun to say, but CoasterTube will make more sense to the masses.

I just hate the masses.

CoasterTube has an 's' in it and I have a lisp, so TPR TV gets my vote!

And now we discover the REAL reason why you liked The Dark Knight more than Sex and the City! I knew you didn't ACTUALLY think Dark Knight was the superior film.

TPR TV sounds better and doesn't sound like another YouTube wanna be. I'm aware that it's the Theme Park Review version of YouTube, but there are so many Youtube wanna be names out there, like TeacherTube and GodTube, that the internet doesn't need a name like CoasterTube!

I think TPR TV should be the actual name, but perhaps somehow tie Coastertube into a tagline or something? Like "TPR TV: The World's Most Comprehensive CoasterTube" or something like that. I really think you should keep TPR TV as the real thing, because it establishes TPR as a brand. Coastertube is too generic.

I agree with this. I like using both.

I went with TPR TV, Im just not sure about the name Coastertube. It's definitely more original than all the other things ending in 'tube' etc.

It depends how much you want to use it to attract more people to the site, if you're not bothered, then TPR TV is by far the better name IMO. I have also noticed that simply going onto YouTube and typing in 'Nemesis POV' etc does quite often bring up one of your videos anyway (which could then be linked to TPR TV). I guess it depends on how people looking for coaster videos will do their search.
