JFrombaugh
Doesn't seem all that noteworthy to me...at first glance anyway. I can see it being a surprise hit, but it kinda reminds me of Boardwalk Bullet without the compact tight turns. BTW, everyone remember their bets that the markings for this coaster were for a water pipeline repair?
coolhandluke
^Hmm, this doesn't remind me at all of Boardwalk Bullet. This thing seems way too spread out, too out-and-back, and less stacked on top of itself. To each his own though--I'm certainly not calling your opinion wrong, I just don't see it. This reminds me more of "mini-Beast" or Boulder Dash. Looks like I need to make some friends in KC, or come up with some other fail-proof reason to get out there. Particularly at night. The Alex
Does anybody think that this project--or other future builds as well--could be cancelled or seriously postponed due to this economy recession we're facing? I don't know how to precisely describe my thoughts, but that's my shot. Anyone? Bueler? Anyone?

Remember that I said without the compact tight turns. I was referring to the small bunny hills, which Boardwalk Bullet has plenty of, and the fact that they both have the same top speed (51mph) and similar height.[/b]
coolhandluke
^Ok. I guess I can kinda see an unfolded and unwound Bullet in it. Let's just hope it holds up a bit better than I've heard Bullet has in terms of quality rides. It shouldn't have the beachside weather to deal with being all tucked away in the trees and woods back there.

RIP Psyclone
It's not fair. I hope that soon we'll be able to pleasure ourselves to SFMM construction pics as well.
restoca
^ With all the dreadful financial SF news of late, I was recently trying to think of what major new attractions were rumored for any SF park in 2009. All I could think of was new trains for SFNE's Superman. Should we expect more, realistically? I, for one, am not holding my breath. But I'm hopeful... MixedDrink
^ Well, there is wood piled up at SFMM, I don't think they can un-buy a woodie. Aren't there contracts the parks and designers have to sign?
Jive
Park update. http://prowler.worldsoffun.com/public/latest/index.cfm?gallery_directory=construction&startRow=76&maxRow=15 Since it stays pretty close the ground they are making quick work of it. GoldRusheROCKS
I left MO in September hoping to never have to go back there, but seeing this getting built is really testing me! lol... plus I never did get to go to SFSTL and SDC.
DiSab
They're really moving on this ride. I can't wait until its finished - looks like it'll be great. Time to make a trip to WoF.
CP_RULES
I left MO in September hoping to never have to go back there, but seeing this getting built is really testing me! lol... plus I never did get to go to SFSTL and SDC. SFStL is a GREAT park, you really need to go there if you've never been.
Jive
It's starting to gain some height. They were probably about half way up the drop when we left at 5pm. http://www.coastercommunity.com/index.php/prowler3.html
DiSab
This is coming along really nicely. I can't wait to see the drop when it's all finished.
Jive
The weather was pretty nice yesterday so we headed up to WoF to see how the drop/lift are progressing. They are 3 bents away from the apex and those will likely be installed in the next couple of days. All of the track bed layers are in place back in the turnaround and workers have started making their way back to the lift area on the out run. http://coastercommunity.com/gallery2/v/Construction/prowler/
DiSab
Holy hell, did they really get all that done in the last week?!? I knew GCI was good about getting their rides in quick, but I don't think I've seen a woodie go up that quickly. Or maybe I'm just an idiot. But based on how fast they got the tallest part of the ride built, I wouldn't be surprised to see the rest built, or close to built, within the next few months (given how low to the ground the rest of the track travels). Jive
I agree. The bents in the parking lot awaiting placement are between knee and hip height. The 2nd hill that goes though the lift isn't even that tall. The two bridges across the creek are going to take some time though.
Evan1127
For those interested, the second tallest bent is currently being stood. The one before that was stood earlier today. http://prowler.worldsoffun.com/public/latest/webcam.cfm
Jive
Those tall one's don't look like they would survive a lift like that. I would be really nervous standing anywhere near that.
