coasterstud522 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 What coaster that you have been on has the most inversion. If you could, name what kind they are (loop, corkscrew, Immelmann). Mine is Top Gun/Afterburn (Carowinds) with 6 inversion. Including a loop, an Immelmann, a Zero-G roll, a Batwing, and a corkscrew.
cfc Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Colossus at Thorpe Park in the UK still holds the record, I think--10 inversions. I understand that there's a clone of Colossus in China.
Hobbesx2 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I think he wants to know the most you've been on. Probably Riddler or Mantis or something. Not sure.
rollerboy Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Mines only 4 lol. Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park. It has a vertical loop, Zero G Roll and Interlocking Corkscrews! Jordan.
cfc Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I think he wants to know the most you've been on. Probably Riddler or Mantis or something. Not sure. Same answer then--Colossus at TP. Kind of an overrated ride, I think.
Groteslurf Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 ^ same here : Colossus. 10 inversions : 1 looping, 1 cobraroll, 1 double corkscrew and 5 zero-G hartline rolls. (I admit I had to look it up on rcdb.com)
rollerboy Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Colossus at TP. Kind of an overrated ride Oh right, I am riding it for the first time in a few weeks! So its not all its hyped up to be then? Jordan.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Mine would be Viper at SFMM. 7 inversions: 3 loops (2 back to back), a butterfly loop (counts as 2), and two corkscrews. For those who might consider GASM at SFGAd, that has the same inversion layout. Scream also has 7............. Ahhhhhhh!!!! I've been on lot's of coasters with 7 inversions! Maybe since I went on Scream before Viper, that would be mine. So either Scream or Viper would be mine.
Corkscrew Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 The Wild Thing at Wild Waves, it has three inversions (Loop, double corkscrew) I don't exactly live in an area with lots of amusement parks :/
Team Thriller Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Medusa (SFKD) 7 Inversions: Let me try doing this by memory here: (Which means if somethings wrong, that's why.) 1.) Vertical Loop 2.) Immelmann 3.) Sea Serpent first half 4.) Sea Serpent second half 5.) Zero-G Roll 6.) Corkscrew 1 7.) Corkscrew 2 EDIT: Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Has also 7 inversions. (I forgot about that one) --James
sfmmrules! Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Viper & Scream & SFMM, Medusa @ SFDK, Incredible Hulk @ IOA, & Montu & Kumba @ BGA all have 7 inversions Robb & Elissa what coaster do you think has the most inversions?
haux Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 The most I've been on is seven because I've only been in the States. I've been a few with seven inversions. Montu, Kumba, Viper, Scream and Incredible Hulk.
nemesis-storm Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 ^ same here : Colossus. Me too, then followed by Dragon Khan at PortAventura. Before Colossus arrived DK held the 'record' for most inversions with 8. Loop Dive Loop Zero−G Roll Cobra Roll Loop Interlocking Corkscrews
cfc Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Colossus at TP. Kind of an overrated ride Oh right, I am riding it for the first time in a few weeks! So its not all its hyped up to be then? Jordan. A lot of people love it, but for me it was a few inversions too many (and a bit rough in spots). It's all a matter of preference. I hope you enjoy your ride.
FeelTheFORCE Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 For me it's: Viper (SFMM) Medusa (SFGAdv) Scream (SFMM) Great American Scream Machine (SFGAdv) Hydra: The Revenge (Dorney Park) All of them have 7 inversions.
Rollerman87 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Yep, I'm like most, Scream and Viper are the coasters with the most inversions for me.
JDo217 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Incredible Hulk - seven inversions. Sadly I cannot remember all of the other B&Ms that I've been on with 7, but I know there's more.
signal Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Colossus. Yeah it is pretty over-rated. Now Nemesis Inferno is worth going to TP for.
Jcoaster Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Medusa (SFGADv) and GASM (SFGAdv). Medusa 1. Vertical loop 2. Dive loop 3. Zero-G Roll 4,5. Cobra Roll 6.Corkscrew 7.Corckscrew GASM 1. Vertical loop 2.Vertical loop 3. Vertical loop 4,5. Butterfly loop 6. Corkscrew 7. Corkscrew
revilolee Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Incredible Hulk at IOA - 7 inversions. Zero-G Roll Cobra Roll Loop Corkscrew Loop Corkscrew
scooterdoug Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Viper & Scream! (SFMM) Medusa (SFDK) GASM (SFGAdv) Kumba & Montu (BGT) All have 7 inversions. Between all of them, they contain 11 Vertical Loops, 3 Dive Loops, 1 Immelmann, 4 Zero-G Rolls, 2 Cobra Rolls, 1 Sea Serpent, 3 Batwings, and 11 Corkscrews. Unless you go by the Guinness Book of World Records, in which case the most inversions I have been through on one coaster is 14 on Eejanaika. However, anyone who has been on that ride can tell you without any doubt that Eejanaika does not go upsidedown 14 times. I would say 5 times...maybe...and that's being generous, as several of the "inversions" are questionable. And yet, there's the Guinness plaque at the entrance. Weird... -Doug
coasterdude5 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 It's a tie between Hulk and Kumba. Those are the only two seven-loop coasters I've been on.
rollerboy Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Colossus at TP. Kind of an overrated ride Oh right, I am riding it for the first time in a few weeks! So its not all its hyped up to be then? Jordan. A lot of people love it, but for me it was a few inversions too many (and a bit rough in spots). It's all a matter of preference. I hope you enjoy your ride. Thank you, yeah I have heard a few mixed opinions. Thanks again, Jordan.
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Scream! SFMM-7 1. Vertical Loop 2. Dive Loop 3. Zero G Roll 4./5. Cobra Roll 6./7. Interlocking Corkscrews Viper SFMM 1-3. Vertical Loops 4/5. Butterfly Loop 6/7. Double Corkscrews
