P. 177: 2025 park enhancements announced!

A dark ride could fit into the arcade building with a few expansions not I clouding the queue. They could move the timberwolf exit, and if they are removing Thinderhawk, use that area with the abandoned games for a que and exit to the dark ride.

Still not sold on Thunderhawk removal though I could be wrong.

I asked a few people at the park who would know if ThunderHawk was done and they said yes. I have heard it has already been removed from the website as well.

In doing research on Knotts dark ride the ride length is 600' long. Now considering the coaster refurb being Timber Wolf and the family addition nearby the dark ride could be nearby. Still not sold on Thunderhawk removal though I could be wrong. Is the old arcade large enough to house the attraction? Would it need expanded? Would Cyclone Sams be possible with addition, and NO I do not want another removal. Relocation of Sams if they keep it indoors with a/c but just dont it happening. What building exists at WOF that could house a 600' ride or longer since I am speculating on one ride installation area. I would love to see a mild chance morgan coaster/dark ride combo similar to Canadas Wonderland. It would fill several needs for the park within budget, but it will more than likely be similar to Knotts in mechanicals only. Any thoughts on what ya'll think keeping within reason of WOF budget?

From the park: the dark ride will be located where the current games are in Bicentennial Square.

The HUSS Top Spins are starting to die like crazy. The problem is that they don't age well at all. There's too many parts to keep up on, they almost always have features chopped off of them, and their structures have been prone to cracking and corroding.

You would have to think that soon HUSS will come out with a second gen top spin like they did with the Condor and Enterprise.

^ You know, it's pretty easy to check. I just did, and yes, Thunderhawk is no longer on worldsoffun.com.

I had already been told it was taken off the website, so I didn't feel the need to check. But thanks for stating the obvious.

Thanks for the clarification on Thudnerhawk everyone. Even though I love to speculate its good to see facts on certain things as well. Does this mean another flat ride in the vicinity along with dark ride install?

You're welcome. Hey, while I was there, I noticed that they've announced a giga coaster for next year called Tall Hawk and they're selling platinum passes for $1. It's on the website. So you know, no need to fact check or anything.

Some of us do fact check. Last time I was there it was still listed. Last time I checked this was a DISCUSSION FORUM for enthusiasts. While you may not agree with how registered users get that information is irrelevant to the matter. We SHARE what we know and being judgmental is not conducive to a friendly discussion environment.

^ I don't think you're entirely getting my point, but that's all right. Really, my objection is to the phrase "I have heard." Why post something as rumour when it is so easily verifiable? Facts are better.

My new favorite ride name ever.

No worries; it's all good. We're all passionate about our hobby, and why not? It's a significant investment of time and money. I know I can come off a bit brash, as well, especially to those who don't know me. I don't (usually) intend to be rude, though; you fight karma, and you will lose.

I was simply trying to let someone know that ThunderHawk was finished at Worlds of Fun and had checked with park personnel to verify it. I added that I had heard that the ride had been removed from the website as well, which it had.

FYI - It makes perfect sense what you did, The moderators would have made the same post.

About One Week Away From "HAUNT"!!

I really hope HAUNT turns out well this year. It has been an absolute disaster from the inside (in terms of management) so I'm hoping it won't show at the event. I doubt it will. But if you're going, make sure to come see me down in the Boneyard!
